Mattwood
Part of paranormal research is a learning process.  The investigation at Mattwood, started in 2003 and concluded in 2005, reminds the SPIRITS just how much there is to do in this field of study.

The investigation started out as any other.  Sensitives picked up the presence of two entities, one male and one female.  The male was somehow associated with the homeowner’s mother and was waiting for her.

The female, however, was a different matter.  Sensitives picked up that she was the victim of a murder.  Her spirit wandered aimlessly, waiting for her body to be found and her death to be solved.  She ran for her life from someone she knew, loved and trusted.  She was gunned down in her prime and in a state of fright.  She saw her body decay; she was left behind and lost.

A third essence was also sensed near this presence.  It was not a ghost or spirit, per say, but was an elderly female, who sensitives determined was the dead woman’s grandmother.  “Grandmother” was waiting for her descendent to cross over to the other side.  This provided the first investigation where the SPIRITS found a ghost who had contact on BOTH sides of the veil at the same time.

The difficulty with this type of investigation is finding information to support this case.  Was she a drop in entity, unattached to the land and the people involved?  Was she brought in through a vortex?  Did her body lie on the property?  Unfortunately, there is little research, without a full name and time period, to indicate that what sensitives felt was more than a subjective, though powerful, experience.

This particular entity may have had a secondary manifestation that made her even more unique.  According to the homeowner, on several occasions he discovered strange grainy sand in his bed.  The sand always appeared underneath the bed cover and on top of the sheets.  It was not anywhere else in the home.  It had manifest shortly before the SPIRITS investigation and the team was able to examine the bed.

SPIRITS members took a sample of the ‘sand’, then samples from the ground outside and from the homeowner’s van to verify that the substance was not tracked in from another source.

Costs for testing the samples were extensive; few places appeared interested in what we had found.  Finally, nearly two years after the samples were originally taken, a new SPIRITS member, trained as a chemist, tried to determine what the substances were.  Unfortunately, she quickly ran into a second problem:  there were not enough of the samples to do extensive testing.  This was another lesson for the SPIRITS; despite what is indicated by television, a greater quantity of substance is needed for testing, especially for an unknown substance.

The samples were not useless, though.  Doing what she could with them, she did determine that all three did not dissolve in water (indicating that none of them were detergent).  Though not on the investigation and not privy to discussion about the case, she did correctly identify two of the substances as being sand from the ground (taken from the yard), and sand from the beach (taken from the homeowner’s van).  But, the unknown sample remains a mystery.  (See results at the bottom of this page).

Overall, the investigation at Mattwood was one that stood out for SPIRITS members.  The female ghost’s mysterious nature, the unknown substance in the bed, and the inability to successfully support a conclusion kept this an active investigation for a long time.  Now, we can only learn from our mistakes and continue to build upon our procedures for future research purposes.

Mattwood Court, Town& Country
April 9, 2003
By:  Denise

The hunt began like all others, walking through the home, taking EMF and temperature measurements, along with getting a sense of what may be in store for us.  When I first entered the residence I felt heaviness and found it hard to breathe.  I contributed the feelings to the strong stale smell of cigarette smoke that roamed through the home.  It was not until I entered the master bedroom and large master bathroom that I realized the feelings were much more than just smoke.  At one point, while leaning against the archway leading from the bedroom to the bathroom, I felt so dizzy, light headed and nervous, that I almost passed out.  I then realized the feelings I had were now coming from an unforeseen force.
While I stood in the bathroom I made the announcement that we were at the home to conduct a scientific hunt and that we would speak with any entity after we concluded a silent walk through of the home.  I asked the entities to be patient and offered to take their photograph during the hunt.  While speaking aloud to the entities, Amy advised her thermometer showed a temperature drop of six degrees.  At the conclusion of my speech to the unseen entities, the temperature went up six degrees.  INTERESTING!
I continued through the home and went in the small spare bedroom, which was used to store miscellaneous items,  I sensed a man in his late 60's watching us.  He hung around this room and the spare bedroom, which was next door.  I sensed that he liked to move things around.  As I walked out of this room, I caught a glimpse of a younger white female in her middle 20's.  Her entity did not become clear until returning to the master bedroom.  Numerous photographs were taken in all the rooms of the home.  I was able to catch several possible orbs in the master bedroom, one on a vacuum in the small room where the elderly man was and several in the hallways.
Upon the third and final walk through of the home I began communicating with the female.  Earlier, Scott, the other sensitive, had made contact with the same female.  I did not witness his conversation with the female, due to not wanting to be tarnished by his statements.  When I began talking with her, Scott was present, along with Susan the other strong sensitive and the rest of the team.  Scott was able to validate the information I was receiving as the same he had gotten earlier.
I have to mention an interesting note that occurred while walking out of the master bedroom.  Scott entered the doorway to the bedroom and I heard the female say in a stern voice "Don't go."  Scott immediately stopped, looked at the door frame as if he heard the voice and was looking where it came from.  He then stated he smelled raspberry slurpee.  I became ice cold inside as I do when an entity is present.  Scott later advised he did not hear her talk with him, but happened to sense her at the exact time I heard her tell him not to leave the bedroom.  Again INTERESTING!
The female entity told Scott that her name was possibly "Julian, Juliann, Julius".  She had died by a shotgun wound to the chest.  Her boyfriend, Scott, was the suspect.  It was determined she was involved with drugs and prostitution.  She was possibly killed elsewhere and taken to the woods in that area.  She was explaining how her body was still in the woods and had not been found.  The female was very upset and wanted us to find her.  She kept asking us to go outside.  While out there, I could only get that she was somewhere to the north of the home.  As of this time, the case is unsolved and her murderer is still free.  Further information in reference to this unsolved case was retrieved, but will not be documented in this report.
The team then investigated the spare bedroom where the elderly man remained.  At this time, all three sensitives communicated with the elderly man.  He was relaxing in the home and very laid back.  The man would wander both the spare bedrooms, but stayed away from the master bedroom.  He enjoyed looking through the stuff in the small room.  Susan felt the elderly man's name was possibly Walter.  When asking why he was here, he stated that he was happy just hanging out and was waiting for Lilia or Lillian to pass over.  It was later determined that the homeowner's mother's name is Lillian. The homeowner is unaware who the male entity could be. He will investigate this further.
At the conclusion of the investigation it is believed that the female entity is waiting for a conclusion to her death before she can move on.  The male entity is waiting for the homeowner's mother to pass on to greet her.  It did not appear that there were any negative or harmful entities in this home.  Hopefully, peace can be found for all involved.

Scott E's Report
Mattwood

In my mind and throughout my body, I could feel her death. The spirit had allowed me to be a witness to her murder and there was nothing I could do but watch. Flash back to the early eights. It is nightfall and the harsh outline of trees is all I can see. The ground is wet and marshy with her sandaled feet becoming caked with earth with each step. She is running. Dressed for the hot Florida Fall she is wearing tight fitting blue jeans, a hot pink sports bra with a cut off white shirt covering very little else, it provided no protection for what is about to happen.
She is running for her life. The man she loved and cared for was tracking her with the outline of a shot gun hanging from his arm. She stops, but doesn't know why. Maybe it was fear or final acceptance of what was going to happen. There was no real pain when the gun blast hit her in the chest only pressure and the sense of falling. Her death was quick but her story was endless.
On this investigation the spirit of a woman in her mid to late twenties allowed me to witness her death. She told me her name started with a J, maybe Jillian but it is hard to remember much after being shown this dramatic scene of death. She remembered watching herself being left in a wooded area not far from the home she now haunted. If her death was not painful enough, she was forced to watch as the element took her body away leaving only bones.
This was the most powerful thing I remember from this investigation and I hope that someday she can be placed to rest.

Sue K's report of the:
Matwood Paranormal Investigation
on Wednesday, April, 9, 2003

If a person is murdered and left for dead, will her spirit stay near her
long-forgotten body hoping for it and her murderer to be found?  That's the
question, for me, raised by this investigation.

We arrived at 6pm to investigate a 3-bedroom mobile home.  It was a rainy
evening.  The home owner offered us a snack  while we prepared our
equipment.  He purchased his home about 9 months ago and lives alone without
any pets.

The S.P.I.R.I.T.S. members present for the investigation were:  Scott,
Denise, Amy, Sue, Amelia, Brandy, Susan, and Jeanne.  This was Jeanne's
first investigation with the group.  The sensitives present were:  Scott,
Denise, and Susan.

While waiting for Brandy and Susan to join us, we began a pre-investigation
walkthrough utilizing various equipment such as EMF readers and temperature
gauges.  We then followed with a silent walkthrough where we all walked
around the home and jotted down any feelings or sensations we had.  When we
re-convened in the living room, we decided to re-visit the three bedrooms
again as a large group.

MASTER BATHROOM & BEDROOM:
During the pre-investigation, I began to feel headachy in this room.  I
attributed it to the cigarette smoke in the mobile home.  Scott's digital
camera shut off three times apparently on it's own accord.  I received
slight temperature fluctuations between 72 and 78 degrees.  I didn't receive
any Electro-Magnetic Field (EMF) fluctuations with my meter.

Scott, one of the S.P.I.R.I.T.S' sensitives, sensed a female sprit who had
been shot in the chest with a shotgun.  It was either her boyfriend or a
boyfriend wanna-be.  They fought and he was angry.  Scott sensed Raspberry
Slushies.  He believed the year was 1982 or 1983.  He described her as being
in her 20's with brown hair, lots of eye shadow, a hair clip, wearing tight
jeans and a cut off shirt.  Scott said she died in the area of the master
bathroom in or under the master bath, perhaps in a past trailer that had
been located there.  He said she lay dead a long time and she saw her body
decaying.  The homeowner reminds the young lady of her father, in a very
good way.  Scott said the homeowner has seen her at the foot of his bed.
She reaches her arms out to him and calls him Daddy.  She's happy we know
that she is here.

Scott also sensed an older lady perhaps connected via heavy emotions to the
younger lady.  He thought she might be the grandmother who came back to be
with her.  Scott then said he felt heavy and weighted down.  He also felt a
burning sensation around his eyes similar the feeling you get after crying.
Scott felt the older woman was trying to comfort the younger woman, but the
younger woman can't hear her.  Then he said she was headed to the living
room to see Brandy who had just arrived with Susan.

During our full investigation, Denise mentioned she had an overwhelming
feeling at the master bedroom archway into the bathroom earlier.  Scott
mentioned he had a headache, and Susan said she felt tightness in her
throat.  Denise there was a young female she encountered in bedroom #2 that
was following us around.  She said an older male moves things around.
Denise told us that the lady said 'Don't Go!' right after Scott smelled the
Raspberry Slushie.  She said that, while Scott didn't hear the words, he
started looking around at just that moment.

Scott felt the young lady's name was Julian, Julianne, Julius, or Gillian.
Denise said the young lady was thin with dark brown hair.  She concurred
that the young lady remembers 1983 as the last year she lived.  Denise felt
the lady had two kids that were taken care of by her mother.  Scott said the
boyfriend sold Julianne as a prostitute and that she was into drugs.  The
fight between her and her boyfriend involved prostitution and drugs.  Her
death, in Autumn, may not have been a natural death.

Susan said there was a connection to the woods.  She told us that in the
1982-1983 timeframe, this area wasn't built up.  The area was just woods.
Denise agreed that the trailer wasn't there at the time.  She felt Julianne
was killed elsewhere and her body was rolled out of a car.  At that point,
Susan's chest started hurting and she started getting nauseous.  Scott felt
the young lady's body could still be in the ground.

OUTSIDE MOBILE HOME:
Denise felt Julianne wanted us to go outside, so we did.  Outside, Denise
said Julianne can determine where she's at because of the lake.  Susan
smelled a scent of decay.  Denise speculated that Julianne's body might be
in the woods.  When we returned to the mobile home, Denise heard a voice say
'No Don't'.

BEDROOM #3:
We then proceeded into the third bedroom in the front of the mobile home.
Scott said he felt a heavy feeling coming from the closet.  Susan said there
was a older male named Walter who was in his 60s that was attached in some
way to the homeowner.  Scott described him a unshaven.  Susan said he had
blue/gray eyes and had been injured.  He says in the two small bedrooms and
doesn't go into the master bedroom at all.  Denise felt he moves things
around in bedroom #2 and died of heart failure.  Susan speculated he might
be an uncle.  She though he had rosy cheeks and was Scotch.  Scott quipped
that he liked to DRINK scotch!  Denise said Lilianne or Lila is his wife and
that he's hanging around waiting on her till she passes over.  Susan heard
'Indiana' and speculated that was where Lilianne or Lila was living.  The
group felt he was just hanging out, watching, and passing time till his wife
joins him on the other side.

OWNER INTERVIEW:
The bulk of the interview with the owner can be found in Brandy's report.
We nibbled on the goodies the homeowner had laid out for us and talked.  The
things that stood out for me where the inexplicable appearance of sand
between the homeowner's comforter and top sheet from time to time.  The
homeowner's friend said she once found sand all over the driver's seat of
the van.  The homeowner said his father's name was Charles, not Walter.  His
92 year old mother's name; however, is Lillian (very close to Lilianne or
Lila).   The homeowner had no idea who Walter could be.

CONCLUSION:
I'm left with the question I posed at the beginning of the report:  "If a
person is murdered and left for dead, will her spirit stay near her
long-forgotten body hoping for it and her murderer to be found? ".  The
S.P.I.R.I.T.S group is following up by researching the existence of
"Julianne".

End of  Sue K.'s investigative report.

Jeanne's report
Mattwood
April 9

This was my first investigation with the group, so I felt like I should be an observer, and learn the routine. We did our first walk through, and I followed Scott with my meter and his digital camera. I wasn't getting any readings on the meter when we were in the back bathroom, but Scott was getting a lot of images. He said that there was a woman there, and described her clothes, etc. He saw her being shot in the chest. I took pictures there. We walked through the rest of the house, and Scott felt something in the back bedroom. In the closet, he felt like something was pressing down on him. I took some pictures there, too. Then we joined Denise and others back in the bathroom. She felt a woman there too, and a name. She said the woman wanted us to go outside, so we all went out to the back of the trailer. Scott had his camera back, and took pictures outside. I carried my meter around the back of the house, and to the edge of the woods. Again, I got no readings. When back inside, we all went into the back bedroom. Someone felt that there was a man there and got the name Walter. He said that he was waiting for Lillian. The sensitives said that they felt that he was harmless, and just hanging around. After the investigation, when we were talking to the owner, he told us about the sand that has appeared in his bed. We went into the bedroom and he showed us the dusting of sand on the blanket under the top quilt. Very odd... We took more pictures there, and I kept my meter on. Again, no readings. Overall, I didn't feel anything odd, or have any luck with the meter or the pictures, but enjoyed my first investigation very much. Seeing the sensitives at work is very interesting to me (being a non-sensitive). I really look forward to my next one.

Brandy's Report
Mattwood Investigation
April 9, 2003

Present:  Denise, Susan, Amelia, Scott, Amy, Jeanne, Sue, Brandy

Homeowner, friend, Jessica, also present.

Investigation:
Susan and I (Brandy) arrived late.  We were unable to participate in the pre-investigation.  However, the other SPIRITS had pinpointed two areas in the home that they felt had a lot of activity.  One was the Master bedroom, the other was a guest room.

Master bedroom had an attached bathroom.  Upon our arrival, Scott and several other teammates were in the Master bedroom "communicating" with an entity.  Denise chose to wait for Susan and myself so as not to taint her information.

When we went into the room, several, including myself, smelled an aroma similar to raspberries. The homeowner did smoke, and the smell of cigarettes hung heavily in the air.  This did not impede the aroma.  Investigation of candles in the room found that a) none were lit, and b) none were scented.  Scott told us that he sensed it was related to Raspberry slushies.I thought it might be closer to the aromas found in bath gels and body sprays.

There was no EMF upon entering the room.  Going into the bathroom, the others explained they had felt very dizzy in archway (leading to the bathroom).

The aroma of raspberries came and went throughout the following several minutes.

Susan sensed that the entity was tied to the woods, or to the land.  EMF still remained very low on my meter.

The entity was female, and was "wearing" jeans, was slender, with "scraggly brown hair".  She had a cut off shirt and a "banana clip" in her hair.  She "knew she was dead".  Susan felt a tightness in her chest at this point.

A second entity hovered near this one.  The sensitives described it as a "her" and as something like a spirit of a spirit.  When the woman was alive, her grandmother, who passed, remained near her in spirit.  It was this shadow entity that was sensed near the "active" entity.

Scott thought that she often associated with the homeowner as a father figure.  She does try to talk to him, and often cries when she does.  She wants help.  (Scott complained of feeling "dry eyes," possibly from a link to her; he thought it was related to the sensation of post-crying).

She possibly died in 1982 or 1983 at the age of approximately 25, with trauma to the head and or chest.  There is possibility that the death was not natural.  There was no home on the property when she died, and her body was left exposed to the elements.  According to Scott, she "saw herself decay."

When alive, she had two children who were cared for by her mother.  She was possibly addicted to drugs.  The name "Julius," "Julian," or "Jillian" came to mind.

She wanted us to go outside, she wanted to direct us to where her unmarked grave was located.  It was somewhere in the woods, according to sensitives, but the woods were cut by a deep ditch, and filled with poison ivy and poison oak.  We chose not to go any further.  When we left the area, she yelled at us because she was upset.  She did not want us to leave.

We then proceeded to the second bedroom.  There, Susan felt a crawling sensation.
In the pre-investigation walk through, Scott felt a presence in the closet area.  Susan "heard" the name "Walter".  He was attached to the home owner in some way.  He was in his 60s, Caucasian, with gray hair, unshaven face.  He had gray eyes and a deep blush.  He had a humped back, possibly due to an injury.

Several sensed that he likes to move into the hallway, into the spare room that holds odds and ends.  He likes the fishing lures the homeowner keeps in that room.  He and the female entity do mot interact.  He does, however, like to move things particularly in the guest room.  He may have been an uncle who liked to drink.

He had no real message to convey, except that he was hanging out.  He was not ready to "go".  H was waiting for, as I initially wrote on my sheet, "Lily Ann", who was his wife.  Again, it was sensed that he moves things.

Denise and I went back into the Master bedroom. Denise pointed out an area where she sensed the entity waiting.  The woman was distraught and upset that we did not go further to "find her."   I took several pictures, one of which returned with a strong orb image.

The team moved back into the living room to conduct the interview.  (See below).  Afterwards, we went back to the master bedroom.  The homeowner revealed to us that he had had four instances of sand manifesting in his bed.  It showed up only on the top of the top sheet, which was covered by the bedspread.  The bedspread did not have any sand on it, nor did it appear to "emit" any sand.  The homeowner told us he does NOT use powder detergent.

The sand is small grained and pinkish in color.  We obtained a sample and plan to send it out for analysis.  We also got samples of sand from the outside area, and he provided a sample of beach sand which he tracked into his car.  He does go to the beach in his "down town."

The "sand" coalesced in crevices created by the sheet pressing against the mattress, but was spread evenly over the entire top of the top sheet.  No sand appeared either under the fold of the top sheet or underneath it.  It is most unusual.  Inquiries into other sand-apportation cases reveal that some haunted houses apparently manifest sand of unknown origins and for unknown reasons.  Further study must be done on this before we can comment further.

I did get 3 potential "orb" images when I photographed the sand and sheets.

The interview revealed the following information, through a paranormal log that Bob kept.  He recorded events prior to contacting the SPIRITS, and events after we set up the investigation.

Around November 10:  Put up Christmas decorations.  Small bear that when you press its hand it plays Christmas carols.

It started to play by itself.  I shut it off four times s it kept coming back on by itself.  I removed it from where it was and it stopped.

Two days later (Nov. 12?):  Silver shell ashtray was on a stand.  I came home from work and it was sitting on the floor on the vent, about 6 feet away (from it's prior location).

(Nov. 14?) I went to change the comforter on my bed a couple of days later.  It is a reversible spread, and I was going to switch it from blue to red.  I found a think layer of fine sand underneath the bedspread, on the top sheet.  All bedding was newly bought.

(Nov. 15?) The following day, my house alarm went off by itself.

(Nov. 22?) About a week later, I was sitting at my table talking on the phone when my front door opened by itself.

Jan. 15th:  I took down the Christmas Decorations.  Nothing happened until Feb. 4th.

Feb. 4th:  I was awakened at 5:15 a.m. by the sound of my closet door opening.  When I woke up and rolled over, I saw a black man and woman.  The woman was standing in the closet reaching in.  The black man was standing in the door way.  I said "What the hell are you doing? And jumped out of bed swinging.  I knocked the clock off of the dresser as I rushed at them; they disappeared.

The woman was wearing a long flowered dress.  The man looked like he was carrying some kind of tray.

I was talking to a friend on the phone about this.  I decided to check under the comforter and found another film of sand.  I took some pictures this time and scraped off some of the sand.

Feb. 5th (Thursday) I was getting ready for work when I walked into the guest bathroom (never used) and found the face cloth on the floor.

Tuesday, Feb. 9:  Went bowling.  Came home at 8 pm.  Fell asleep on the chair and woke up when it felt like somebody poked me in the ribs.

Tuesday, Feb. 17:  Found sand on the driver's seat of the van.  (He explained that it was more like beach sand; might not be related to the bed sand).

Thursday, Feb. 21st:  Came home from work at 1:30 a.m.  My TV was on.  It showed snow and it was a gray screen.  A dark shadow appeared to run across the screen (through the "snow".  I shut it off and turned it back on and it worked fine, without any images showing up on it.

April 3:  Found sand in the bed again.  Left for you to see.

(SPIRITS investigation:  April 9).

During the interview on the 9th, Jessica, his friend, also revealed the following:

She was the one who found the house.  She also sensed the entities on subsequent visits to the home.  She also slept in the guest room.  She did not feel the entities were malevolent.

Subsequent information:
Bob called 4/12/03. He spoke with his sister about the entity the sensitives picked up named "Walter." Bob she called him back and told him what happened.  Walter was Bob's great-grandfather who may be involved with a family conspiracy with a niece named Lillian.  Lillian's daughter is Jeanine, though I don't know if that has any importance as of yet.

He also said he put out jewelry for the other female ghost, nothing yet. He'll try the scotch tonight.

Things have settled down considerably for him, too. Entities are not acting up so much.

Conclusion:  I found it very unusual that the aroma smell continually came and went through the investigation.  Much of the information can only be substantiated through police reports.  I have edited certain information due to the report being posted on line.

My own meter recorded little EMF, though I believe other meters did pick up anomalies.  Due to my late arrival, I was not as organized as I would like to have been.

However, I did get a series of orb images on digital camera that appeared near Scott, who continued to receive a lot of information from the entity during our initial foray into the bedroom.

The sand remains a puzzle to me.  I'm not sure what to make of it, but am currently trying to track down locations that can analyze what this might be.

It does appear that there is something attached to the land, at least relating to the female entity.

I was astounded with the accuracy of the team in dealing with "Walter" and "Lillian"especially when confirmed by the homeowner.   Why the entity has chosen to attach to the homeowner is unknown.

The ability to confirm this investigation will be slow, and possibly hampered, but I look forward to seeing the end results.

Report of Mattwood
April 9th,  2003
Member Attendees:  Amy, Brandy, Sue, Scott, Jeanne, Amelia, Susan and Denise

By: Amy Rohrsen

The day we investigated the home on Mattwood a cool front was approaching and
rains had come through just before the hunt began.  Temperatures outside were
dropping rapidly.

The initial walk through produced heavy results in the master bedroom/bathroom.
There was a 6 degree differential between the time that Denise made our opening
statement till she completed it.  Scott began to experience battery drain on his
digital camera.  It was apparent that Denise and Scott were beginning to pick up
things and had to fight back the signals they were getting.

The only other room to produce anything was the very back bedroom.  I felt a
strong presence when standing on the threshold of the closet.  Scott came over
after me and mentioned the same thing.

We started the actual investigation in the master bedroom/bathroom.  Here Scott
began to pick up the name Julian/Julius.  He felt that she was shot by her
boyfriend with a shot gun and that she was struck in the chest.  Scott kept
feeling heaviness in his chest.  He estimated the date either 1982 or 83.  He
saw the young woman, in her 20s, wearing a lot of eye shadow and in tight jeans
and a white mid drift shirt.  She had long brown hair which was pulled up in a
clip and the scent of raspberry slushies kept coming to him.  He sensed that she
was either killed on that spot or brought here after her death.  She then
watched her self decay and did not know where to go.  The home owner reminds her
of her father, with whom she had a really good relationship.  She  has stood at
the foot of his bed and reached out to him.  Her intentions are not to scare
him.  Scott indicated that the she was happy that we were there investigating
and knew she was there.  There was also an older woman that Scott picked up.  A
grandmother type and she is trying to contact the young woman.

Denise mentioned that there was a woman following us around the room and
when we left during the initial walk through she called out "Don't Go!"
Scott who was looking around the room turned his head back towards the room even
though he hadnât heard the voice.  He had smelled the raspberry slushies
again.  More contact with the young woman brought the possibility that she had
been into drugs and prostitution.  Her boyfriend, the names Scott and Robby were
possibilities here, had "sold" her.  Her death was mysterious, her body left unburied.
The young woman wants some one to find her body and give her a proper burial.

After closing communication with her we moved to the back room where Denise and
Susan picked up on an older gentleman in his 60s, possibly with the name,
Walter.  He had apparently died of a heart attack and was waiting for his
"wife" either Lyla or Lillan who is still alive.  He likes to watch people.
We later found out that there is possibly a Lillian in the homeowners family.

During the interview we found out that there has been "sand" mysteriously
placed between the sheets in the homeowners bed.  It was not appearing on the
comforter or pillow cases and they are all washed in the same manner and with
liquid soap not powder.  The "sand" was of very fine texture, almost too
fine to be beach sand.  The sand was collected and will be further investigated.
Other information from the homeowner includes the house alarm going off and a
pair of âshadowy people in the bedroom.  These "dark" persons were male
and female and vanished as soon as the homeowner jumped from his bed to
"attack".  The female was wearing a flowered dress and the male carrying a
tray.

It is obvious that this home holds extra residents.  The sand factor is very
interesting and something we have not experienced in the past.  Hopefully we can
gain some knowledge in this area and possibly come back with an explanation.

1.  Shook for one minute.  Most grains settled and some particles floated on top.  No soapy appearance.  Water on top appeared cloudy and pinkish.
2.  Shook for one minute.  All grains settled to bottom.  Clear water on top.  No soapy appearance.3.  Shook for one minute.  All grains settled to bottom with clear water on top.  No soapy appearance.

Conclusion:

None of these samples seem to be detergent as they are not very water soluble.  They also show a pH close to water (7.00).  If one of these samples were a detergent it would be basic, meaning the pH would be much higher than the water.  It would also feel slippery to the touch.  For example, bleach and bar soap is basic and slippery to the touch.  Bleach has a pH of about 12.6.  See below for some comparisons of other pH ranges.   I am assuming sample # 2 was sand from a beach, sample # 3 was obtained from a sandy ground area and number one is the mystery sample, which is still a mystery.  I would rule out the detergent theory though, not that it is anything paranormal either???  I saved a tiny, tiny bit of each sample.  A much larger sample of these would be needed to submit for testing by an analytical laboratory that tests soils, etc.

pH Comparisons:

Bleach = 12.6
H2O = 7.00
Lemon Juice = 2.2
Powdered Laundry Detergent = 11.00
