TRINITY 2 REPORT 10-07-2006
SPIRIT MEMBERS PRESENT: Brandy, Denise, Jeanne, Amy, Debbie and one new potential member.
Homeowners numbered 2 with 2 cats, 2 dogs and two finches.

Equipment used: Dual Readout Infrared Thermometer, Casio Exilim 6,0 digital camera with image stabilization, Fujitsu Lifebook with Wave.Pro recording software.
This investigation, though not a repeat, is related to the original Trinity investigation, so, I did have prior information and a few expectations, however, the results of this investigation took a completely different path from those expectations.
What I remember from the past; Denise upon entering Trinity 1 felt a very strong overpowering male presence that simply “went away” Denise also kept picking up the name “Scooter”, which was the name of the Trinity2’s home owner’s dog that was acquired after the passing of Trinity 1’s close female relatives. Also, that the Trinity 1 entities were very weak.
Trinity 2 homeowners were delightful and friendly people, most welcoming and even supplied the SPIRIT members with a wonderful banquet that we gratefully enjoyed and we thank you very much for your hospitality and kind gifts that we will certainly put to good use.
The silent walk thru commenced with Brandy, the new potential and Jeanne comprising one group and Denise, Amy and myself teaming up and taking the dining room and kitchen area. We did not have an EMF detector in my group. My very first impression upon entering the home was being drawn to the “backdoor”. This backdoor was really the door to the Master Bedroom and was closed. I captured multiple orbs in the living room. I did not capture any orbs in the kitchen or the dinning area. Temperature varied little ranging from 78.4 in the living room to 75 degrees in the Master bedroom by the closets and master bath. The short hallway with the closets between the Master Bedroom and the Master Bathroom had a strong drawing affect on Denise. This area was and stayed noticeably cooler throughout the investigation. Denise had several episodes of “freezing” and once almost doubled her over. Only once did I record a temperature of 1.7 degrees lower than the rest of the room.
One highly interesting episode happened in the Master bedroom. The Homeowners were redecorating and had painted several different paint colors on the wall in swatches. I spoke out loud telling the entity that if it would go next to the color of paint it liked the best and let me take a picture of it, I would let the homeowners know it’s choice. I counted 1,2,3 to give the entity notice and then snapped the picture. There was a distinct orb directly underneath one of the color swatches. I have included that picture with this report and also did notify the homeowners of the entity’s choice as promised.
Examined the son’s bedroom, guest room but did not detect anything by impression or on film.
During the investigation Denise requested I take keep taking pictures of the male homeowner. Each time Denise made this request I would get a very large solid orb hovering around him.
When the group came back together, we compared notes and impressions and examined our pictures. We determined that the best place to attempt EVP work and communication would be the Master bedroom and we proceeded there.
EVP: Total time for recording 1 hour 5 minutes. Just after setting up our equipment, I had a very loud ringing in both ears. The new potential also reported a ringing and Denise said she had ringing but in only her left ear, which was closest to me and in direct line of the closet area. Only one notable EVP was recorded and that is the sound of thumping, like a heartbeat, followed immediately by an audible EMF spike. This EVP was recorded when no one was in the room as the SPIRIT members were very busy with the banquet out in the kitchen. We left our equipment running in the Master bedroom on Denise’s advice. The entity was considered to weak to communicate but it is thought that the homeowner’s attempt at getting pregnant was a focus for this entity. Denise was getting impressions of something in a drawer, underneath something which was of great importance to the entity. But, we were not able to determine what the item of focus for the entity was.
During the homeowners interview, Denise again requested I take a picture of the male homeowner and once again there was a very large orb present in the picture. As I started to take another picture, I clearly saw an orb in motion on the wall between the end of the living room curtain and the upper doorframe to the Master Bedroom. This orb did a U-turn. I continued to monitor the digital viewer of my camera and saw a great deal of light activity and moving orbs. I was able to capture one light anomaly while this activity was in progress. This picture is included with this report.
Conclusion: I believe that there is an entity present, related to the male homeowner that has taken a very strong interest in an upcoming event about to take place in this household. We are speculating that this event has to do with a possible pregnancy and we will be very interested in the homeowners following up with news if she is indeed pregnant now and is just unaware of it. The entity does seem to watch over her during the night.

Trinity 2 Investigation - October 7, 2006
Five team members: Brandy, Jeanne, Amy, Denise and Debbie
And me : My first investigation.
We divided into two teams: I was with Brandy and Jeanne
We did the silent walk through starting in the boy’s bedroom and working our way to hall bathroom, guest room, living room, kitchen and then master bedroom and bathroom.
Nothing of interest was recorded in first half of the walk through --except the thermometer I was using recorded a good 3 degrees lower in the guest bedroom. (After discussion of this anomaly - it was decided that the lower temperature was due to the guest room’s location in the east which was not subjected to the heat of the afternoon sun.)
I did not have any usual feelings nor did I capture any unusual phenomenon my digital or 35 mm camera during the walk through.
At the group meeting, Denise related that she got an impression of a male entity, someone linked to the family, but not necessarily a family member - who was contacted in the bedroom. Several members had taken pictures of orbs in the master bedroom and living room/office area.
All six of us, regrouped in the bedroom to investigate further. Denise related getting a “Sh or Ch” sound from the entity, and felt that the entity was trying to tell her of something important that was located in the walk-in closet.
At one point, Debbie, Denise and I hear a loud ringing in our ears. We were in a straight line of each other. Around this time, I did record a 3 degree lower reading on the thermometer, which could have been due to additional lights being turned off a bit earlier.
The group using sound recorders, video recorders and digital and 35 mm camera’s did additional investigation - which I am sure will be covered in their reports.
Basically, on my first investigation, I did not uncover any unusual phenomenon, but did learn through observation and experience how a ghost hunt is operated and documented.

Others: 2 homeowners (later joined by homeowner’s mother), 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds.
I went with Shaun and Jeanne as a team. EMF on 0-3 scale unless otherwise noted.
Child’s room:
EMF by radio and alarm clock. Temp 74 degres.
Bathroom:
73 degrees

Room feels much cooler, chills on leg. Checked with homeowner and the room is in the eastern direction.

Denise: Got the name “Shaggy” – a dog came through to her on the way to the hunt. Felt called to th eMA bedroom, felt energy out in living room and MA bedroom area. However, not a real energy – intense, but cold.
(During discussion) Debbie: got an orb in picture when Denise told her to take images of the area. Brandy got an orb in the place where Denise pointed.
Debbie: temp was 83.4; going through house temp did drop going to MA bedroom. 3 orbs in workroom and couch. In the MA bedroom there was cold feeling. Found 1 cold breeze coming off the tile; specifically requested entity to pick a color swatch in MA bedroom; showed up by pink. Even when she arrived, Debbie felt pulled toward the back door.
Brandy: Felt drawn to narthex/foyer and living room areas. Strong orbs in work office and living room. During walk through, felt something on couch. Took picture, nothing. Asked it to manifest, next shot was an orb. Orbs showed up in area where others getting orbs: livingroom/office.
Decided on MA bedroom and living room areas.
MA bedroom: Male entity; temp in closet dropped to 72 degrees. Dropped 2 points while we were in there.

“Are you here to tell us that she is pregnant? That she might be pregnant?” Spike.
“Are you excited about this pregnancy?” Spike.
“Are you on Julian’s side of the family? Are you related to Julian?” Nothing.
“Are you related to Christi?” Nothing.
“Is the baby going to be a boy?” Nothing.
“Is the baby going to be a girl?” Nothing.
“Do you want the baby to be named James?” Nothing.

Denise: I am confused; I am not getting anything solid from him. I don’t want to say that the sheep means pregnancy, and that’s why he’s here.
Debbie: We just got a spike.
Denise: Is this why you’re here? Nothing.
Denise: Does the pregnancy have nothing to do with this? (Spike).
Denise: I don’t know, but I think I’m getting side tracked. With the whole “sh” sound, and we found the sheep….and her saying that she might want to be pregnant. … I don’t want to go out there and say that this is the way it is.
Deborah: Can you try once really hard to tell Denise why you are here?
Denise: All I am getting is syllables. It’s like it’s all so broken up. It’s not coming through…maybe it’s a foreign language?
Deborah: Are you Italian? Nothing.
Denise: Are you American born?
Brandy: Have we met you before? Spike.
Brandy: Are you the entity from the other house? A slight spike reported by Debbie, nothing very strong.
Brandy: Are you the shadow that Keith reported seeing?
Brandy: Are you associated with the SPIRITS of St. Petersburg?
Denise: He is standing behind me right now.
Denise: I just don’t think we’re going to get enough. It’s just too hard.
Deborah: Were you the one following Denise around making her feel cold?
Deborah: Are there others here besides you?
Denise: I just don’t think we are going to get enough. It’s not that he doesn’t want to, but it’s just not strong enough.
…Denise: Somehow it’s all interconnected. It’s all in the family. (Spike). This could be like an uncle or aunt, or not even a blood relative.
(Phone rings).
Denise: Let’s call [finish] it. I’m still getting the “sh” sound…
SPIRITS move off to look at closet. Denise went to homeowners to ask if they had anything in the female homeowner’s closet with the “sh” sound that could be of significance. Male homeowner came in and said “Well, there is my grandmother’s china….”
Homeowner interview:
Homeowner reports one strong incident when her mother was present. Her mother’s cell phone rang; it displayed no number and she was unable to return the call.
Unusual sounds: Knocking. Quoted from homeowner:
My mom was visiting and we heard repeated knocking (3 knocks in a row, numerous times in different locations of the house).
Expanded version:
The strangest event happened while my mom was visiting. It was approx. 4 p.m. on a weekday (I don’t remember the exact date). We heard three knocks in a row, faint, but they sounded like they were coming from the attic. We ignored them, and then 3 more knocks, this time the sounded like they were coming from the foyer. My son was in his bedroom, so I asked him why he was knocking. In the middle of my sentence we heard them again. 3 knocks, but they sounded like they were inside the wall between the office area and the garage. There was more knocking after that but the three of us tried to ignore it. Then my Mom’s cell phone rang and it showed “no number’ on the display. She let it go to voice mail and there was no message. I tried using the call back feature to find out who it was, but the phone would not dial since there was no number to call.
Other events: At night, I need to sleep with a night-light and I can’t sleep with my back to the wall because I feel like there is someone standing behind me. I also feel like I’m being followed if I go into the bathroom at night.
Spoke with homeowners about the following:
James (unknown). Had a brother named Joseph who died several years ago.
Sugarman (unknown).
“SH” sounding word – china? Unknown.
Solomon – possible link to Sullivan, a company that he was interviewing for.
Conclusion: I think that there was something going on within the home, but the entity was not strong enough to manifest in a definitive way.
A very unusual investigation…though it had good food. Not sure why this entity was like the other homeowner’s at Trinity – weak, or too weak to manifest. Possibly not a ghost but a spirit or a guardian figure.

The Spirits met for the investigation at 7pm. There were five members, plus a potential new member. We divided into two groups of three for the initial walk through. I was with Brandy and Shaun, the new member. Amy, Denise, and Debbie were in the second group. We got no significant EMF readings in any of the rooms. Our temperature readings fluctuated a few degrees from room to room. The guest bedroom was several degrees cooler than the rest of the house. When the two groups met to discuss areas of interest, Denise said that the master bedroom was the place to check. She had sensed a male energy there. When we went into the room, she felt pulled to the master bathroom and walk-in closet. She felt that there was something in the closet that the entity wanted to show us, but we couldn't figure out what it was. We gathered in the bedroom and Brandy set up the video camera and EMF detector, and Debbie and I set started our recorders. We did a question and answer session and watched the EMF for spikes. Denise said that she felt a cold spot on her back. She heard the name James, and Sullivan, and Georgetown. She said that he was someone that the family knows. She said that the energy was getting very weak, and was only getting out syllables. At that point, we left the room for a while, and left the video camera running. We resumed our questioning when we returned. We got some spikes in EMF to some of our questions, but it was very weak at this point. We decided to wrap up, and meet with the homeowners to hear about their experiences. In conclusion, I made several digital recordings of the question and answer sessions, and got no EVP's. I got one photo in the office area with an orb.
Trinity II

During the silent walk through I found that the only two rooms of interest were the dining room and the home-owners bedroom/closet/bathroom. My photos were turning up some orbs in the dining room and while in the Master Bedroom Deb was able to request which paint sample the entity preferred, and in the photo an orb showed up under its choice. Denise was constantly drawn to the closet/bathroom area.
During the main portion of our investigation Denise was feeling that there was significance with the “sh†sound. That there was a “sh†in the closet that was of importance. The most prominent item in the closet with the “sh†sound was a stuffed sheep. The homeowner informed us that she had purchased this item in hopes that she would be pregnant soon and would use it for the new nursery. Other prominent clues were: Georgetown and Sullivan
Unfortunately, the we could not tie anything directly with the home owners. The female home owner was not pregnant, and upon contacting me a few weeks later, she still wasn’t. The entity at the home may have been a weak drop in. Since our visit the homeowners have reported that all anomalies have ceased. (The rapping on the walls and the feeling of being followed)
In my opinion, there was definitely at least one entity present in this home, however it was most likely a drop in. Whoever it was did not seem to have an immediate message to pass along. Maybe next time? We were invited back anytime, and they’d cook for us again!

This was an image taken with a "trick" photo that was used to document Brandy's month of October. The "trick" image is the skull hovering in the corner. However, the entity may have had a trick of its own: Note the orb image next to Debbie.
35 mm cameras rarely capture orb images. However, as this was not only a "trick" camera used for party games, but also a disposable camera, its reliability could not be established over a single use.

The orb debate continues!
So many paranormal groups count orbs as proof of a haunting. Admittedly, the SPIRITS has captured orbs in the past and we post orb images to the site. There are two reasons for this: 1) Sometimes orbs do seem to appear when we request them to or 2) While we have captured other images on occassion, often we have nothing else other than orb shots. Admittedly, it is nice to have some visual images up with investigations.
Since the advent of interest in the paranormal world, new equipment and scruitiny has arisen regarding the orb phenomena. On the one hand are the believers, such as those who published "The Orb Project" reviewed by the SPIRITS in June 2008. Though skeptical of the book, there were images within that were rather remarkable. These included orbs photographs of orbs with unusual markings and bright orbs that created a vortex pattern. Yet, the book also described ways to summon orbs which included dancing, singing, and going outdoors, all of which can produce orbs naturally. Dust is easily stirred up by movement and humidity can be captured outside (as we well know in Florida).
Recently, I spoke with an investigator with several decades of experience in the field. She was skeptical of orbs until told by her mentor, a man with a variety of ghostly, crypto, and UFO knowledge, that orbs could manifest on command. I know her mentor and I have, personally, witnessed him 'summon an orb.' I met him after a ghost presentation where he told me of his theory. He invited me to try an experiment. After taking pictures of the room, he then held out his arm and summoned a ghost. The next picture showed an orb floating about 3 feet above his outstreached arm.
On investigations, this has also worked. Investigators and psi-sensitives have both requested orbs to appear, or pointed to areas of activity and had orbs manifest. This happened in several images located on the page. The image at the top, a trick camera, was used to take a picture of the team at the investigation. Just before the image was taken, investigators invited anyone present to manifest in the image. Sure enough, the 35 mm camera captured an orb image at the location.
A second image (above) was taken when a sensitive requested a photograph to be taken. She pointed to a spot between herself and another investigator and the following image caught an orb. The orb is light and small, not vibrant or bright, though household activity was very low in the home throughout the investigation.
However, in an experiment performed by one investigator the results were mixed. The homeowners were trying to decide on colors for a bedroom. Three patches of paint were up on the wall. The investigator requested the entity to pick its favorite shade. While an orb did appear, it is flat, light, and undefined. The investigator took this as a sign that the entity had, indeed, selected the color of its choice. Yet, an expert who does believe in orb phenomena looked at the image and dismissed it quickly as dust.
Also, an orb appeared when not requested, hovering over the middle of a doorway. It did not match any other orbs captured that night upon request. In the background a cat walks into the doorway (as noted by the glowing eyes). Could this simply be pet dander caught in a flash?
Skeptics point out that many sources can produce orbs. Dust, humidity, pet dander, bugs, pollen, light rain and other particles are easily captured and illuminated in the flash of a digital camera. As the lens is so close to the flash anything in front can be brightened and frozen in place by the rapidity its computerized parts. Many orbs are easily explained by natural circumstances.
Still, in recent investigations, the SPIRITS have noted orbs doing unusual behavior. In an investigation not on the website, three of six shots had unusual orb images. About 30 minutes before the images were taken, two pug dogs accompanying an investigator on the case stopped, turned in unison, focused and growled at one particular spot. The investigators quickly took pictures, though nothing was produced. Thirty minutes later, after conducting an experiment with EVPs, one SPIRITS member tried the area again. Though all six of her shots were taken one after the other and of the same location, and the investigator taking the images was observed by another experienced field operative, the results produced were strange. The first image had a large orb in front of a closed door. The second had the orb in the same area, but the orb was nearly a third of its original size. The third through sixth shots had no orb at all. Was this dust moving away from the camera? If so, how did it vanish? If not, then what kind of ghostly manifestation did these three images indicate? Could it have been related to the animals' activity before?
Another recent investigation, still under review, showed a bright orb that appeared to be self-illuminated peeking out from BEHIND a plant. The hallway the image was taken in was dimly lit; the brightest object in the photograph is the orb itself. The orb obscures the leaves of the plant behind it, but is, in turn, partially blocked by leaves in front of it, almost as if hiding in the plant. The image is rare and mimics an orb image taken by another SPIRITS member in November 2008 at a haunted hotel.
Despite these images, however, the majority of orb images shown to or produced on paranormal investigations are, most likely, explainable. Nearly all can be dismissed as simple marks in front of the lens of a digital camera. In fact, I, personally, continue to try to use a 35 mm camera as a back up for images as this camera is well tested in the field (14 years experience), has been cleaned and found to be in good shape, and gives a contrast to the constant exposure of digital imagery. While film is expensive, it does offer a solid alternative to mass produced digital camera images. This particular camera also captured the Haslam's mist image and the cemetery image -- two non-orb images that cannot be easily explained away.
As the field continues to evolve, perhaps the debate over orbs will be solved. Until then, we can only continue to review, critique and evaluate the results derived from testing and re-testing equipment, locations, and images.
