For the first report of the New Year, the SPIRITS dove into our backlog of archives to pull out an investigation from 2005. However, it keeps with the holiday traditions that filter through January as the world settles into 2007.
The investigation has a pre-history to it. A friend of a SPIRITS member was afflicted with cancer. When she came to visit his home she picked up an odd presence in the house: an angel. She took a photograph of the room where she sensed it and captured a pink orb and what appeared to be the outline of an angelic being. The SPIRITS site featured it as a poll image shortly thereafter.
To find out more information, the homeowners requested an investigation from the team. Seven arrived at the site, including the photographer of the pink orb. However, it turned out to be a very busy night with some surprises.
Several individuals sensed a “higher level being” in the home. In their independent reports, members mention feeling a form of caring, protective, and calming energy, which may be related to the angelic being. It was not a strong manifestation for our investigation, but it was still felt by those present.
There was a lot of emotional energy in the house. One sensitive also picked up on the feeling of “cancer” (no one but the contact knew of the homeowner’s cancer at this point), which was initially attributed to someone close to the family. There was a dark residue energy in the kitchen which some speculated was a result of negative discussions, or fear. Later, after learning of the cancer, some speculated that it might have been the result of the homeowner’s fears manifesting in part of the home.
The more active entities that night, however, proved to be a little boy named “Andy” who created cold spots for the SPIRITS team. He also registered as EMF on one recording in the same area that the sensitives pointed out. During the group discussion, another teammate mentioned that Andy liked to bother the dogs. As if on cue, the dogs, which were crated for the investigation, began to growl and whine.
“Andy” was the entity that the homeowners, particularly the wife, had called us in to investigate. He also played pranks and could, according to homeowners, move small items. To test this, the SPIRITS placed a tennis ball, a key chain, and an earring on the table and asked Andy to move them. Sensitives reported that he did try but grew frustrated when he could not achieve any motion.
At that point, a second male entity, possibly a drop in, made himself known. A lurker in doorways, he did communicate with the group. He gave the name “Ronald Evans” and manifested in a uniform. He said that he was a private in the Army during World War II, had a wife named Betty or Bonnie, and died in 1958. After the investigation, the homeowners, who had taken notes, sent us a most unusual finding. They found an online entry for a “Ronald Evans” who had died in 1958. He was born in 1938, so was alive during World War II but obviously did not serve in the army. No mention was made of a wife, but the tie-in with the name and date was a powerful testimony to his existence.
Since the investigation, the homeowner afflicted with cancer has died. An article on his life was published in the newspaper and his funeral was well attended. His family, and friends of the family, reported sensing his presence several times over the ensuing weeks after his death. The house where the investigation was done has subsequently been sold. The wife did attempt to contact the SPIRITS for an investigation but the notification came too late; we could not return before the new homeowners claimed the property. However, no reports have come forth from either the family or the new homeowners.

At 7:15 we split into two groups of four for our silent walk through. the first room we entered was the study/ computer room,
consistent temp of 80 degrees in the room as well as a 2.0 for the emf with no spikes noted. the room felt neutral to me and i got no
specific impressions only that it was lived in. in the bathroom temp also 80 degrees and 2.6 for the emf, again no specific impressions. we
continued on into the back bedroom the temp was 81 however seemed to feel cooler to the skin.and I felt no specific impressions, at this
time we went into the living room and again had consistent temp and emf readings.at this point I sat down on the couch and I began
toget flooded with impressions centering around the homeowners, I felt that an older woman who was connected to one of them in some came through briefly just to "look in on things". and her name was Margaret. then immediately I felt someone that was close to the
homeowners had or has cancer and it was affecting them emotionally, I felt insecurity and hurt very strongly but yet another presence was
there that felt very warm, peaceful and comforting. also another male energy that was familiar with the male homeowner wanted me to tell him hello and I feel like he said his name was Gary.throughout the front sitting room the temp was jumping from 79-81 degrees with emf spikes at the back of the couch. as we went into the dining room and the master bedroom temps and emf were consistent and I felt no specific impressions in either room, and noted no unusual activity from the master bathroom or the walk in closet, however noted several orbs appear in photos that I had taken which may or may not be considered spiritual energy. we then concluded in the kitchen and regrouped in the living room with the other members of the group and the homeowners to discuss findings and impressions we had received on the walk through. also at that time an evp was attempted to verify communication with the energy of a small male child that several members and the female homeowner was sensing, whose name was Andy. this concludes my portion of report.

Seven SPIRITS members, and one non-member were present for the investigation. We split into 2 groups. I was with Scott, Amy, and Diana the non-member. We started in the master bedroom where we got no EMF. Diana said that she felt something in the bathroom, but couldn't describe what it was. Next, we went into the family room. Scott felt the presence of a small boy with dark blond hair. He got the name Andy, and the year 1978. He said that he was in the corner behind the couch. I took a picture of the corner, and got an orb in the shot. We went through the rest of the house, and got very little EMF anywhere, and Scott wasn't picking up anything else. We met with the other members for our meeting. Our group reported the little boy. Cathy, from the other group, felt the presence of an older woman named Margaret, who was related to the female homeowner. She also felt that someone had cancer. Chris sensed an older woman also, who checks up on the place. He said that there's a man there also, who likes to annoy the dogs and move things. Denise said that she felt a higher entity there, not a human one. As we were talking, someone said that the little boy was among us. Scott, Denise, and the female homeowner could all sense him. We put down the EMF meter, and the digital recorders and asked him questions. The EMF was spiking while we were questioning him, and he was very playful. I took pictures during this conversation, and got several with orbs. The boy referred to the homeowners as Mommy and Daddy. He said that he likes to sit on Daddy's lap and watch football. Some of the questions that we asked seemed to confuse him. When asked when he died, Diana heard him say that he hadn't been born yet. Someone said that he said he likes to play ball, so we got a tennis ball and put it on the coffee table, and asked if he could move it. The sensitives said that they could all see him trying to push it, and kick it. He got very frustrated. We gave him some keys instead. He liked the keychain, but couldn't seem to move it either. All the time that we were talking to the boy, several team members said that the older man was lurking in the doorway and watching us. We asked the boy if he would go into another room so that we could talk to the man. Scott said that the man's name was Ronald Evans, and that he was in a uniform. The man said that he was a private in the Army in WW2. He had a wife named Betty or Bonnie. He gave the date 1958. Meanwhile, Chris was standing apart from the group, and said that he was sensing a heavy presence, not like an entity, but like a dark cloud. He said that it was pressing on him, and he didn't know what it was. Denise and Scott joined him, and they felt it also. At this point, the homeowners told us their story of what had been going on in the house. They told us that the male homeowner had cancer, and was being treated for it. Denise and the other sensitives said that the heavy pressure that they felt was like a cloud of anxiety and fear about the illness. The homeowners knew about the young boy. They felt him there often. The older man, they weren't sure who that could be. After the investigation, I checked my photos, and got 5 with orbs. I listened to the digital recordings of the question and answer sessions, and got no EVP's. Another interesting night for the SPIRITS.

This was my first investigation. I was there mainly as an observer and as a 'test' to see how I would fit into the group. The only 'equipment' I brought along was a simple compass, which I thought might register magnetic fluctuations.
There were 8 of us present. Once inside, we divided up into two groups of four. The group I was in started in the master bedroom, which included a bathroom and a walk-in closet. Both groups scanned the entire house and the back yard. During the search with my group, my compass always pointed north, something I did not expect, especially when it was near electronic equipment or metal. (It is usually very susceptible to false readings in the presence of those things.) I did not sense anything unusual during the entire search, except a short sense of fear in the master bedroom bathroom. That is usually my signal that something unseen is there.
When the group came together to discuss their findings, things started happening. When
Scott mentioned seeing a young, blond boy in the living room, others confirmed this and the EMF readers started going up. The boy (Andy) had apparently joined us in the family room. I was amazed at the psychic sensibilities and skills of the group. My main contribution came after Denise asked Andy when he had died, then Scott said that Andy appeared confused by that question. I distinctly heard the voice-in-my-head say, "Of course I'm not dead. I haven't been born yet." It was my voice, but rather childish and sassy in character. I assumed it was my natural sarcastic response, but I shared it with the group anyway. Right after I said it, the EMF readings took a sharp drop. I felt like I had said entirely the wrong thing and had offended Andy, but later the lady of the house told us that she had had 3 miscarriages. I think by the end of the session, it was generally accepted that Andy was the couple's unborn child.
Others in the group sensed a two other entities in the family room and kitchen that night, but I had no sense of them.
I will be very interested to hear and/or see if anything showed up in the photos or on tape from this investigation.

Cathy: residual energy. Older female with one of the homeowners; Margaret? Family has cancer in the family, brother of male homeowner here. "Gary said to say hello".
Chris: Older woman, checking up on place, comes through, 1 or 2 gentlemen. He moves very fast, he always annoys the dogs (Note: as Chris said this, the dogs started to growl and whine). Catches glimpses of him as he move things. He won't give his name.
Jeanne: No EMF; blonde boy (light brown hair) Andy Collins (in corner). Notes for Scott.
Amy: didn't pick up a lot; behind dining room table (Child).
Scott, a child of 6, 7, or 8 years old, blue shirt, dirty blonde hair, tan. He was there briefly, EMF caught him. Nothing, temperature consistent.
Dianne, MA bedroom, bathroom sensed something was there.
Denise, Male energy, higher energy here, gentleness, comfort (but didn't want to say more because she is contact).
Brandy: EMF by couch (Scott announced that is where Andy was).
Then, it got colder by me as we talked. Scott said that Andy passed away in 1978. A drowning. Refers to male homeowner as Daddy; as he spoke I noted that the chills on my legs continued. Dogs began to growl and whine.
We tried an EVP at 8:15. My EVP: Nothing but a series of scratch-like sounds. I tested Olympus digital recorder again to verify that it was working and not a malfunction. With the tests, it worked fine. I am not sure what to make of these strange pulses/scratch sounds.
I felt a bit dizzy at 8:20. EMF spikes 1.1 1.6; spikeof 2.0.
Asked about best toy he remembered: Boober the Bear (I felt very cold. Child was standing next to me, then by homeowners).
The child was younger at 4 or 5 years old, not 6 8.
Higher energy being: Denise, Chris and Cathy were working on that. Cathy sensed hurt on an emotional level. Energy on both sides of this hurt.
Andy sleeps between them, with the puppies.
The male figure, Private Ronald Evans, also showed up. He kept saying he was Army 1st Infantry, Air Division, WWII. Poland. He died 1958, was related to New England, Vermont. Woman, nurse, died with him Betty or Bonny.
Andy loved football and watched it with "Daddy".
Sensitives also found a "black feeling" a "dark feeling" in the kitchen.
We didn't do a second walk through, since entities seemed to come to us, and most seemed to be related to the homeowner.
Conclusions:
This was another unique investigation. It is one of the first where the ghosts came to us, rather than us going back to them.
The child spirit is certainly quite active. I could sense the hot and cold as he moved around us; the EMF also fluctuated, growing in strength as we watched it. Amazing. The child could be a relative of the homeowners, possibly a miscarried child.
After the investigation, the homeowners sent us an image of a grave of a "Robert Evans" who died in 1958. He was alive during WWII (born in 1938) but was too young to participate. Not sure if he was in after the war or not. Still, it is a form of validation.
The older woman was possibly an Aunt Margarite, who was related to one of the homeowners.
The angel has been experienced by several in the household, including a visiting SPIRITS member (pre-investigation).
One homeowner, indeed, is battling cancer as one person picked up. The cancer is probably the dark energy that was sensed, as well as the source for emotional tension that was felt by sensitives.
Overall, I'm impressed with the group and the performance. The homeowner was remarkably sensitive as well, and they seemed to work well with the SPIRITS group.

Andy is a sweet little boy who is waiting for his life on Earth to begin. I first saw Andy standing in the corner of the home and his smile was breath taking. He said that he was the son of the home owners and that he remembered playing by the lake. Can the future children we are to have, actually be with us right now? In this case I think it is very possible.
While in the living room, Andy told me he loves to set in his father's lap and watch football. The night we did the hunt there was a game playing and when we turned it on, the male home owner could feel his lap become cold. As we studied the cold spot EMF developed as well.
Until the time when this family will be reunited, Andy watches and waits for his parents. An angel on Earth.
