   Homeowner questions:

   Have you experienced any of the following? If so, please describe in detail. Please document any of the events listed below.

   *Unusual dreams: Dreams have long been considered a "liminal," or thresh hold, state. Since ancient times, humans have reported dreams with deceased family, friends, and even strangers. At times, messages are conveyed to the sleeping person, often verified as correct when the dreamer awakens. This may or may not relate to the subconscious mind.

   I have had many unusual dreams.  One in particular I believe to have been one of the ghosts in our house.  There was nothing prophetic said, I just think it was her way of introducing herself.  She did not tell me her name.

   *Lucid dreams: Dreams where you realize you are dreaming and/or take control of the dream

   I have lucid dreams quite often. 

   *Old Hag Syndrome: The sensation of feeling held down and suffocated by an entity, usually during times of rest or sleep. Often, this "entity" manifests as an old woman, or "hag," and is a menacing presence. This is a type of paralysis dream and may or may not be related to the paranormal phenomena experienced in an area.

   *Paralysis Dreams: One wakes up, but cannot move for a period of time. This may be related to chemical imbalances or pressure in the brain.

   Never happened to me.

   *If animals are in the vicinity, have they been observed acting strangely? Animals often posses instincts and abilities more in tune with their surroundings. Have you noticed your pet having abnormal behavior, such as suddenly becoming aggressive, fearful, or agitated? Does your pet lick the air, follow unseen movement with its eyes, or track something you cannot see?

   Yes, our cats seem to be drawn to our fireplace and to the curio cabinet where I keep my haunted items (I really hate the term 'haunted').  They also have witnessed activity in our bedroom which seems to be a 'hot spot' as well.

   Do you experience any of the following?

   *Seeing a shadow/shadowy figure (s)?

   No, no shadowy figures.

   *Peripheral vision manifestations? Do you see movements out of the corner of your eye, turn to look and find there is nothing there?

   Yes, quite often.

   *Full manifestation of an entity?

   I have seen Mrs. Ash, Frannie (in a photo), an unidentified female with Frannie and a young guy with a beard and moustache but I do not know who he is.

   Are there cold drafts or cold spots found only in a certain location? (Barring drafts created by the a/c or heating units, fans, and windows). Are there areas of the location that are abnormally cold? Centralized locations, or columns, of coldness that won't go away, or appear to move through the house? (These also manifest as pockets of heat, or warm sensations).

   I have actually never experienced a cold spot or hot spot that I know of although I would like to.

   PK activity:

   *Do you experience the apportation of objects? Apportation is the manifestation of foreign objects into a location. This may also relate to small household objects that disappear, cannot be found, but "reappear" in either the exact location first searched or in an area where it will be easily found. Metal objects, including keys, coins, and jewelry, seem to be most often affected.

   All the time.  You name it, we've had it disappear and reappear, usually on the bistro table by the curio cabinet but on occasion, outside in our front yard, in our back yard and it assorted places in our house.  Things like movies, make up, articles of clothing, shaving lotion, etc.  This has been happening my entire life, though.  I honestly cannot remember a time that I did not have activity around me.

   *Have you visual confirmation of objects moving?

   No, never visual confirmation.  I always seem to miss that.

   Do you experience any of the following:

   *Abnormal behavior of lights or doors? Have you witnessed lights coming on of their own accord? Doors opening or closing without assistance? Or, have you experienced unlocked doors locking themselves, or visa versa?

   No.

   *Abnormal behavior of telephones?

   Yes.  Cell phones ringing with no one on the other line and no number showing.  Regular phone ringing with same symptoms.  And one of our ghosts keeps turning the ringer off of our phone (which I don't mind since we get a lot of calls from our children's friends).  This has been going on for a couple of weeks now.  No one living in this house is turning off the ringer so that only leaves the option of the ghost.

   *Abnormal behavior of electronics and computers? Does phenomena seem to happen more near your computer, or when you are working on your computer?

   All the time but I think some of that has to do with me.

   *Do you hear any unusual sounds in the house? Are there any unexplained:

   Popping or sizzling sounds?

   Once we heard this but never figured out what it was.

   Rustling sounds?

   Yes, but it could well be the cats.

   White noise?

   No.

   Voices?

   No.

   Footsteps?

   No.

   Furniture moving?

   No.

   Doors/windows slamming?

   No.

   Other?

   Doorbell ringing all hours and no one there.  Had a friend over who was looking at my haunted items and she said she didn't believe in ghosts.  About 30 seconds afterwards, our doorbell rang and stuck..but no one was there.  It was one of our ghosts way of saying "I'm here".  I think it's Clover doing it because it used to be when the doorbell rang, we would find money in the mulch in our front yard.

   Does the homeowner have natural psi ability? Do you experience the following?

   *Expression of SLIder phenomena: SLIder stands for "Street Light Interference". This is paranormal activity relating to the living. Theoretically, SLIders are emitting a low grade of PK (psychokinetic) energy which interacts and interferes with electronic devices. SLIder phenomena includes street lights going off as a person walks by them, electronic devices constantly breaking when a person is near them or attempts to use them, watches dying, batteries dying at an abnormal rate, etc.

   Yes, as explained above.

   *Premonitions (future events), clairvoyance (sensing or knowing things that are going on in the present at an entirely different location), or retro cognition (seeing events that took place in the past)?

   Yes, premonitions and some have not happened yet.

   Do you experience any anomalous health conditions?

   Eyes?

   No.

   Medications?

   Only in the way that most medications do not have any effect on me.  Might as well take a placebo.

   Are there any OTHER events not covered by those listed above? If so, please list and describe in detail:

Tonight we had two teams of 3 members each.  This time we tried dividing the groups by psychic sensitivity:

Cathy, Chris, Denise  the psi-sensitive group

Brandy, Dianne, Jeanne  the Psychic as Door-Knobs (PDK) group.

On the walk-through, the PDK group observed temperatures in the upper 70s throughout the house, except in the family room, where the thermometer read in the mid 90s due to a suddenly low battery.  The EMF meter was steady, except in the family room, where it spiked and beeped intermittently.  I did not sense any presence of any kind throughout the house, and I don't believe the other two group members did either.  We all smelled cookies when walking into the daughter's bedroom.

The sensitive group reported such sensations as:

-- A dark presence above the house

-- A male presence attached to the females of the house (mother and daughter), but not necessarily concerned with the father and son or the 3 cats

-- A dark presence in the master bedroom and by the bar in the family room

-- A grandmotherly, protective presence in the daughter's bedroom

-- Chris reported that the male entity was hostile to his being there

-- Denise found orbs in her photographs of the master bedroom, the daughter's bedroom and the living room.

During the full group discussion, the EMF meter began beeping more often as the sensitive members described their experiences in the house.  Chris experienced an intense attempt at a conversation with the hostile entity, during which the EMF meter went crazy.  It also beeped a lot in response to our questions during an attempt at EVP.  It was so active that I got the impression we were communicating with R2-D2.  Denise took a picture which showed an extremely well-formed, solid orb that was behind and to the right of where I was sitting.  (It occurred to me that it might have been my protective entity, not what was causing the meter to beep.)

At the height of intense activity, we decided to leave the house but let the recording devices stay on.  Some words about what I recorded will follow.

When we returned to the house, we invited the family to join us.  The husband and wife joined us, but the son and daughter did not.  I remember the husband reporting sleep paralysis and Old Hag Syndrome from his early years, but nothing like that had happened in this house.  The wife told us she believed her first husband had suffered a demonic possession, but that she hadn't spoken to him since 1997.  She also told us she is dealing in 'haunted dolls'  both buying and selling.  And she talked about objects disappearing and showing up someplace else.  Unfortunately, I don't remember anything else they had in their report or said about what was going on in their house  in other words  the reason they called us.

Interesting finding:  During the group discussion, the sensitives had come up with the name Dominic as a possible name of the dark entity.  This turned out to be the name of the wife's ex-husband who had had the demonic problem.  I don't remember if she mentioned his name at the restaurant meeting on October 1st or not.

My recording:  I recorded part of the group discussion as well as the silent session while we were all outdoors.  I did not hear any voices or sounds that were not made by members or their equipment until  During the silent session the EMF meter continued to beep, although it seemed to gradually slow down.  At one point on my tape, there was a sound like a chicken or maybe a cat, as well as a noise in another part of the room that sounded like a footstep.  I don't know if any family members came in while we were gone.  The cats were around, but they had been silent all night.  It was just a short sound and didn't sound like a word.

Other notes:  While listening to the EMF meter beep away, I wondered if anyone had thought to see if it was sending Morse code.

Musings about possible name variations:

-- Denise came up with Orin.  Brandy suggested Orion.  I wrote down Oren, Odin, Oden, Herne

-- Cathy (plus Denise and Chris?) came up with Dominic.  I wrote down domain, Domina, dominion (like Dominions of the Air).

Conclusion:  Even though I didn't sense anything sinister in the house (or anything at all for that matter), I definitely think something was going on there.  The reasons I think this are because of the reaction of the EMF meter, Chris's reaction to the entity that was hostile to him, and because the sensitives came up with the name Dominic.  The group concluded that whatever it was had entered through a portal that was opened on purpose.  The wife confirmed that the doll cabinet was a portal, especially the stone-like cupid's head that was in the cabinet.  I don't know how much of a problem this entity is causing the family.  It will be up to them whether to rid themselves of it or not.

This was an uncomfortable hunt to say the least.  When first arriving, I felt the energy of a male watching me get out of the car from the roof of the house.  He then followed me inside and remained next to me until we officially began the investigation.  It was obvious he was trying to "Overpower" me.  I heard the name "Orin". 

We then began the silent walk through of the residence, which was uneventful.  The tempetures were consistent and between 74-79 degrees.  There were no EMF spikes. In the mater bedroom, I felt like it was much darker than the rest of the house.  I also felt as if there were some type of vortex next to two mirrored dressers, which were in the center of the bedroom where a wall used to divide the large room.    In the daughters bedroom I sensed that an elderly female would watch over the child, but her presence was not currently with us.  It felt like a residual memory. 

We then responded back into the family room where we began communicating with a very negative energy.  It should be noted that during our conversation with the energy the EMF meter would sound off as if he was attempting to communicate and answer our questions.  Prior to our attempting to communicate, the EMF meter did not spike to any significant amount.

To sum up our conversation with him, I believe that this was an ancient spirit whom was very dark and negative when alive.  He lived in the times when they sacrificed animals for power.  He was a type of cult leader with many followers.  He was attempting to gain enough power to ensure his entry and position as a dark lord.  It was an underground cult and demonic.  I do not feel he was a demon, but a man who wished to have the power of a demon.

He was brought into the home by an object and has been taking over as much as possible.  He draws on the wife and children's energies.  I do feel that he can be cast out of the home if the homeowner attempts to do it.  The master bedroom has been transformed into a vortex for him to move in and out of.  While communicating with him, I was not getting any significant photographs of interest.  I then asked if he would show up on camera for us and with the next digital photograph I took, a large possible orb did show up on the photograph. 

At one point during our conversation, one of our team members became ill and had to leave the house.  The EMF meter was responding to questions by a series of beeps, but once the member left (whom we believe was channeling the spirit to some degree) the EMF meter went wild and began beeping continuously for several minutes.  There was no legitimate reason that I could find for the meter to do this.  It had not been doing this prior to the member leaving and stopped when he came back into the home later. 

While the team went outside and discussed the events that had occurred, I sensed that he was on the roof of the residence watching us.  He began to try to frighten us by sending a dragon, which was ablaze, over the rooftop and down towards us.  I did not find this of any concern and told the other members about what I was seeing.

Coincidently, other members later advised me that they did receive an orb on the roof, which does appear to have a red interior as if it was ablaze.  They also received possible EVP's of the spirit while he was attempting to communicate with us.  I had received the name "Dominique"  (or something to that effect) and "Orin"  The other team member stated he was hearing a Latin language.  I was also hearing that he was a lord.  Not an actual lord, but a lord want a be.  We will be conducting research to see what the Latin word for lord is.

Overall, I am concerned with the energy maintaining its residence with the homeowner.  I feel that she does need to take the necessary steps to get rid of him.  I feel that we were able to get a significant amount of EMF, EVP and photography to support some of our psy findings.  This is obviously an energy that needs to be helped by someone or something if that is at all possible.

We had 6 members for the investigation. We decided to try dividing into 2 teams, with the 3 sensitives on one, and the 3 non-sensitives on the other. I was on the non-sensitive team along with Brandy and Dianne. We did our first walk through the house with EMF, and took pictures. We got no unusual readings. When we met the other group back in the living room for our discussion, we put the EMF meter on the coffee table, and it started beeping intermittently. As the sensitives talked about the dark presence that they felt there, it beeped more. We attempted several question and answer sessions, and I taped them with a digital and a tape recorder. During these questions, Chris began communicating with a negative energy. He said that it was an ancient entity, and liked power. It was attracted to the females in the house, and did not like males. He felt that it had been drawn there by something.  It showed him snippets of scenes of animal sacrifice, and creatures with human heads and animal bodies, among other things. He became so overwhelmed that he had to go outside for a while. We all decided to go out and join him, and left our tape recorders going in the living room. Later, we met with the homeowners and discussed what we found. The homeowner admitted to collecting haunted items, and had a glass case of dolls. We don't know if that was what brought the energy in, but the sensitives felt that removing these items would probably help. When I checked my photos later, I got one with an orb over Chris's head.  My digital recordings turned out to be interesting. During one question and answer session, I could hear a male voice say something. It didn't sound like Chris, and he was the only male present. I can't make out what he says, it sounded like maybe "I'm not leaving"? Then after a pause, he says something else that I can't figure out. In another spot, Brandy asks, "Can you tell us your name?" and I hear the voice again. I think he says the word "apologize", but I can't make out the rest of it. When I listened to the recordings on the tape recorder, I can hear these voices in the same spots, but they are more muffled than the ones on the digital. I hope that someday the SPIRITS can post EVPs on the website. I'd really like others to hear these and give me their opinions.

Latin terms:

In my Latin dictionary (my conjugation):  Dominus, domini, domino, dominum, domino

Plural:  domini, dominorum, dominis, dominos, dominis.

Domini relates to either the gen. singular (of the lord) or the nominative plural (the lords).

The definition is literally "master, owner, ruler"

Other terms that might match:  Domo (to subdue or master)

Domus (house home)

I am reviewing the film from last night.  The cat was moving around in there at the time, which scared me to death.  The EMF beeps decrease but remain active, even while we are out of the room.  They are no where near as active as they were with Chris present.

Keep hearing the cat purring and meowing for us!  Very creepy when staring at this screen!!

At one point it gets up in front of the camera and it also knocked something off the counter behind the equipment.  That is one entertaining cat!  And, since I got to see a prolonged view of its belly, Denise, I think that cat provided your squiggly image.  Lots of longish fur....

Nothing on the second video to date other than the cat yowling.  I also said "okie dokey" at some point, which is pretty scary.

I did set the camera up in the perfect location because I faced it toward the TV which gave a reflection of the door area; no one other than the cat came and went out of that area. 

 

Can't find anything on Oryn or Orin.  It is a real name, and also relates to sci fi stories.  So, no god there.  As close as I get is Orion.....and the chest of the constellation Orion was considered Tuat in ancient Egypt.  Tuat is the land of the dead....Heaven, in otherwords.

Other information on goats in religion:

*The Sumerian god Marduk often has a goat as an accompaniment, and it also appears with hunting goddesses.

*The wild goat was sacred to Artemis (who had a crush on Orion, but her brother, Apollo, killed Orion to keep Artemis chaste).

*It is an attribute of Dionysis, who took this form when fleeing from Typhon

*Dionysos/Bacchus is shown reclining in a cart driven by Cupid and drawn by goats

*The followers of Dionysis, the satyrs, are half-goats with goats' horns. (Selini -- SP? -- are evolved goat men; human form with the ears of goats; also followers of Dionysis).

*Pan has the legs, horns and beard of a goat. FERTILITY city!

*Zeus Dictynnos was suckled by the goat Amalthea, whose skin became the aegis and her horn the cornucopia.

*The goat was sacrificed to Faunus, who guarded the woods, fields and sheperds of flocks; also to the other nature gods such as Silvanus and Pan.

*The she-goat was sacrificed to Artemis at her Athenian festival of Munichia.

*Herodotus says that the goat skin or aegis was worn by the statues of Athene in the Lybrian sacrifices and rites.

*Thor's cart (Nordic) was drawn by goats who are his sacred animal.  His goat, Heidrun,  gave heavenly mead; the drink of the gods (How, I don't know!)  Other connotations show the goat as stubborn side of humanity.

*The Chinese goat spirit Yang Ching is the god of the stay Fan-yin; he is the transcendent goat with white face, horns, a long beard and a special head-dress. He is also a Mongolian god.

*In Chinese, the goat is a homophone of yang and so represents the solar, masculine principle; it also signifies peace and the good.

*Russia has a wood-spirit, the Leshi, which resembles Pan and the satyrs in having human shape with the horns, ears and legs of a goat.

*The goat is frequently used in Heraldry; with horns of a different color, it is said to be "armed."

Tape one has nothing else on it, either. 

Amon-Ra was depicted with a ram's head or else as a sun-disc with ram's horns. His cult seems to originate in Nubia.

Jupiter-Ammon (Roman/Egyptian) associated with the ram.  And in one of the mystery religions, Greek god Hermes appears as Kriophore (a shepherd with a kid on its back).  (Mystery religions do appear to be quite cultish).

Great Goddess Ishtar (Astarte or Ashtarot) (Near East/Middle East) was adorned with ram's horns.  Moses also had "horns of light" that were misintepreted to ram's horns by later artists.

Judaism:  A ram's horn --shofar-- was used as a trumpet, to herald the presence of the ark (and war), and was used at coronations and other ritual occasions.  It'll be used again in a week or so with Yom Kippur.

Denise's Tape:

Denise asked me to review the EVP tape that she recorded.  On 10/10 I took the tape with me and reviewed it as I walked in the park.  My notes as recorded:

Well, I walked today and put Denise's EVP tape into my Walkman.  Firstly, we need to come up with a better rythm; this was very hard to walk to!  ;P

Anyway, here's the deal:  Nothing nothing nothing EXCEPT for the following:

Vibratory sounds (both my camcorder and Denise's tape recorder picked them up). 

Both also picked up an air sound, like the a/c coming on.

AND there is one part that makes me wonder.  It was early on during the discussion section of the tape.  Chris had gone, then it was Kathy's turn.  There is a pause and I'm madly scrambling to write.  During this pause a female voice comes close to the recorder and it SOUNDS like it says "Anger", but there is a third syllable.  I'm thinking it is saying "An-ger-ry"...the only problem...right after that one of the SPIRITS, either Denise or Kathy, says something immediately after that.  When people speak softly the mic picks them up...I can't understand what is being said or who is saying it.  However, after listening to the voice over and over again, I don't THINK it is one of us.  It sounds like it's right by the mic.

Phrase:

Brandy:  Just don't break anything.  You can chew anything you want. 

Brandy:  Okay....okay.... Sniffing sound (one of us).

Brandy:  Uh, Let me just try to put down EMF beeps...'cause I'm trying to know what it's beeping at.

Anger (3rd syllable)

Brandy:  Okay.

Female SPIRITS member saying SOMETHING but I can't fathom what it is. ("That is how it stopped?")

Brandy: It probably smells like rats, that's what the big thrill is [for the cats].

(1) Ornias' abode is in the constellation of Aquarius and he strangles

men whose zodiacal sign is Aquarius. In one of his transformations he

is a sort of succubus who, shaped as a woman, visits men and young boys

in their sleep. In addition to the "burning fire" (TSC) or "flaming

fire" (TSol), he can also appear as a winged creature and a lion. (TSC

10; TSol 2:2-4)

Male.  Watching Chris when he came in.  In competition with husband.  It had been let or brougth in.  Had bad energy.

Watching us since we've been in here; doesn't like males.

Using females -- draws strength off of them.  Double-faced; not a good thing.  Shows itself as good, but it isn't.

Sitting behind Chris, watching from fireplace.

Cathy:  presence here, a spirit of conflict and chaos

on the females, conflicts between females

Lonely feeling in bedroom, crowded in there.

Dianne:  no unusual temperatures or readings.

Jeanne:  Nothing.  Noted EMF spikes in living room were sporadic. 

Brandy:  3 orb shots in MA, living room, daughter's room.  Physical sensations.  Came with headache, but it'd been getting better until we got there.  Now worse.

Denies:  When we first pulled up, male energy.  Dominance.  part of the NE corner of the house; watching us.  Middle age presence.  Felt very nervous with presence.

Name: Orin.

MA bedroom:  dark presence, draws anger, makes ith appen.  Angry spurts of energy?  Makes everyone angry?  Additions in bedroom, really upsets him.

Grandmother or auntie figure; brought in via some method (ouija board?  Tarot?)

Domini?  Dameon?  Dominic?  Domin--sounding.

When I tried to narrow down who this could be (lord)...asked if it was related to the ancient world....Egypt. 

When I asked about animal sacrifice my video camera shut down.  Only time that night.

Livingroom:  EVP tried.  Results:  My EVP had "Anger it" or "Angery" on it.

Bedroom:  Portal, entity steps in and out.

Something pagan.

Went into bedroom to recheck.  Denise felt that if they dealt stronly enough with the entity via God, they would cleanse the spirit. 

Homeowner:  ex-husband named Dominic.

The first Christmas that they were there they took ap icture of decorations; the image in the fireplace appeared.  (Viewed:  either ink blot or manifestation; male figure, looks Egyptian.  Suggestion?)

Chris felt sick.  Had to go outside.

Denise felt as if she had been punched in the gut.

Homeowner told us of a statue head that she had bought from a dead woman's estate.  The head, it seems, acts like a portal for ghosts. 

Conclusion:  This was a very strange investigation.  We met homeowners the week before over dinner.  Some of the information was relayed to us then.  While it was not direct, several SPIRITS members present sensed the entity attached to them.  Could this be an investigation of suggestion in and of itself?

On the other hand, these investigators are NOT prone to finding negative entities.  As a team, we rarely do.  The illnesses of several team member's was also very unusual.  It could be eating before the investigation, but most are not prone to such ailments. 

I am at a loss to draw a strong conclusion.  My hesitation is the suggestion factor.  Too many factors are involved to give a definitive statement, in my opinion.

We divided into two groups of three for our silent walkthrough, each of us with pen and paper in hand to silently record personal notes of our impressions and note

temp and EMF readings. Denise, Chris and myself  in my group, we began in the family room. Temp 74-76 and consistent and no Emf spikes, I had an impression

of something heavy and dark that felt like it was looming over my head, almost crowding me, like there was either alot of seperate energies there or either one very

large presence, the only word I can use to describe it was chaos and it was centering around the female homeowner, wanting her attention. I could'nt specifically

feel either a male or female presence ( just a presence.) in the kitchen temp 74-80, no EMF spikes noted and no impressions, in the garage/ sons room temp 74-76

no spikes of emf or specific impressions nor unusual occurances. we continued through the living room/ dining area, hallway, bathroom and the daughters bedroom,

I felt a presence of conflict and discord and I also heard a female voice say " janice Im here!", "can you see me? Im here! ".as we went into the master bedroom temp

78-79 deg. I felt lonely and feelings of strong anger and again the sense of discord. we regrouped in the family room for a discussion of our impressions, we took

photos and decided to go back to the master bedroom where we attempted to do audio recordings for an EVP, as a group there were several of us who had varying

descriptions of what we were feeling, and it my case it was an unpleasant experience, I felt like the female homeowner was focused on by a deceptive presence.

after discussing further impressions and attempting EVP in the master bedroom, we returned to the family room again, with recorders running and flashbulbs flashing,

the EMF detector started spiking at eratic intervals and appeared to be answering questions in sequence to when they were asked. Chris and Denise were homing

in on the presence of a male from the 13th 0r 14th century with a name resembling dominaigh, dominique or something to that effect, Chris was focusing on

channeling details and got wrapped up, we decided a break was called for and we went outside to have a breather. photos taken outside the house showed several

orbs, as well as one with two in it and one was a reddish pink color, audio recordings we done have several distinct areas of what we believe to be EVP in which

one instance a voice says something like what at first we believed was "ANGER" or something to that effect, editing done with the cool wave pro analyzer was

clear enough that you can hear the word "ANGEL" very clear. several other questionable things heard, without success to completely understand what was heard

but all in all, I felt the homeowners needed to shield themselves from what was trying to attatch itself to them, end of report.

Dark Entities

The SPIRITS of St. Petersburg is a paranormal investigative group that is self-professed as searching for the “Caspers” of the supernatural world.  However, sometimes a few of the darker entities slip through; their true nature can even be unknown to the people who house them.

This month, we will focus on what the SPIRITS have observed to be signs of negative entities within a home.

Some symptoms, such as sensing feelings of hostility, can be rather nebulous.  The corporally challenged can express a range of emotions that the living sense.  One of these may be hostility, but consider this:  Imagine the indignity that is created as the surrounding environment changes as new people seemingly invade what was once yours.  There is belief that ghosts may not know why they are being ignored.  Negative emotions are certain to abound.

It is recommended that investigators try to focus exactly what the homeowner feels.  Does the subject feel angry?  Threatened?  Fearful?   Territorial?  Frustrated?  Also, be sure to ask when it happens.  Is there a certain area, or an action, that brings on these sensations?  This can give a clue as to what kind of entity investigators are dealing with:  one who is truly dark, or one who is simply frustrated.

Physical symptoms appear to be the most manifest signs of dark entities.  On several investigations where sensitives felt a negative presence, both homeowners and investigators complained of ailments. 

Headaches are one of the most popular symptoms reported.  Headaches, however, can originate from a variety of sources.  The natural phenomena of constricted blood vessels can be created through simple fatigue from the physical and mental toil of paranormal investigations.  Entities may sometimes draw energy from the investigators in an effort to fuel communication. 

Nausea is also reported.  This seems to stem more from negative entities than from standard ghost investigations.  Perhaps this is a subconscious reaction to feelings of entrapment sometimes associated with a dark force.  Humanity appears to become the prey to something greater and larger than itself, and that is, of itself, stomach wrenching.

Sleeplessness or constant fatigue is a large factor to negative manifestations.  Some darker forces draw upon the energies of the living, much like psychic vampires, in order to manifest.  They literally suck the life out of their hosts in order to make themselves stronger. 

Of course, if the homeowner or investigators undergo a physical attack, that is certainly a sign to leave the premises.  Some of that energy drawn from the living can be turned around into psychokenetic attacks. It is the SPIRITS policy that if any member feels threatened or experiences an attack that we all leave the area together.

While these are but a few signs of manifestations, how to deal with a dark entity is much more difficult. The SPIRITS currently recommends that homeowners seek clergy with whom they are comfortable for additional assistance.
