Teen room: I found there was no evidence on the video nor did I get a sense of a presence in that room.
Study: I captured small orbs later found to be dust on video.
Bathroom: No evidence on video.
Dining room: No evidence on video.
Kitchen: No evidence on video.
Utility room: No evidence on video.
Master bedroom: No evidence on video but I did feel a pressure in my chest immediately upon entering the room. It was difficult to breathe.
Master bathroom: No evidence on video. I felt as if there was someone standing behind me as I walked backward toward the tub to get a shot of the doorway.
Outside: No evidence on video.

Discussion:
Deborah: Orb in kitchen over stove (camera)
Nothing over 1.4 on EMF; trouble breathing since she came in, particularly on the side of the kitchen to the study side of the house.
Karen: EMF was nothing; nothing suspicious
Teen’s room made her uncomfortable.
Dani: Nothing on video other than 2 dust orbs.
Brandy: 1 orb in living room with Denise, Temp drop in MA bathroom, EMF spike in bathroom.
(Later noted a double orb image from the MA bathroom).
Denise: Felt ice cold since she’d gotten there. 2 energies here. A “Little House on the Prairie” dress. Woman, not young, died of a plague; disease of some sort. Attached to land; MA bathroom to land. She’s stronger than the second presnce, a male. They are in the MA bedroom to living room. They hold hands; she is very confused. They are two connected entities. No name, not talking. Confused. In and out of reality, not a vortex here, they are heare, then they are not.
They are doing something to show themselves – at that exact moment, Dani’s EMF meter, which was on, started to wail with an alarm. This lasted about 2 seconds; Dani and Deborah reported chills, and Deborah reported that the Trifield EMF meter also spiked.

Fever attached her; boils, rash
Don’t know how they feel about homeowners; she is empty; not a replay or a memory ghost. Just empthy. Almost as if she is still in her fevered state. So confused. She is part of an altered state of reality. Years: 1600’s or 1800’s. She keeps showing them water. Water is important.
We attempted an EVP at 8:25. Denise picked up the Salem witch trials. Water with Salem.
EVE completed at 8:30.
Still seeing water, having breathing issues.
Asked about moving things – Denise saw a little child laughing. Said that something else moves the objects; she was not able to determine what, but it was not the lady. She is very tired; he just continues to stand there.
We did go outside later to verify what readings we had. EMF lines run well outside the house.
Second walk through: Bedroom. Family, who waited outside, asked to come in. When they came in and we worked our way to our chosen location (MA bedroom and bath) the candles by the door fell over. I did not witness the candles falling; could be that we stepped hard enough on the floor to vibrate them loose. (We were all moving at once).
Homeowner showed us that candles were melted at the end and stuck in the holders.
Moved into the back room – now, a lot of activity A little 7 year old girl in an old outfit with light brown hair in the bathroom. She had a hard time breathing. EMF now showing up in shower (not there before) for Dani.
She loves the dogs.
Her name is Cat, Catherine.
Me: Do you knock things over? Her: Not me, it’s the dogs.
She hold the woman ghost’s hand. Is she a daughter, or are they unrelated and simply stuck together in the same location?
Any messages for homeowner? Keep the lights on. She doesn’t like the dark.
Denise got a flash that the girl may have been inadvertently buried before she was dead. During a plague, mistaken for dead.
Name: Sally (later Denise said to ignore it; she doesn’t trust that the name was related to the hunt).
Was she buried here? EMF and chills.
Church; she went to church when she was a child. Denise did try to encourage her to focus on her religion to see if that would help her cross over.
We worked our way out to the family to discuss our findings.
Family reports the following:
Unusual dreams (a deceased ex-husband)
Animals acting up – dog barks and follows things that are not there. Older blind dog often growls at things that aren’t there.
Peripheral vision manifestations: movements out of corner of eye, but when turn head, nothing there. (Initially thought it was a mouse or something; couldn’t figure out what it was).
Yes to drafts, apportation, visual confirmation of objects moving, and abnormal behavior of lights and doors. Abnormal behavior of electronics and computers.
Hears windows and doors slamming, teeth chattering. Water comes on by itself.
Health conditions: yes
Eye issues: yes.
Others: Chandelier moves back and forth. TV turns on and off. Radio changes channels, drawers open, cupboards open, lights go on.
Within the past few months phenomena has increased. When first moved into the house, there was very little activity. Water and lights would act up on occasion. Seeing things out of the corner of the eye that are not there; then the past 2 weeks, things took off. Things happen daily. Both when alone and when everyone is present. Friends and other family members present when phenomena happens. Candles were lit one morning when husband got u (and no one lit them). In daughter’s room TV came on and radio started changing channels. Came in from outside to find cabinets opening and lights on. Papers thrown all over kitchen Blinds came in with me present (4/6). Cigar smoke smell.

EMF spiked while the family talked. Denise opened her bag to find a can of sausages in there. She had no placed them there, and they had apparently gotten into the bag between the time she unpacked her equipment until the time that the family came in and we did the interview.
Observations: The household has experienced a few changes lately. Elder daughter moved in, as did the young man; elder daughter moving out to Ga. the next day. Younger daughter turned 13. Mother diagnosed with breathing issues and on oxygen. With all of this activity, I am curious to know if some of the activity is caused by a human agent. The family has a lot of energy to it and, in my opinion, their energy could be used by entities to crate the PK activity, or else it’s a residue of their energy that is creating these bursts of movement. Since things were relatively calm for the past year, only starting to act up in the past 2 weeks, I’d estimate that it’s something related to recent events.
The ghosts were relatively harmless. The woman was dazed and confused, making her no real threat. The male presence was, in my opinion, probably a spirit of a relative who crossed over that remained in the liminal state with her, waiting for the woman to cross over.
The little girl was the most active and most coherent of the group. She also was no threat.
I hope that the family is able to get some rest. We did, at their request, try to work with the entities to get them to cross to the other side. Denise did encourage them to go to Jesus (since Christianity was their primary religion).
My suggestion is that the family keeps a log of what is going on in the household. I think that things may eventually settle down as various current events find solution. My hunch is that the primary cause of motion of objects is a human agent, possibly the youngest daughter (potential PK activity).
4-19-06 -- addendum to Brandy's report
I recorded the bedrooms of the house and left the camera running while we were gone walking through the house.
One part of the video shows a light streak opening on the back wall. Denise thought it was when she opened the back door to go outside -- but that happens a good 7 minutes before this image. I thought it might be when we were in the back room taking pictures (other side of the house). Several camera flashes showed up as light streak flashes on the back wall. (This is hard to describe!)
When I reviewed the tape, I realized that all of us were in the back room taking pictures -- well away from the camera. The back door has a bell sound when it opens. We were, as far as I know, the only ones in the house. So, I don't think anyone opened the back door. It's not a camera flash because it is a different shade of color and it lasts too long. It is really like someone opened a door somewhere in the house, looked out, then closed it -- and what I caught was the reflection of the door opening. I cannot explain it away. The only other thought I have is that it is the homeowners opening up the front door, but the image isn't replicated, there is no chime sound, and I don't know how the light could go a full 90 degrees around a corner to create the image.

Equipment Used: Notebook, Minolta Dimage X Digital Camera, Tri-Field EMF meter (Set on 0-3 scale)
We opened the investigation at the dining room table, EMF registered 1.0-1.2. I noted that I was feeling a pressure in my chest and having a little difficulty breathing. (Initially, I attributed this sensation to pregnancy hormones.)
During the silent walk through with Brandy, Denise, Dani and Karen, we went to the Teen bedroom first. EMF registered 1.0-1.5, with the 1.5 reading near the closet. Again, I noted that I was having a hard time breathing and feeling pressure on my chest, which continued through the rest of the house.
In the hallway, the EMF was 1.4 and in the study it registered 1.2-1.4. The EMF in the bathroom nearest the Teen bedroom ranged from 1.0 to 1.4. The EMF in the front door, living room and dining room area registered 1.0-1.4
The kitchen registered EMF of 1.4, with a small spike to 1.6 near a pile of clothing next to the washer and dryer. It did not appear to be connected to anything electrical. Took some digital photos and had what appears to be a faint orb near the upper kitchen cabinets.
The EMF was .8-1.0 in the Master Bedroom, but spiked in the bathroom to 2.0 in the shower area.
While attempting to capture EVP during the team’s communication with Cricket, the EMF registered a range of .8 - 1.6.
The EMF reading in the yard around the home was .8, with a spike to 1.4 near the back stairs and the corner of the house outside the Master bathroom.
While walking back into the home, some candles in a candleholder on a table near the front door fell after we passed. This may be attributed to our movement, but the family (who was sitting in the living room) stated that the candles had been secured with wax.
Returning to the Master bedroom, EMF readings were .8-1.0, except in the Master bathroom, where they spiked to 3.0 (they remained at 3.0 when the meter was switched to the 0-100 scale.) While discussing the spirit of a small female child, I had difficulty breathing in the Master bathroom and smelled the faintest odor of something burning.
While walking out of the Master Bedroom with another investigator, Karen, I stated that perhaps the child we were discussing was buried under the home, at which point her EMF meter produced a successive series of beeps and I got chills and goosebumps on my arms, legs and face and felt tears well up in my eyes. We called the rest of the team back to the Master bedroom and attempted EVP communication with this young spirit. The EMF meter hovered around .8-.9 during this time, with spikes up to 1.2 noted when we asked if “she has a message†and “if the female that is with you can take you to the light?â€
While talking with the homeowners after we concluded our investigation, my EMF meter began beeping after the male homeowner described his Hymn Book being moved and opened up to Hymn 236, “Creator Spirit by Whose Aid.â€
Based on the physical sensations I experienced and the information given by the homeowners, I would concur that there does appear to be some significant paranormal activity occurring at this residence.

This was a hunt filled with a lot of physical sensations. More than I have felt in a very long time. Once entering the home I became chilled and pretty much stayed that way for the entire evening. There was an elderly man and elderly woman standing in the living room watching us prepare our equipment for the investigation. They were wearing what I called “Little House on the Prairie” clothing. The woman appeared extremely confused as if she had Alzheimer's, but the man appeared to be fully aware of what was going on around them. Although, he refused to acknowledge our earthly world. The man was watching over the woman as if he was protecting and helping her deal with what was going on. The best way to explain it was that the man probably had crossed over and returned to help the woman cross or at least comfort her somehow. It appeared to be a loving situation between them.
As we investigated the home I was drawn to the master bedroom bath. It felt like under the bathroom, deep in the ground was a burial mound. I then sensed a small female child. Speaking with her she stated she was very ill and buried alive by accident. This is what caused her death. She was aware of the elderly woman and her confusion issues. The child refused to move on because she also wanted to stay with the woman. She enjoys playing with the homeowners dogs. The little girl was very warm and loving.
I was able to determine that the elderly woman died of some type of plague which was going around. She had breathing problems and was seriously ill with fever. She moves about the house opening cabinets, drawers and moving things around. She also kept showing me that water was so significant with her. I kept hearing the word “Water” over and over again. After speaking with the homeowners later it was determined that one of the most significant problems they were having dealt with their water turning on and off. This was consistent with what I was picking up.
The child entity told me about going to church with her mother. She would talk about Jesus and was learning about him. I attempted to use this information to assist her in taking the elderly female and crossing over to Christ. The elderly man, still remaining steadfast at the woman's side, never attempted to communicate with us, therefor I did not bother him during the investigation.
I do believe that there are two strong spirits in this complainants home. The elderly woman who pops in and out of reality (mostly out) and is very active in messing with their stuff. The child, whom plays with the animals and the elderly man who is attempting to help them to the other side. I do not feel that there is anything in or around this home that is negative or evil. Therefor there is nothing to be concerned or frightened about.
Further investigation or continuous use of equipment may help retrieve evidence to confirm my findings. No further action was needed at this time.
Paranormal Investigation

Investigation began 7:25 pm. Initial walkthrough started in the teen bedroom.
Temperature 77 degrees and stable. EMF stable. Orb caught on digital camera. Nothing on audio. Slight sense of unease at the time same time picture was taken which contained the orb.
Study was next. Temperature 77 degrees, stable. EMF stable. Nothing on digital camera or audio.
Living room/dining area. Initial walkthrough, temperature 77 degrees, stable. EMF stable. Nothing on digital camera or audio.
Laundry room. 77 degrees, stable. EMF spike due to refrigerator. Nothing on digital camera or audio.
Master bedroom. Initial walkthrough 77 degrees, stable. EMF stable. Slight temperature drop to 73 degrees in master bath.
After initial walkthrough was finished, sensitive reported the presence of two entities. A man and a woman. The woman’s energy being more active, the man there due to her. Reported they had died from a plague type disease, associated with water. Female entity confused. During this time at approximately 8:20 pm there was an EMF spike with two meters. Team members reported chills and a feeling of cold. Unsure as to whether entities were from the 1600’s or 1800’s. When the entities were asked if they moved objects in the house, sensitive was given the impression of a small child laughing.
After discussion, team walked the yard outside. Nothing on digital camera, nothing on audio. Some EMF spikes.
On our way back inside, candles fell on the table in the entrance some question as to whether they were stable or caused by our movement.
Team went back to the master bath/bedroom. EMF spike in master bath that was not there during initial walkthrough. Sensitive reported the presence of the small child reported before. A small girl approximately 7 years old who seemed to be attached to the family dogs. Objects would be knocked over or moved as she played with the dogs. Team members reported difficulty breathing. Sensitive reported an image of the child in her grave as if she had been buried alive.
Upon leaving the master bedroom, two EMF meters spiked which did not happen during the initial walkthrough. Team members reported chills.
Team attempted to contact the girl through the sensitive to see if it was possible that she move on.
Team reported to family the presence of the three entities, that they were not evil and meant no harm. The entities were not attached to the family but the land. Female entity attracted to water, family decided to leave a glass of water out for her. The child requested that the lights be left on. Family stated they would leave a night light on for her.
Upon packing up equipment a can of Vienna sausages was found in one of our bags. Unable to verify how this happened as bags were left unattended.
Investigation ended.

Each SPIRITS investigation brings results, but these results always seem to bring new questions. For this investigation, we explore the viability and usefulness of video cameras. Though they help to accurately record events of an investigation in a real-time fashion, enigmatic images can also turn up that raise more questions than they solve.
The SPIRITS were contacted through a desperate phone call from the homeowners. They reported psychokinetic activity, shadow figures, running water, and cabinets that opened by themselves. The phenomena started months before but had increased in the weeks leading up to the investigation. The activity was attributed to a recent death in the family, and the family itself was undergoing transition as members moved in and out of the area.
One member brought a video camera and set it in one of the rooms to record. The video camera was untouched and left to record in this room throughout the investigation.
Upon review, part of the video showed a reflection seemingly created by an opening door. A shadow stretched across the light reflection, and then retreated; the image disappeared. What was this image? No strong conclusion emerged. Some SPIRITS members felt that the phenomena could be naturally produced, others disagreed. The possibilities that we examined:
SPIRITS of St. Petersburg members opening the doors:
One SPIRITS member opened the back door of the house to look for power boxes or other phenomena that might create false EMF readings. She believed that the image was produced when she opened the door.
The counter-argument is that the SPIRITS members’ voices can be heard on the video as they moved about at the other end of the house. Discussion is heard about opening the door to go outside 7 minutes before the image appeared.
Family members: The family members waited outside the home while the SPIRITS investigated. All doors to the outside had chimes attached to them as part of a security system and no chimes were recorded on the soundtrack.
Camera flashes: Though the camera did pick up camera flashes it did not pick up any activity from the SPIRITS’ photographs that were out of the area. Camera flashes recorded on the tape were short in duration. This image lasted considerably longer. Camera flashes produced a whiter color than this mysterious image.
Awkward angle: The way the light from the back door, or from any external doors, would have to move to produce this image is very odd.
Each member had a personal conclusion about the image and since this particular investigation no similar images have been produced. However, only when the natural phenomena are ruled out can something be deemed “supernatural.” However, it does go to show that one of the most valuable tools in paranormal investigation remains the inquisitive skeptical mind.
