The premise: Homeowners offered the SPIRITS a three-fold investigation into an unknown property -- they recently bought a house. The SPIRITS came before and during construction to see if there were any changes to the house. The SPIRITS will follow up with a post-construction investigation as well. Are there any spirits there? Will the construction project bring them forth?

Temperature Readings :
Room 1 - 71 degrees
Room 2 - 70 degrees
Room 3 - 69 degrees
Bathroom - 67 degrees
Kitchen – 70 degrees
Room 4 – 72 degrees
I did not have any unexplained phenomenon on digital recorder or digital camera. I did have a feeling impression of a beloved pet being buried in the front garden with small fountain.

Orangewood Project – Part 1 of 3
Debbie’s Report
Members attending: Brandy, Mary, Evie, Shaun and myself. 3-new potential members also in attendance: Cher, Eileen and Lisa, for a total of 8-investigators.
Weather: severe storms the evening prior to the investigation. Atmosphere is cool and heavy and the moon is full.
Equipment used for this investigation: Fujitsu Lifebook with WavePro software, external mic and digital camera with image stabilization.
The SPIRITS of St. Petersburg have been offered a very unique opportunity to investigate a Dunedin home that has recently been purchased. This invitation grants us the ability to investigate and take numerous readings and statistics on a property before, during and after restoration work. The new homeowners are past clients of the SPIRITS.
Part I
The SPIRITS team assembled at 7:00 p.m. to begin their investigation. The members split into 2-teams of 4 each. My team began in the furthest room of this small home we titled Room 1. Boxes were being stored in this one room due to the move. Temperature held steady in the low 70s and EMF indicator only signaled on the far east wall that was closest to the street. Further investigation reveled the cause of the EMF flux to be power lines just outside this wall. The room felt void of any energy and only a couple of orbs, mainly dust orbs, were captured on film.
Each of the next two rooms produced the same effects, as did the kitchen-dining area of the home. No real indicators of paranormal activity were determined and the overall energy of the home was very low.
My team switched to the outside of the property and investigated with due diligence. Again, no evidence of paranormal activity, let along simple place memory, was determined. After meeting up with Brandy and her team, I had the chance to work with the other two potential members, Eileen and Lisa during the remainder of their outside investigation.
During the reporting phase I relayed that I had felt only one small “twinge” while standing with my back to the kitchen sink where I snapped a photo down the length of the room capturing an orb on the blinds. This is most likely a dust orb. Most all members reported pretty much the same. We did attempt EVP work in Room 1 and Room 3 but no EVPs were recorded.
Summation: All in all, this home had very little if any residual energy connected to the building or the land. The new homeowners stated that the previous owner had purchased this house in 1989 to be used as a dwelling for her elderly mother and then used as a rental property. This may be one of the reasons that this dwelling held so little energy.

Arrived 1/2 hour early, which was good because I mildly directionally disorientated due to the drizzly weather and under-lit streets. This was my first professionally organized "ghost hunt" and it was nice to engage in small-talk with fellow paranormal researchers and the home-owner, who was very pleasant. The 7 researchers and I started the investigation around 7:30 PM and immediately my 35 mm camera decided not to work. I then used my Lumix digital camera and you can see the results from the attached photos. Unfortunately, one hour into the investigation, my digital camera joined my 35 mm camera and, it too, decided to stop working. I was really disappointed BUT I was able to use my audio/video for the rest of the investigation plus I took some shots without flash but I was not happy with the results. I did capture a really interesting orb in my very first photo and a few more orbs throughout the investigation in and out of the house. I was asked to hold the temperature guage and there was no major temperature changes. I had no noticeable sensitivities, emotions or feelings except for becoming dizzy about 2 hours into the investigation. I believe it was due to the weather, the dust from construction and mild anxiety (it being my first time being involved in a activity as this). I do not believe this house is haunted and even though there were quite a few orbs in the pictures I do not think there is anything to worry about. Overall, everything and everyone was quite pleasant and it was a lot of fun for me to be there.

Homeowners: The house was bought in 1989 for the homeowner's mother. After that, she used it as a rental property. She lived in it for 1- 2 years.
Conclusion: Nothing present. No real sense of anything. House being a rental may be a problem....no one attached to the home.
Recheck: We went back into Room 1 (to replicate orbs by scarecrow), room 3. We did do EVPs, and I did get orbs in the fan area.
Homeowners: Knew that the owner of the house next door died of a massive heart attack at the age of 37.

Eileen's report:
I was in charge of the EMF and also took photos with a disposable camera.
In Room One (the child's bedroom), the EMF was stable at 20 throughout. In Room Two, it was stable at 15. In Room Three (the homeowner's bedroom), it was stable at 11. I got a reading of eight in the bathroom, between five and 10 in the Kitchen, and 10 in both the laundry and storage rooms which were outside the house.
Out of 15 photos, I got only one that seemed interesting. There is a very good orb near the ceiling fan in Room Three. Brandy is the only person present in that particular photo. I cannot acertain whether the orb is a result of dust, a reflection or spirit.
I did not feel the presence of any spirits in the house or on the grounds outside. I felt it was a pretty "clean'' house, and did not get a creepy feeling at the location.

Homeowner got a very fast turn around for the construction at the house. She suggested we get out there ASAP for the construction phase. One wall had been taken down and another wall started (frame put up).
I was late getting there (got lost). The others started before me. When I arrived, I brought my CO detector, temp reader, EMF meter and the Polaroid.
EMF: Room 1: 15 - 20. Evie reported a spike when she first got there. As i stood with my meter, the energy in the room went up. It was a slow and steady increase,likely due to EM produced by the wires directly outside the house. The spot also resided between two plugs. Asked for a reaction from anyone present; no response.
Polaroid taken in the area. Camera jammed then produced two images at once (it had been dropped). Camera still worked, but Polaroids proved to be null.
Evie rechecked her meter; it went up when mine did.
EMF for Room 2: 10
EMF for Room 3/Kitchen: 8 - 10
EMF for Room 4: 7
Temp through house: 58 degrees consistently.
EMF lower (fewer electronics on). Debbie noted dust orbs.

Orangewood Project – Part 2
Debbie’s Report
Arrived at the location at noon with Mary and Evie on a clear cool day to recheck the location after some construction had begun. Brandy arrived a short time later but we began our investigation. A total of 4-investigators were present.
As expected, many dust orbs were captured and film and these photographs are saved to my “Dust Orbs†files for future reference and comparison.
No EVPs were recorded. No energies felt. Only one area of the house resulted in false-positive EMF readings.

This is a followup from a previous hunt where the owners had bought a house and wanted an investigation before and after some construction had taken place in the new residence.
The investigators Shaun, Mary, Evie, Debbie & Brandy and 2 newbys met at 7:00 pm at the house on Friday, Feb 2. The homeowners were present along with one child. The home was two bedroom, 1 bath with a large storage area across the carport. No furniture had been moved in other than the appliances but there were boxes from the previous home in the front bedroom.
Mary, Brandy Debbie and Shaun picked up some orbs. I took 26 pictures in and around the house and the couple of orbs that showed up for me was most probably dust. I did get an exciting picture out back of the house, it was taken in the dark and all you could see was "two red eyes" shining back at you. Ohoooooooooooo! Unfortunately, when we put it up on the computer, it was the tail lights of the car across the street. None of us felt like there was anything unusual present and we got no significant meter readings.
Sunday we met at the house in day light. Some construction had been done, such as framing out a room and tearing down a wall. We still didn't get any significant orbs but we did get a high EMF reading in the front of the house. We attributed that to the power lines running along the street and the electric wiring in the wall.
The homeowners are such nice people and I think they would be really comforted to know there were spirits in their house to watch over them.
We plan to do another investigation when all the move and construction is complete.
