There are two types of paranormal investigations.  The first is the best possible scenario:  those that are exciting and produce phenomenal results via equipment and photography, and that hold psy-based information that is verifiable through research.  The second kind is quite the opposite, with either minimal activity, unverifiable results, or no phenomena what so ever.

The SPIRITS investigation on Cranberry Lane provided both results for the team.

The first time the SPIRITS arrived at the three story house, we had a multiple agenda.  The producer of "Pychic Moments," a Tampa-based cable access TV show, arrived to film a pre-investigation walk through with two members of the team.  The entity within the house started to stir almost immediately.  A set of wind chimes rang when no one was near them, and the producer, herself a sensitive, received several messages that were verified through the homeowner.

Tentative investigation picked up an entity in the master bedroom, complete with temperature fluctuations that registered anywhere from the lower 70s to the upper teens.  Three digital pictures caught orbs in the bedroom.  A second bedroom held a small blip of EMF (electromagnetic field energy).  The downstairs area, where the majority of the events took place, also produced a few small orbs.

However, as the other SPIRITS members arrived, several unusual events happened.  The cameras belonging to two different individuals refused to work properly.  One member became sick to her stomach.  It was also the date of the Buccaneer play off game, itself a paranormal phenomena long awaited by residents of the Bay area.  In addition, a second set of reporters, hailing from Arcadia, arrived to observe the group in action.

In order to allow a respite between events, permit the repair of equipment, and create an island of rest for the weary, the investigators opted to do something unusual:  with the homeowner's permission, the team ordered dinner.

A short time later, the team felt well enough to move forward with the investigation.  The entity, however, did not.  Upset at the temporary lack of attention, the sensitives picked up that it refused to cooperate with us that night.  No images appeared on film, no EMF registered.  Temperature fluctuations stopped.  At 7:30, the team called it quits and rescheduled to come back.

Two weeks later, five core members of the SPIRITS team arrived refreshed, sans reporters and camera crew.  This time, we focused entirely on the entity.

The results were radically different.  Areas that held energy before were now quiet settled.  The upper bedrooms produced no abnormal activity.  Yet, downstairs the entity managed to connect with the team sensitives and produced multiple orb images.  As the homeowner suspected, it was the spirit of her father who had passed.  His wife, and her mother, currently lived in the downstairs quarters.  Several of her father's possessions were stored in that part of the house.

A secondary entity, a young boy named "Peter", temporarily appeared.  He claimed he was lost and lonely, and wanted to go home.

A female spirit passed through the area producing both orbs and mists.  "Emily" was proceeded by a sweet flowery aroma observed by three members in the first floor kitchen, study, and living room.  Apparently confused, she remembered being on a train, but had no idea why she was in the house.  Her presence faded after a short time.

As the team completed the investigation, one last event occurred.  In the living room area, as several teammates sat down to contemplate digital images, a large, eight pound book leapt forward 63 inches from its resting place, landed on the floor, bounced, and settled 95 inches from its original spot.  Photographs taken in the area show several light orbs.

Despite attempts to replicate the result, the team could not get the book to move.

Was this a message from the homeowner's father?  Psychokinetic proof of his visit and loyalty to the family?

If so, it provided valuable insights to all involved.  Psychokinetic activity is among the rarest events the SPIRITS team has experienced.  It was remarkable that nearly the entire team was gathered to witness the phenomena.

For the homeowner, it held a possible additional clue to her father's purpose there.  The book that fell was a family Bible, and the image it opened to showed a picture with a caption beneath that read:  "The cave of resurrection."

Report of Cranberry Investigation
January 19th, 2003
Member Attendees: Amy, Brandy, Sandy, Susan, Sue and Cindy (Denise -- sorta)
By: Amy Rohrsen

Walking into Denise's home I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I had heard all the stories (not in detail in interest of the investigation) about her dad still being with us. I arrived at the same time as Sue, Sandy and Susan with Cindy following soon after. We quietly sat in the living room awaiting the session with Dinah to concluded. Shortly after Brandy let us know that upstairs was all clear and we could start the pre-investigation Cindy's camera started ârunning❠on its own without here even touching it. She did not have any film in it at the time. When she did finally load the film the camera proceeded to "chew up" the film. This was puzzling because, as she had mentioned, she had never had anything like this happen with the camera. We then did the pre-investigation. We started in the son's room where the only EMF I picked up was near the fish tank. (filter) I did noticed that there were some mild temp fluctuations. Temps read at 74 degrees closer to the window and 71 further into the room. Moving into the daughter's room next door I felt it to be a little harder to breathe â" as if the air was a bit heavier  right inside the doorway. Temperature readings were consistent however I did receive a quick danger spike right over the Coleman chair that I could not replicate. I thought it may have been the TV next to the chair but several attempts to get the same reading failed. The master bedroom did not produce any out of the ordinary results for me â" with the exception of some heavier air near the closet. Susan picked up on a man in his 60s with salt and pepper hair. The word âbrown❠kept coming up but she didn't know if it meant the color or his name. The names Peter and Stinson kept coming to Susan. The only other room in the house that I received anything unusual was in the bottom level living room (Mother's living room). I experienced a quick caution spike over the china cabinet. It was then we broke for about an hour or so to eat dinner and finish watching the football game. (An action we later think upset any entities in the home.) I ran up to use the restroom and clean my pant leg after an unfortunate incident with a cute little Sugar Glider and while there the bathroom door locked on its own. I was SURE I didn't lock the bathroom door as that is not an action I do normally in a private home. This occurred around 6pm. We determined that the only rooms we needed to concentrate on were the daughter's room, the master bedroom, and Denise's mother's living room on the bottom floor. We began the actual investigation in the daughter's room. At this time nothing unusual was picked up. I did not capture any potential orbs in this room. Moving into the master bedroom both Sue and Susan locked on some temperature fluctuations near the window. I was not able to pick up any unusual EMF however I did capture a few small orbs on digital camera. The third and final room we investigated was the mother's living room on the bottom floor. I was unable to pick up any unusual readings and it was at this time that Sandy announced that everyone was gone. Denise's mother sat in the chair and we all politely asked for Denise's father to come visit with us. I was able to capture several orbs on my camera over the china cabinet. Sandy noted that the entity was laughing at us. Denise explained that the hauntings in her home began about two years ago with the sounds of heavy footsteps in her attic. She has woken up several times with someone over her wanting to talk. When photos are taken of her late fathers chair, many times orbs appear. At one point the sound of a heartbeat was heard by the chair for a full day. Denise was unable to find the source. It was thought that Denise's father once expressed his disapproval of a conversation directed towards him by causing the chair to reek. Denise's sister described the smell to that similar to diarrhea and explained that the smell was so strong you had to leave the room completely in order to breathe. A day later the smell subsided. This was the conclusion of the investigation. Denise later told us that that night something kept turning the lights on and off and turning on the radio as if to state that they were upset that we did not give them the attention they wanted in the beginning. This investigation was a learning experience for us all. It was unfortunate that we couldn't experience more activity however we will leave it open for discussion on how to improve our investigation. I truly believe that there are several entities that occupy this home with Denise and her family. I am just sorry they didn't feel welcome to introduce themselves.

Investigation:

Location: Daughter's room:
No activity for me; 68 degrees at the window (fluctuation) and 100 % EMF by TV area.  Amy reports an unusual spike on  her EMF meter.
Photographic anomalies:  Photographs of the area do produce a few orbs.  My digital picked up at least one orb image in the room.

Interview:  Amy pin pointed this room as having activity during the pre-investigation.
According to the homeowner, her daughter has heard voices in the room, and been awakened by multiple voices calling her name.

Location: Son's room
EMF:   Fluctuation near fish tank; filter
Temperature fluctuations: Room read 71-74 degrees.
Photographic anomalies:  None
Other occurrences: None

Location: Master Bedroom
No EMF during pre-investigation
Temperature:  59-61 degrees; windows open
Pre-investigation:  several pinpointed this as an area of activity; it was selected for revisit.  Sue, particularly, seemed interested in this room.

Investigation:  EMF SPIKE, 0-3 scale, jump from .2 to 1.5.  Lasted a fraction of a second.

Temperature fluctuations: Yes, several teammates recorded unusual readings near the window.  Temperatures fluctuated from the readings in the 60s.  Three thermometers were utilized, though all were of the same make and model.  Closer to the window, metal registered 12 degrees, air near window registered a constantly dropping temperature.  This area coincided with the EMF fluctuation I got on my Trifield meter.  This area stretched from the window sill to the base of the bed.

Photographic anomalies: I got an orb image on the ceiling and on top of the dog's cage using the digital camera.

Other occurrences: Susan sensed the name William, Sandy sensed he was fading.  He was a male, in his 60s, with salt and pepper hair and brown eyes.  She heard the name Stinson, and associated him with brown (name?  Color?)  He faded away.

Location: Hallway
Temperature:  68-72 degrees
No EMF, no unusual senses.

Location: Stairs
68 degrees, EMF steady reading at the top of the stairwell wall, 10+ reading.  Wiring.

Homeowner reports that she has heard stomping coming from above this area before.  It sounded as if it came from the attic, and lasted a considerable amount of time.  She checked the attic and could find nothing in there, but the stomping noises continued.

Living room:  EMF:  TV on (100% plus)
70 degrees near windows, 71-72 degrees in the room.
No unusual sensations.
No unusual images from my camera.

Homeowner reports that she has seen an outline presence in this room.  Susan sensed the name "Peter" while she was in the area.

Location: Study area:
No unusual sensations.
EMF:  100+ (computer in area)
Readings:  65-67 degrees.

Location: Kitchen
EMF:  Yes, recorded from devices.refrigerator, microwave, etc.
Temperature:  66-67.5 degrees.
No unusual sensations.
Other occurrences: Sandy, during dinner, felt a hand try to pull her towards the sitting room downstairs.

Location: Mom's sitting room, downstairs
61 degrees, 63 degrees near window (partially submerged into ground)
65 degrees near door
No EMF
Pre-investigation:  Walking from Mom's bedroom to the sitting room, I felt dizzy, a sensation I have come to associate with strong haunting activity.

Several picked up that they wanted to go back to this area to investigate it again.
During the time of the tv show taping, the wind chimes in the stairway at the bottom started to chime a bit.
Pre-investigation:  Dinah, the TV producer, picked up several sensations:  dice clicking and playing craps, unlaced shoes with holes in the sole.these all were confirmed by the homeowner as being things her Dad had or did during life.  It is believed by the homeowner that her father stays near her mother, who lives in the area.

Upon arriving to the house, Sandy felt rhat there was someone looking out the bottom floor window at us.

Susan sensed an energy field around Virginia.

During the main investigation, the room was warm and stagnant.  As we were down there it did gradually grow noticeably cooler.  Several images did develop in the area.

Sandy picked up the idea of teddy bear, laughter, and picked up that the homeowner and her sister had pet names for each other.  At one point, she sensed Bob sitting in the chair.

Susan picked up an entity on the couch between Virginia and myself.

Around this time, my digital recorder, which had fresh AAA rechargable batteries and had only been used to record about two minutes worth of dialogue prior to this point, was set up to try an EVP.  It stopped working, indicating that the batteries were out of power.  I had no problems with them earlier in the investigation, and find it interesting that they stopped here, during at ime the entity was being "pouty"...

However, the sensitives picked up that the entity was upset with us.  We had started the investigation, then stopped it for dinner, and started up again.  The entity did not like that and was sensed as "pouting" and upset.

At this time, the homeowner's husband and son came home; neither experience phenomena, and the husband does not believe in ghost.  The dynamics of the home shifted noticeably, as human noise and activity increased.  We ended the investigation at that point.

That night, the homeowners reported that the entity stomped around, turning on lights and music, and had to be asked to stop disrupting the family.

Mother's bedroom:
61-65 degrees.
No EMF.
No unusual activity picked up by the team.

The chimes at the base of the stairs leading to Mom's room also chime when there is no one there.

After the investigation, a book the homeowner had in her purse, a surprise gift for her sister, was found next to the purse.  Homeowner had not moved the book, which was kept in a side pocket of the purse, and no one was in the area.

Visual confirmation of objects moving? Yes, see above.

Abnormal behavior of lights or doors? Yes:  after the investigation, lights and music were heard going on and off all night.

Other:
Approximately two years ago, the activity started.
The family, particularly the homeowner, her mother, sister, and daughter, have encountered paranormal activity before.

In the home, the first thing that happened was the manifestation of footsteps mentioned above.

The daughter's room started to manifest a negative feeling, and the family felt wathced in there a couple of times.

There has been activity in the living room:  3 to 4 people have seen or experienced something downstiars.

Other activity not listed up above:  The two sisters heard a strong heartbeat coming from the mother's room. It lasted for hours.  The father died due to heart ailments.

At one point, after a negative conversation about the father, the area of the chair emitted a horrible odor of bodily waist.  It lasted for 15 minutes, and was emitted from the chair.  The family had to leave the area but the smell completely dematerialized a short time later.

The sister also felt an intense evil manifest in the living room one day.  It left, but she was shaken by the experience.

Investigator's Observations & Conclusions: I believe that the family is being watched over by the father's spirit.  However, I think there may be other spirits active in the area.  I find it interesting, and alarming, that several have sensed such strong negativity in the home, Cindy got sick, the cameras acted up.

The entity also behaved abnormally, becoming upset and pouty when we did not pay attention to it.  My feeling is that it was excited by the TV interview, as manifestation of activity occurred,  and by Deanna's presence.  However, due to several unusual situations that day, the investigation was interrupted.  The person described by homeowner and family would have probably been OK with it; why did it become pouty and upset?  Was that a manifestation of another entity?  Or did we inadvertently offend this one?

We would like to try to investigate the home again, with less distractions, no guests, or dinner interruptions.

Sue K's report of the:
Cranberry Lane Paranormal Investigation
on Sunday, January 19, 2003

We arrived at the Cranberry Lane residence at 4:30 while Brandy and Denise were concluding their walkthrough with Dinah.  Dinah was filming this walkthrough for her cable access TV show to show her audience what an investigation is like.  Originally, I thought she was to join us during our team investigation, but apparently her plans changed or she felt she had enough footage already.  This tri-level house is owned by D.  D,  her mother, sister, and daughter were in the house during the investigation.  D's husband and son came home later toward the end of the investigation.  The S.P.I.R.I.T.S. members on the investigation were:  Brandy, Denise, Susan, Sandy, Amy, Sue, and Cindy who is a new member.

We planned to begin with a pre-investigation walkthrough with everyone using our EMF readers and temperature gauges in order to get initial equipment readings.  The sensitives, Susan and Sandy, were asked to make notes of their impressions without communicating them to the rest of the team.  The reasoning being this pre-investigation was to better document our findings and better streamline and organize the investigation.  The second part of the investigation was scheduled to include interaction between the sensitives and the spirits they encountered.

Between the pre-investigation and the second part, we ordered pizza and watched the end of the Bucs game on TV that would bring them to the Super Bowl.  This break proved to be detrimental to our investigation and we will not interrupt the flow of future investigations again.  Before embarking on the second part of our investigation, our team was joined by Steve and Carla who are writers researching the investigative procedures used by paranormal investigators.

LIVING ROOM:
While preparing my equipment for the investigation, I found that my camera battery appeared to have died.  It no longer showed me the date and time and depressing the button would not take a picture.  I removed the battery and put it in my pocket and focused on my other equipment.  About 15 minutes later, for some reason, I decided to put the battery back in.  Lo and behold, the camera was fine!

In the meantime, Cindy (our new member) pulled her camera out of her bag and it acted as if it was rewinding the brand new roll of film!  Cindy tried to open the camera with no luck.  Susan ended up removing the tiny screws to try to open it and remove the roll of film.  Cindy never was able to get the camera to work that evening.  During this time, Cindy abruptly left the room and headed upstairs to the bathroom.  When she returned and was asked if she felt okay, she responded she did now.  Cindy apparently felt fine the rest of the evening although she later told us she had felt a sense of loneliness when she first entered the home.

In total, we spent about 45 minutes before beginning the pre-investigation due to these equipment malfunctions.  I measured the living room for temperature fluctuations with my Radio Shack IR thermometer.  The temperature was between 65 and 72 degrees.  Using my E.L.F. EMF reader, I found no EMF fluctuations.

SON'S ROOM:
Next we headed upstairs.  We started with D's son's bedroom.  The temperature readings were between 70 and 75 degrees.  I didn't get any abnormal EMF fluctuations.  I got a reading near the fish tank, but that's a source of electrical energy, so that would be considered normal.

DAUGHTER'S ROOM:
We then entered D's daughter's bedroom.  She was in there watching TV.  The temperature registered between 71 and 73 degrees.  I received no EMF fluctuations.  Amy suggested the team revisit this room again later.  When we returned around 6:45, a number of digital and 35mm pictures where taken of the room.  Later when we interviewed D, she told us she has a negative feeling about this room.  Her daughter has told her that she sometimes hears talking in here.

MASTER BEDROOM:
We entered the master bedroom and found it to be quite cold.  D had her dog in his dog cage and had opened the window for ventilation.  The temperature fluctuated between 46 and 66 degrees throughout the room.  When we returned a while later for the full investigation, Susan was taking temperature readings by the open window and got readings down in the single digits!  I went over and was able to get similar readings, but I was using the same type of Radio Shack IR thermometer Susan was using.  Brandy speculated that the screen in the window was perhaps bending the infrared beam and distorting the readings.  However, Susan noted we still got single-digit readings even below the window pointing at the wall.  The temperature outside was in the 40's, not close to zero.  As far as EMF readings, I received none.

Susan said she was getting the name 'William' and had gotten the name 'Peter' downstairs earlier.  She felt bouncing.  Sandy said 'Grand Central' to describe her feeling lots of enery coming and going.  Susan said she felt numbness in her face.  Then she sensed an older man in his 60s with salt and pepper hair.  She got the words 'Stinson' and 'Brown', but couldn't tell if 'Brown' was a name or color.

Later, when we interviewed D, she told us she has been awoken by a male presence in this room.  She sleeps on the side of the bed closest to the window where we got the very low temperature readings.  A few times, she has been awoken by her father and once by a female.  She told us that one time she awoke to see an orb with a face in it hovering near her bed.  Even, on those rare occasions that she sleeps downstairs, she has been awoken by a male presence.

BATHROOM:
The temperature in the bathroom was 69-70 degrees and I received no EMF readings.  Amy, who had visited the bathroom earlier, had told us she had gotten locked in somehow.  She swore she didn't lock it, because she didn't even realize it had a lock.

UPSTAIRS HALLWAY:
I took temperature readings in the upstairs hallway and found it registered between 67 and 73 degrees.  Again, no EMF readings were received.

KITCHEN:
We then headed back downstairs to the kitchen.  The temperature was between 65 and 69 degrees.  I found no abnormal EMF readings.  EMF spikes near refrigerators would be considered normal because they are a source of electricity.

DINING ROOM:
In the dining room, the temperature was between 65 and 68 degrees.  This was consistent with the readings of the kitchen and living room which are all on the same level.  I found no EMF fluctuations in here either.

MOTHER'S ROOM:
We headed to the bottom floor which consists of D's mother's room and her family room.  The temperature in her Mother's room was between 59 and 64 degrees.  Once again, my EMF reader didn't register any fluctuations.

MOTHER'S FAMILY ROOM:
This room contained a couch, recliner chair, entertainment center, and a little rock garden.  The temperature was consistent with D's mother's room next door.  The temperature was between 63 and 67 degrees.  Any you guessed it:  no EMF fluctuations!

When we returned to this room toward the end of our full investigation, it was 7:05pm.  Sandy said she had sensed someone looking out of one of the windows earlier when she arrived at the house.  Susan felt an energy around D's mother.  Sandy said she heard laughter.  At that point, D's mother was asked to sit in her late husband's recliner chair who had passed away 8 months earlier.  D had photographed numerous orbs near the chair on prior occasions.  She consistently got one large orb that was multifaceted and did not at all look like mere dust.  Susan immediately picked up on the nickname of D's mother.  She also said 'Teddy Bear' and 'Dee Dee'.  No one could connect those words or phrases to anything significant.  I didn't mention it at the time, but 'Dee Dee' is my sister's nickname.  Sandy told us she had sensed D's late father sitting in his recliner chair earlier during the pre-investigation.  Just about then, Brandy announced that her digital recorder batteries went out suddenly.  Hmm

HOMEOWNER INTERVIEW:
D told us her experiences started about 2 years ago when she would hear footsteps in the attic while sitting in the living room.  The attic; however, is merely a crawl space.  Therefore, it would be impossible for a human being to be walking around.  She mentioned that her family has always had paranormal activity happening around them.  She feels her mother attracts spirits.

D said most of the activity seems to be concentrated downstairs in her mother's family room.  She has a set of chimes at the bottom of the stairs that go off from time to time even though there's no breeze to set them in motion.  She told us that 2 days prior, her sister was sitting in her late father's recliner chair and everyone heard a heartbeat coming from above the chair.  D also told us an obnoxious smell came from the cushion of the recliner after her uncle made negative comments about her father.

Sandy then told us she had felt D's father upstairs earlier.  In fact she had felt a lot of energy and had to leave the house a few times.  Then she got the name 'Sissy' which is the nickname of D's sister.  She also told us she had earlier stepped into a cold spot upstairs.  She said that during the pre-investigation, she felt she was taken by the hand and was being led downstairs.  But she didn't follow because we were trying to do a 'silent' pre-investigation without communicating to spirits or each other.  After D called her father to appear in a picture, Sandy said he was off pouting.  We had waited too long.  He wanted to be recognized earlier and was ignored again and again by our team.  During the pre-pre-investigation with Dinah who was filming the experience, Dinah said D's father was very talkative.  He had shown her dice and yes, he did enjoy gambling.  Since we had completed the equipment pre-investigation and the sensitives weren't getting anything, Brandy concluded the investigation at 7:30pm.

CONCLUSION:
We learned two valuable lessons:  1) Don't ignore the spirits for extended periods of time when they insist on being noticed.  It can be viewed as rude and insensitive.  And 2) Don't interrupt the investigation by breaking for a meal and watching part of a football game on TV!   The flow of the investigation is very important.

End of  Sue K.'s investigative report.

Cranberry Lane II                                                                               Jan. 19, 2003

Present: Brandy, Susan, Amy, Sandy (SPIRITS), homeowner, and homeowner's sister, mother, two children and husband.

Shortly after entering the home I got the feeling of someone sitting on the corner of the bed in the master bedroom. This was the foot of the bed on the right hand corner (facing the bed). I got nothing else form the upstairs areas. Susan reported hearing a brief voice upon entering the daughter's bedroom.

In the sitting room downstairs, I got the sensation of many people surrounding us and watching what we did. The energy in the house seemed to be all down here. The homeowner's father then made his presence known by laughing at us. Some family matters were discussed that I will not go into in respect for the privacy of the family. Amy and Brandy reported that they were getting many orbs in the photos they were taking of the room. I kept getting the image of many people going up and down the stairs and that they were a major thoroughfare. It's the same with the upstairs hall.

We had possible movement of a leather dream catcher on a small table at the bottom of the stairs and the area did feel cooler than the sitting room. It should be noted that the homeowner had asked her father on several occasion to give us a sign that he was there, other than appearing as an orb in photos. Which leads us to the two most interesting events of the night.

I asked Amy to take photos of the kitchen-sitting hutch because I felt energy in the corner. She said she got an orb and then someone mentioned they smelled a sweet scent, like floral and honey. As I went up the stairs to check it out, I was hit with the energy of a young woman by the name of Emily. She was in her mid thirties and very confused, sad and lonely. She had no idea where she was or how she had gotten there. Photos taken at this time show an orb on my leg as I communicated with her. Emily left as quickly as she came.

The second and most startling event of the evening happened as I was downstairs talking to the homeowner's sister and mother about personal matters that again I will not go into here. I will say that they were about the father. The rest of the team was upstairs in the living room. Suddenly Susan, Brandy, and Amy were hollering for me to get upstairs NOW. I went up and found them as well as the homeowner standing over a family Bible that was laying in the middle of the living room floor. This Bible sits on a shelf over the couch and has been there forever with no problems. The group was in the living room when the Bible suddenly launched off the shelf. It seemed as if someone had forcibly slapped it down. None of the team or homeowner was near the Bible and the kids and husband were all in their rooms. We tried to duplicate having the Bible land the way it did in several ways but could not get it do so again. I told the homeowner that this was the validation she had asked for from her father.

After taking measurements and several more readings, we closed the investigation and left shortly after

Polaroid 600: Yes

Investigators Present: Brandy Stark, Denise, Sandy, Susan, Amy

Others Present: homeowner, two children, husband, sister, and mother

Upon arriving at the site, Susan felt a presence at the lower floor's right hand window.  I also felt that there was somebody looking out of the left handed window.  I started to feel a bit light headed.

We skipped the pre-investigation for this secondary visit.

Investigation:

Location: Stairwell
EMF:  NO
Other occurrences: Sandy sensed a female entity, curious about what was going on.

Location: Living room
EMF:  NO
Other occurrences: Sandy sensed a male standing next to the doorway.  Sue felt dizzy, and sensed a lot of voices.

Location: Bedroom
EMF:  NO
Other occurrences: This area had a lot of activity last visit, but the furniture inside has been rearranged.  Sandy initially felt somebody sitting on the bed, but the presence faded.  There was no activity here.

Location: Son's room
EMF:  NO
Other occurrences: First sense of homeowner's father, Mr. W.

Location: Daughter's room
EMF:  NO
Other occurrences: Susan thought she heard a voice coming into the room.  Brandy felt as if her hands were very heavy and warm, though no EMF was detected, and temperature did not change.

Location: Downstairs location
EMF:  NO
Other occurrences: Initially, a secondary presence was sensed.  Sandy got the name of "Petey"a young man.  Sue thought he was 15 years old.  There was a temperature spike.  Sandy thought it was a little kid, who was following and watching the team move through the home.

The last year remembered was 1972.  He was from up Northand made it through 7th grade; he was possibly 13 or 14 years old.

He is related to Denise, and comes and goes.
He knows he is deceased, but is lonely, and wants to go home.

"Mr. Bob", homeowners father, then came through.  He said that he knew the child in life, and that he had possibly drown.

Mr. Bob likes the family activities that are going on.  He is glad that the daughters are taking care of their Mother, but he is not happy with the family discussions, which involve a very sensitive family issue.

There was a temperature flux, in which the room temperature moved from 78 to 74 degrees.

When asked about time, "Mr. Bob" answered that there was "no time, only now".

When the homeowner asked her father to produce some stronger phenomena, several teammates saw a light leather dream catcher styled necklace move.  However, the necklace was light enough that it could have caught a draft in order to move.

There was some discussion of a tan and white book, as well.

On the stairwell heading to the main floor, Sandy sensed a woman named "Emily" who simply dropped in.   I, Denise, and Amy, smelled a sweet flowery aroma.  Emily said she was lost, and remembered a train.  We got very little information from her, but several different digital images produced orb images on and around Sandy.  "Emily" was very sad, and confused.  She faded out as abruptly as she "arrived".

In the kitchen breakfast nook, Sandy pointed out an area of activity.  Several very dark orbs appeared not only in the kitchen area, but also in the study/computer area right next to it.

Sandy sensed a presence sitting in the living room; again, through digitals, orb images appeared.

While resting in the living room, Amy was looking at the view screen of her digital camera.  She called to Denise to come and view the images with her.  As Denise approached the area, a large white Bible came off of the bookshelf.  It moved horizontally 63 inches to come to the edge of the couch beneath it, where it bounced and landed face down 95 inches away from where it started.  Denise put the Bible back on the shelf and started to hit the walls, move the couch, etc., to get the book to fall.  It would not.  We could not duplicate the fall.  Homeowner reports the book has not fallen before.  The area is a single floor, which rules out vibrations from stories above or below.  There was no traffic passing by at the time, and the neighborhood is fairly quite, with little traffic outside.

When Denise put the book up on the shelf in an unstable manner, it did fall off the shelf, but it fell directly down onto the couch.

Orb images appear in the area via digital cameras.

Homeowner reports that the book weighs 8 pounds.

The book has not fallen since.

Report of Cranberry Investigation Part 2
February 10th, 2003
Member Attendees:  Amy, Brandy, Sandy, and Susan (Denise - sorta)

By: Amy Rohrsen

Our second investigation of Denise's home proved to be a bit more active then the first time.
Shortly after arriving at the home Sandy immediately picked up on someone staring out one of the windows.  I knew at that moment that the spirits had given us another chance to communicate with them.  We walked into the home and it was obvious that things were different.  Not just that the game wasn't on - and that Dinah wasn't there - it just seemed much more "comforting".  Sandy headed up stairs to use the ladies room and noted a gentleman sitting on Denise's bed.  By the time we made it up there in the investigation he was gone.

We investigated the same rooms that we investigated the first time around, starting in the son's room.  Neither the son's room or the daughter's room yielded anything unusual.  We quickly moved into Denise's room where it seemed that some activity began but then quickly seemed to slip away.  This pulled us downstairs to Denise's mother's sitting room.  It was here that most of the activity began.  Both Susan and Sandy began picking up on a child or teenager.  The signals were broken and contact did not last long.  No sooner had Denise asked for her father (Bob) to come visit us that Sandy began to pick up "company".  I did not register any unusual EMF readings however I was able to get some significant temperature fluctuations.  (76-61)  Images of orbs were also detected on
Brandy's and my digital cameras.

We began to move slowly into Denise's mother's room when we noticed that the small dream catcher on the table near the stairs was swaying every so slightly.  We tried to recreate the occurrence by waving our hands in front of it but could hardly get the same effect.  It was then that Sandy noted that there were many images filing up an down the stairs.  Sandy pointed me in the direction of the pillows on the mother's bed - where I took a photo.  I was able to capture a very tiny orb image.

We began to go up the stairs when Sandy suggested we all concentrate at the dining room table.  I snapped several pictures and, in two of them, well defined orbs appeared.  I made it to the top of the stairs and Sandy was following behind me when she began to be pulled by an entity.  It actually brought her to her knees and began to over power her with a sad emotion.  Sandy almost began sobbing and kept stating that the entity was very sad.  Her name was Emily and she didn't know where she was.  I snapped a photo of Sandy and captured a beautiful orb on her leg. The entity soon released her and the rest of us continued up.  During this experience a very sweet scent was detected moving up the stairs and out into the living room. The scent resembled honey.  (at least to me)

We closed the investigation (or so we thought) and then departed back to the living room to begin packing up our equipment and to briefly "download" what we had all experienced.  Sandy moved back downstairs to be with the family.  As we were sitting their talking normally and bible flew from the shelf above my head and landed on the floor.  We measured it to be 63 inches from the spot the bible sat to the place on the ground it had landed.  Probably the most pronounced form of paranormal activity I have ever experienced.

Cranberry Lane; Parts 1 and 2
Susan's reports

The first time we approached the house at Cranberry Lane there had been a camera crew that had gone in before us. While I felt that there was activity and that there were indeed entities that wanted to communicate, things were not very clear that night. I received little to no EMF or temperature changes in most of the house. The master bedroom yielded the most results as we had temperature fluctuations ranging from the 70's to the single digits. I feel that the energies were stirred up by the first attempt at communications made by the Host of the psychic TV show and as the group disorganized to eat, and finish watching a championship football game things became foggy at best. After several attempts at communication even the sensitives were getting very little. We disbanded and decided to try again at a later date.

This second visit to Cranberry Lane was very efficient and I feel produced some of the most remarkable results thus far. The energies in the master bedroom, now rearranged, had settled down immensely. There were some mild EMF readings in the daughter's room but most of the activity took place in the main living quarters of the home. In the downstairs sitting room, where D's mother lives currently, we were able to capture several orbs on both conventional 35 mm film and digital camera. The communication with the sensitives was very accurate as verifiable by the family. One of our sensitives was able to communicate with a very sad entity named "Eve" who I believe showed up as an orb on a few images. The most impressive occurrence was while several members were in the living room. As we were reviewing digital pictures, with no other movement in the room, a very large book was forcefully projected off of a shelf above the sofa. It landed about 95" from it's original resting place. Ironically, the homeowner had just moments before asked "Dad" to stop playing around and show us something tangible. Also ironic, the book was the family bible.
