Other occurrences: Susan and Brandy both experienced battery drains. Batteries also came back up. Cameraman experienced a battery drain; possibly due to older battery or malfunction of camera. Cause unknown if related to Brandy and Susan's experience.

Investigating the area, discovered a bathroom beneath both warm spots. However, the warm spots were recorded as moving around the landing between stairways. Reason: unknown. Later, Socrates informed the group that he often saw lights in the stairwell, even when the lights were off. Ellen reported that upon coming to the Theater herself, she tried to go up to the balcony. Stopped a few steps shy of where the warm spot was. Didn't know why, but could not go past that spot.

Other occurrences: EMF and Temp fluctuations recorded; several members caught orb images in the area. Reviewing digital imagery, Brandy has one shot of "cluster" orbs, approximately four orbs that cross the stage, as well as a second shot showing a large orb appearing under the EMF meter. The images only seemed to happen when the piano was being played. Several members also smelled "perfume" and food. The audience was polled, no one had food, none wore perfume. Socrates later said that it was an aroma not uncommon to the stage which he attributes to the potential entities. Scott also described that he sensed two female presences, slender, one blonde, one brunette, both dancers, who danced across the stage to the piano. Same words that Karen used during our first trip to Royalty Theater. Susan sensed one female presence, thought a secondary may have been her father, who was a drummer. The stage was set up for a Christian rock band.

Other occurrences: Several members smelled a metallic odor, possibly from machinery. However, I specifically remember smelling a lily fragrance, confirmed by Scott. There was also a possible third smell: a decomposing stench. Shelley and Susan both felt a throat tightening sensation in the balcony area. Shelley was hesitant to go into the office/projection area. Outside the office door, leading to the balcony, Susan sensed a "swirling energy"her feet were cold to touch.

Location: By the piano; shortly after the stage incidents and orb images captured on stage.
Other occurrences: Recorded the piano playing. Though it shouldn't have, the recorded showed it was "full"Not a full EVP since questions were not asked. Noise levels made EVP impossible.
Any cold/hot spots or sensations? Yes; several. Shelley and Susan sensed unusual energy in the basement, possibly related to the upstairs. The stairwell on both sides leading to the balcony had the moving hot spot. Stairwell to the right had more energy and activity. Cold spots sensed on stage. Susan and Shelley sensed a pressure in the room beneath the attic. Susan felt pushed down on the head, sharp pain in her back. Shelley felt pulled down, particularly around the legs. Brandy and Jeff climbed into the attic. Small EMF reading taken by Ellen, but unknown for the cause. No odd sensations, though Brandy's Polaroid camera's flash would not go off in the attic. It went off for all other shots. Saw the funky posters. I did sweat A LOT.
Any unusual occurrences? Aromas on stage and near the projection booth, particularly in the hallway behind it. Scott sensed that there were two female entities, one brunette and one blonde, who "danced" across the stage. Seems strange; Karen W. used the same words during our first investigation to Royalty. Batteries on microphone pack (from camera crew) died at 6:30, in the theater, in front of the stage. Could be due to use.
Other Notes:
Liz, Shelley's guest, commented that when she danced at Royalty, she had a great fear of the dressing rooms. She would not go into them alone.
Socrates also had several images from people who had captured ghostly presences in photographs and sent them in to him. They included orbs, mists, fogs, and bands of energy. Some general information was leaked to the team (death in balcony), but specifics were not applied, and further information was stopped. I do not think it tainted observations by the team. Learned that the man who was killed in the balcony was first beaten, left, and the killers returned later to finish the job.
Observations & Conclusions:
Was very pleased with the second trip to Royalty. The stage seems to be the hotbed of activity. A variety of sensations. Attic trip was worth it, as usual. Jeff seemed enchanted with the old posters. Socrates revealed info on the stairways not known until now.
I believe the Royalty does house at least one entity, if not more. (See Royalty Theater, the first investigation). I think there must be a dancing entity, possibly the "Angelica" or "Angelique" that Socrates, himself a dancer, refers to. The aromas still intrigue me. The "rot" and "metallic" smells upstairs, as well as the "food" smell on stage were new to me and did not happen during the prior investigation. The stairwell was also new. Susan, walking barefoot, was able to sense the heat.
Socrates has also invested a lot of time and energy enhancing the energy of the theater to be positive. He had several prayer sessions while the SPIRITS were there, with camera crew, with the audience. Some of the energy may be imbued by his own belief, which he freely shares with others.

EMF, aroma of perfume and food, cold spots all detected on this part of the stage. What is interesting is that the members of the SPIRITS were pointing to where they sensed activity when I snapped this shot. If you notice, there is a cluster of orbs across the curtain. This is the only orb cluster of 24 images, three with potential orbs and manifestations taken with my digital camera.

I think there is definitely something moving in this building. We were able to follow a moving hot/energy spot on the stage until it went too high. Could this be the angel? The entities seemed drawn to the music on stage and by the piano. These hot-spots seem to go away as we all collected around them.
There is good energy climbing everywhere in this building. There was a negative force up in the
balcony, but it quickly left.

(Below) This beautiful orb came from Amy R. and was taken during our presentation Aug. 16. Amy caught the orb on 35 mm film. This is in the balcony area where other orbs and at least one presence has been sensed. Perhaps they came to listen to what we had to say about them?
The Royalty Theater plays host to a many a gathering, from musicians to dancers, operas to ballet. However, within the rows of folding seats there is a spectral presence, for the theater has angels in its audience.
The Royalty's owner, Socrates Charos, bought the building in 1995 after a vivid dream led him to the theater and began to restore it. That is when the phenomena began. Lights started flashing at odd times, the alarm system was repeatedly at odd hours in the night, and unexplained orbs and mists manifested in photographs.
Charos keeps a log of images that have been taking in the theater. Photographs sent in from tourists and locals are mounted on a board for display. He also has several video clips of manifestations.
One of his favorite images was taken the night of Dec. 31, 1999. It reveals a most surprising image: a human shaped blue-white aura towering inside the theater. Charos believes that was the first captured manifestation of the archangel Michael inside the building.
When the SPIRITS of St. Petersburg, a local paranormal investigation group, inquired into an investigation, Charos was happy to oblige. To date, the group has performed two full investigations of the area, with a third scheduled in February 2004. This investigation will be aired on the radio station, WTAN 1340 a.m.
The first investigation (December, 2001): Several orb images were captured on camera, including a large spiked milky white orb photographed slightly off of center stage.
Charos has had the photograph examined by several groups. He reports that the conclusion is that it bears the marks of an "angelos orb." These orbs are created as manifestations of higher level angelic beings, such as archangels.
Additional phenomena includes electromagnetic energies which surged across the stage. The team's psi-sensitive described a sensation of an auburn-haired woman exuberantly dancing about throughout the investigation.
An unexplained aroma of Easter lilies also wafted through the upstairs balcony, perhaps reminiscent of the establishment's time as a church.
The second investigation (July 2002): With the exception of one member, the SPIRITS investigation team consisted of entirely new individuals, many of whom had never been to the Royalty before.
The second search revealed different areas of activity in the stairwells leading to the balcony. Socrates revealed that, indeed, both stairwells had manifested phenomena in the past; several reported feeling a protective presence watching them ascend to the second floor.
Unique aromas drifted from the projection room and upstairs offices. One team member described the smell as burnt toast, another as machine oil.
There was more action recorded on stage. Orb images appeared in perfect synchronicity with electromagnetic surges detected by the SPIRITS equipment. A new team sensitive repeated, nearly word-for-word, the same sensations experienced by the first team in December 2001: There was someone dancing across the stage as we investigated, and mention was made of an auburn haired woman.
Since this time, many have become familiar with this enigmatic auburn-haired dancer. Charos has named her "Angelina" because of her protective and peaceful presence. She is most active during musical concerts.
Other angel-related phenomena to present:
Phenomena continues to the present, with several recent events having taken place this fall. Shortly after midnight on October 31, 2003, Charos and his wife were called to the theater by their security company. Something had triggered the alarm and strange flashes of light could be seen inside the theater. Upon arriving, both had a strange visionary experience. They witnessed an angelic aura fighting with a dark energy outside the front lobby of the theater.
New smells eminate from the stage: gardenia, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate are among the scents made manifest. Charos continues to associate this with the presence of archangel Michael.
Charos has opened the theater to free daily healing sessions. Anyone may attend the theater between the hours of 12 - 2 and use the time to pray, meditate, or read scripture. Those who have experienced healings include the restoration of injured backs, legs and necks and the cessation of pain.
