Ghosts usually follow a standard equation when it comes to haunting. Some are attached to locations, others to objects. A few, however, choose to drop into the homes that they haunt. The only reason for the visit appears to be the people who inhabit the area. So, what, then, is the human equation of paranormal manifestation?
Some people constitute a very unique form of energy. While they possess mild psychic abilities, they also act as batteries for ghosts. It is this energy that attracts “drop in” entities and creates a most unusual form of haunting. These are often some of the most challenging ghosts for investigators, as there is little verifiable background information available.
This was the case with the home in Old Northeast. The homeowners had two entities residing with them, one related to the female homeowner and one completely foreign to them.
The homeowners had noted that a radio that was unplugged turned itself on when no one was near it. Unusual sounds had been heard, such as rustling and footsteps. Their dog continued to growl at something unseen and often bit at the air. Keys, glasses and other small items disappeared from the area, and their closet door had opened on its own . All of these were determined to be the product of the mischievous behavior of the “drop in” entity.
This was a rare investigation where three of the SPIRITS strongest sensitives, along with two newer sensitive members, came together. Four members “felt” the ghost of a young man who was in his 20s, had a name that started with a “G”, and was very mischievous. He was stand-offish with the SPIRITS present. However, he did generate enough of a manifestation to appear as an orb, a cold spot, and several EMF spikes in the vicinity of the master bedroom.
He had no real relation to the family present, but loved getting a rise out of them whenever he acted up. He often stayed out in the hallway but liked to poke around in the main living quarters. He had no real answers for the SPIRITS sensitives but wasn’t interested in listening to the team, either.
Additionally, there was an older woman who continued to “check on her children”. She had breathing problems and most associated her with a strong pressure to the chest. She was possibly the mother or grandmother of the woman homeowner, who was also very ill at the time of the investigation.
Overall, the SPIRITS felt that the female homeowner was a battery who attracted entities. She reported phenomena before moving into the current home that was not related to the these paranormal events. Since the male entity enjoyed her reactions to his antics, we advised her to tell the him to leave her alone, drink fewer stimulants, and mind her health.
The randomness of ghosts is already a complicated matter to work with. Added to this are entities that cannot be traced through any standard protocols other than what they produce for sensitives and equipment. It is another issue that ghost investigators face as we continue to work towards academic acceptance according to mainstream society.

Others: male and female homeowners, mother dog, 5 puppies.
Because of the size of the home we opted to break into two groups of three. One group remained still while the other investigated, and visa versa. Team 2 was Cathy, Denise, Brandy, Team 1 was Scott, Chris and Susan.
This also is the shortest SPIRITS investigation on record at one hour and 20 minutes.
Living room:
Scott did a test with his carbon monoxide detector and got a reading of 270, which is remarkably high.
EMF in the living room was 3.5 4.0. It was too high for me to get an accurate reading on the 0 3 scale. For this investigation I worked with the 0 100 scale.
Temperature was 88.5 degrees.
Kitchen: 95 degrees, with EMF of 3.5-4.0 (4.0 was by the stove).
Crossing from the bedroom into the livingroom, I did smell the faint odor of cigarette smoke. Homeowners do smoke, and it was possible that this was a smell that came in from outside. Team 1 went outside to get some air and the door was briefly open.
Bedroom: 90.5 degrees, with an EMF of 3.5 4.0.
We noted that the dog was standing at the door of the bedroom. She would not go in. After we went in, she still refused, even though the homeowner noticed that there was a piece of kibble on the floor that she (the dog) really wanted.
For a moment while I was alone in the room and trying to get a temperature, I felt a temperature drop of 88 degrees from 90 91 degrees). This area was right above the homeowner's bed board, near the wall, and was very fleeting. As soon as I felt it, and as I tried to get a reading of it, it was already gone.
As the group reassembled, I took a picture from the living room into the bedroom. I captured an orb on the first shot inside the bedroom behind Denise. I took a series of 7 more photos and got no more orbs. I also had no other orb images from the rest of the investigation.
Discussion:
Denise: When we first came up she sensed a male presence in the whole place, not just in the apartment. He was in his 20's, 5 foot 11 inches with long blonde hair. He thought it was funny that he scared people and wants people to feel scared. He doesn't want to come into the apartment while we are there. He is standoffish towards the group as he, himself, is scared. She got the name "Gary" and sensed he messes with people's keys.
Susan: She felt a young male presence with a "G" name. He is confined to the stairway and hallway. He does like to "stick his nose in" to the apartments. He blocks keys from unlocking. She got a Susie, a female entity with labored breathing or chocking.
Scott: Got the name George, Jordon (or some "Jah" name). He was elf-life, playful, impish or goblin like. He was very immature. He was sensed in the corner of the bedroom near the headboard. The closet door, when opened, gave off a huge rush of cold in the closet. He felt a stifling, suffocating, strangled feeling in the closet and had an EMF of 7. He noted the kitchen also had a high EMF.
Cathy: Walking up the stairs she sensed the residue of a male presence, younger, long hair. He was predominant in the back of the stairways. In the kitchen area she had a sense of residual energy, a transience. She was an older female who had something very wrong wither chest. She felt smothered, with a chronic build up of fluids. She heard someone whisper in her ear, a soft voice, possibly female.
Chris: In the living room corner (which butts up against the bedroom closet and is actually the back of the closet), he sensed a 55 65 year old woman. She was out of breath, and something was wrong with her lungs. She was "checking on children upstairs"children also sick. She was tired of going up and down stairs.
Denise asked him "Can you tell if she's black or white?" Chris: she's darker complexioned, but not black. She had dark hairmaybe Hispanic.
Brandy: Bedroom energy experience (in same area where Scott got his spike of EMF and sensitives reported a presence), and reported her orb.
Areas for recheck: stairwell, bedroom
Scott: Bedroom: felt suddenly tired. Tasted pecan ice cream in his outh.
8:00 EBP attempted, but likely nullified due to outside noises.
Outside: 87.5 degrees, EMF 3.
Susan: energy of a baby girl in a room, Dawn or Don. Got the name Mark Gordon, brother, 27 years old, stomach cramps.
Carbon monoxide tested again: 274 on the scale.
(Homeowners phoned after the investigation to tell us that they had the fire department out and they got a "0" reading on their scale for CO).

Unusual dreams: For the last week dreams have been strange.
Animals acting up "My dog has been very aware of a presence in the apartment. She will wake up out of a dead sleep and the hair on her neck is up. She growls and barks and agitated. This is very unusual for her. She was on our bed and suddenly started to bark at the ceiling in the corner to the right if facing the bed. (Also near where Scott and I had readings/cold spot, and sensitives felt the male presence).
Apportation of keys, glasses, remote, etc.
Doors opening (closet door).
Reports: rustling sounds, voices, footsteps, doors/windows slamming.
Other: When we were cleaning the a/c unit, the radio that was not plugged in and turned off came on by itself. Later, we removed batteries (upon Brandy's suggestion) and the radio still came on by itself. The TV was constantly changing channels. Batteries in one device was hot, one cold.
From prior home: heard sounds, voices, noises. It was steady in May/June of 2003. We moved into this apartment in May 2005. About 1-2 weeks ago we started hearing things again. Then the incident with the radio happened. That is the night I called Brandy. Since then, the dog has been acting crazy, barking at the ceiling, barking at the couch. The TV has been weird, going on and off and changing channels. Things will fall of the table, the TV, the bookshelf, for no reason.
One weekend they went out to the porch because they heard something inside someone or something fell on the roof and ran across it. They looked for person and none could be found.
In the old apartment, an upstairs neighbor committed suicide before we moved in. He was young, with black or born hair, longish, curly, about 5 foot 9 inches to 5 foot 11 inches. The person who lived beside us told me.
Discussion: Homeowner (female) has a history of sensitivity and has had a life threatening medical condition. She also reacts to the entity, which it likes. He loves getting a rise out of her (which I advised her over the phone when I first spoke to her). It's not a malicious entity, he's bored. Initially, homeowner thought that it was an entity that may have followed them from the prior home but it appears that entity was someone connected to them. This entity is entirely different. He seems to be related to the 1970's.
Conclusion: I believe the female homeowner may be a battery or channel for an entity to come through. I think that she is a sensitive and some entities get a kick out of her reactions to them. I advised her before, and continue to advise her, to cut back on stimulants, drink plenty of water, and to tell the entities to leave her alone. We also requested that as we left.

Weather: hot and humid with hazy cloud cover, no rain; geo-magnetic storm active.
Homeowners present and also a female dog with a litter of five pups.
We began a silent walk through around 7:20 p.m.
interior base temperature in the house was recorded at 88.5 degrees in the living room and 95 degrees recorded for the kitchen area.
Recording investigation on tape beginning at of walk through, and continuing throughout the next 50 minutes.
On walk through, I received an impression of a younger male presence with longer hair, I noticed him first on the upper part of the front staircase then walked across the hallway landing and descended the back staircase, my impressions only included that I felt he was younger, had longer hair and was in general a benign entity roaming throughout at intervals.
In the kitchen area I received an impression of an older female presence standing in front of the refrigerator and she was maybe in her 50's, but I felt as if she had a difficult time trying to breathe, and she felt very short of breath, I saw short hair (slightly above the
shoulder) her hair was dark but I saw graying at the temple areas closest to her head, she had a slight build but the cheeks of her face was rounded, I also got the impression that her name was Mary (Ellen or Ann ) I wasn't sure which, but I felt she was a transient being
who was just stopping in. Then as I walked to the center of the living room I heard a soft whispering in my left ear (although I was in the center of the room myself) Afterwards, as we grouped to discuss impressions and/or findings of our investigation, we were told by the homeowners that her mother had passed in the last year and believed
the female presence may be her mother who she feels is with her.
Carbon monoxide detector registered 270, a dangerous level and it may be possible that the female presence was possibly trying to warn of danger!!!

This was my first investigation with the group. A chance for
me to see what all happens during this time. Upon arriving we
were informed of nothing of the hunt. Upon entering the building
stair well I sensed a faint presence could not determine what
or who it was. Entering the home sensed a somewhat depressing
feeling as of hurt or suffering, sensed a strong feeling in corner of
living room of presence near bedroom doorway (That of a older female).
At that time we gathered in the living room to split into groups. I
Joined Scott and Susan for the first walk-though Kitchen area was first I sensed nothing out of the ordinary took several pics (nothing seen). Bathroom area sensed nothing took several pics (nothing seen). Entered hallway outside of home sense nothing took several pics (nothing seen). Back inside home entered Bedroom area Scott got E.M.F readings from upper corner of bedroom above bed, Closet also inside bedroom was cooler then the rest of the room (possible maybe because closed up before AC was turned off).
I sensed a presence of a female having trouble breathing walking up and
down stairs, same feeling I got in the living room. After all walk
through(s) were done we gathered in Bedroom for E.V.P back ground noise of pets(puppies)possible interference. We then gathered inside Living Room to discuss what we felt during the hunt. Susan,Scott,Denise and Cathy all sensed a male presence in Hallway and inside home, he seemed hesitant to be around us. He was described as a male mid 20' from maybe 70's era ( prankster ?) I was still feeling the presence of a older female age 45 to 55 in age, she had a hard time breathing something wrong with lungs she was checking on a child(infant male) that was upstairs so she was constantly going up and down stairs checking on the child (also sense something wrong with child's lungs couldn't breath) Female appearance was small in stature dark skin( very tan) 5'4 tall stern look on face as if a hard worker all her life. But she had a caring feeling toward her just that she was so tired of the stairs and her breathing problems. Investigation closed, as we entered the Hallway outside of the home I took several pics with a strong (ORB ?) possible.

There was one being that I got only a brief image of but he left a lasting impression. Inside the bed in the upper left corner above the bed, by EMF start to beep. It was then that I noticed that there was someone not breathing looking back at me. The best way to describe him is elf-like. I got the name Gorden or George and he had longer brown hair that was pulled behind his ears. I think he was more shocked then I was to see him because his mouth fell open. In my mind of could hear "Oh shit, you can see me" I smiled and said "Yes I can" That was the only time I saw him inside the house. G Man as we started calling him, is a playful ghost that isn't there to hurt anyone. Just hanging around and having a good after life.
