In keeping with the holiday theme, we’ve chosen to write about an angel filled theater:  the late, great Angel Cabaret.  Though the establishment has closed (the owners moved to the great northwest US), the investigation brings back memories.

The Angel Cabaret received its name after the owners had several encounters with a man with piercing blue eyes.  Both times, the man appeared in strange circumstances.  His mannerisms and physical looks were startling, with strong angular features.  Though both visits were of a mundane nature, they left behind a tangible impression that the participants felt was undoubtedly supernatural.

Strange things started to occur as soon as the Angel Cabaret opened.  One of the most impressive was that a stage light with a stencil of an angel on it continuously turned on of its own accord.  When the stencil was moved from one light to another, the entity turned on only the light hosting the stencil. 

Pens also had a regular habit of disappearing.  While the SPIRITS did the first investigation, one member distinctly remembered placing her pen at a specific location only to have it vanish and show up in an entirely different room.

The Angel Cabaret had continued manifestations between investigations, including:  

*Pens continued to disappear
*Dee-Etta, co-owner of the theatre, came into the room during a dinner and saw a mist-like fog covering the top half of the room; no one else seemed to notice it and it vanished quickly.
*Theater Asst., Stephen, says he walked through an entity in the area, on more than one occasion.
* Stephen also walked in on a “party” going on in the dining room, which promptly vanished.

As with the original investigation, those associated with the theatre brought their own entities with them.  Through out the investigation, sensitives continued to pick up a male named “John” who was upstairs in the props room who had died by drowning.  Several people felt his presence.  One woman felt her hair pulled, several complained of dizziness upstairs, and at least one person felt a cold chill run past her.  However, this entity would not cooperate with the SPIRITS.  Through sensitives, he claimed to be afraid of the team, appeared to be confused why he was there, and he continually ran away from us as we attempted to contact him.  

We originally believed he was attached to Jimmy, the Cabaret owner.  However, it was Jimmy's friend, Jay, who spoke up.  Originally there to observe the investigation, he told the SPIRITS that he had an acquaintance matching the description sensitives picked up.  The man was named Don.  He drowned in 1968, shortly before his class graduated. 

Perhaps the more dramatic manifestations again took place in the lobby.  Throughout the investigation, multiple bright white orb images were captured in the seating area outside the main theater.  A variety of cameras, from digital to 35 mm film, captured the images.  They also appeared at random through the first and second walk thoughts of the theatre and it moved about the room.  At least one sensitive believed that the entity was an angel, which would be completely apropos with the theatre’s décor.

While we are sorry that the Angel Cabaret has closed, we certainly value the knowledge we derived from both investigations.  Perhaps the angels have moved with their friends to Denver, but he SPIRITS may need to do a bit of investigating to see who is in the building now and determine if activity continues.  After all, the tri-county area can never have too many angels in its midst.

Date of Investigation - July 29, 2004

2 Days before the Blue Moon

Spirit members present at investigation: Brandy, Linda, Denise, Jeanne, Zsolt,
and I

Team members in my group: Linda, Jeanne, and myself

We started in the back of the building and worked our way to the front.In
Dressing Room #2 Thermometer read 81 degrees. No weird feelings in this room.
Went to 82 in the left corner opposite door. Don't think that was anything
though.

Hallway between dressing rooms- 80 degrees, nothing happened in here.

Dressing room #1- temp between 78-79 degrees. Nothing unusal here

Behind the stage- Temp was 86 degrees, Did not like being back there at all,
could have been just the dark cramped area but I was relieved to get out of
there.

Buffet Room- temp bounced between 77-78 degrees in here. Had a flowery smell in
here. Could have been cleaning supplies but I'm not sure. On the second walk
through I did have a few temp reading of around 80-81 in some spots.

Kitchen- as 84 degrees, Nothing unusal here

Prep area of kitchen- 81 degress

Kitchen bathroom- 83 degrees, nothing unusual feeling there

Upstairs area- Expeirenced an anxious feeling while walking up the stairs. kinda
felt like i didnt belong there. at the top of the stairs the temp read 91
degrees. I think normal for an upstairs in florida.

1st Closet area- 87 degrees, nothing strange in here

Tape and music room- 84 degress, Linda felt something pull her hair

Main Costume storage area- I had a real uneasy feeling walking around the
costumes. Mainly in the back left corner and about the center area of the
costume racks. Real creepy feeling in the back. While i was standing by the
center it felt like something brushed against my shoulder. No clothes we near me
to touch me.

Sewing area- Read 93 degrees

Tool area- 88-91 degrees

Room with Doors stored- 87 degrees in back 91 degrees in front

Downstairs bathrooms- smelt the flowery smell again as I walked towards the
bathrooms, Men's read 79 in temp. Women's read 78.

Dining area, 74-75 degrees mainly in all areas. Up but front table had temp jump
to 81-84 degrees. Had a very odd feeling stading in front of the stage.

In the dinging area and lobby pictures were coming out horrible een with the
lights on and the flash they were coming out very dark. Denise sensed an angel
in the lobby and someone following her by the bathroom. She also sensed
something watching in the dining room.
Linda said she expeirenced a creepy feeling right before entering the sewing
area upstairs. She also had a feeling by the stage area expect she felt
exceitment. Around the front of the stage and on the ramp. I felt a dizzy
feeling standing by the costumes upstairs. It felt like things were closing in
on me.
While we gathered in the dining room to talk Denise had the name John. Dies in
the 60's by drowning. She also had a very peaceful feeling in the lobby. I also
felt very peaceful and relaxed in that room.
To wrap it up. I believe there is an angel watching over the owners. And that
there is possibly a spirit residing in the upstairs area. Though from what I
gathered from Denise. He was unsure what he was doing there and was very
frighten of us and would not cooperate with the investigation. After listening
to Denise speak about him and to him. I became very sad and tired. I would say
he's definately a lost soul.

Brandy's report

Notes:  2 days before Blue Moon; thunderstorm active outside building.

Present:  Brandy, Avri Zsolt, Linda, Jeanne, Denise
Others:  Jimmy and Dee Etta, Elinor Cindy and Jay.

Split into two teams initially:  A:  Linda, Avri Jeanne, B:  Denise, Brandy, Zsolt.

First walk through:
Lobby:
78 degrees
Chills on legs, twice.

Foyer:  75 degrees
Note:  Ceiling has white areas that might show up as mist on images

Dining area:  78-80 degrees:  Chills on legs
Dizzy in booth, chills on legs
Compass acting up as it went over tables; we determined it was reacting to metal present.
Owner was speaking with us; left to answer phone.  Noted that 4 phones went off at once  box office phone and 3 cell phones in lobby (probably belonging to SPIRITS).

Bathroom:  81-82 degrees

Buffet area:  81 degrees
Mirror notes in area.

Storage Room:
80 degrees
0 EMF reported

Upstairs:  89 degrees
Dizzy near clothes.
4 storage rooms explored:
1)Food storage area; 93 degrees
2)2)  storage:  86 degrees; air handler
3)3)  89-90 degrees; prop storage
4)4)  Paint storage:  88 degrees

Downstairs: 
Dressing rooms:  up to 2.0 EMF on 0  100 scale.
83 degrees
Burst of static emitted from walkie talkie; called owner, who said they should be off, but it was possible that someone forgot to shut it down.  Determined that static bursts coincided with camera shots; reacting to portable cameras.

Backstage:  0 EMF, no temp reading taken
Stage:  same.

Group discussion. 
We met back in the dining room, near the booth and door area.  Jimmy and his group were settled near us listening, but not contributing to the comments.

Denise:  May have captured some pictures of orbs.
--She felt she was being followed by someone from the restrooms. 
--While we were waiting to start, she aw an angel out in the lobby, near the ceiling.  Blonde, long hair, female face, wings, and white energy all around her.  Most beautiful thing she had experienced.
--Felt watched in the dining room.
--Felt and imprint of an old man who watches the shows in dingingroom
--Sensed a young man who died; attached to Jimmy; named John.  He drowned. 
Upstairs:  Nothing except in one of the storage areas.  She felt someone ran away from us.Heard  the name Madylin or Marilynn up front.

Brandy:  Chills, orbs in photos in lobby.  (See above report).

Jeanne:  Nothing, no EMF
She did find a hot spot by a table towards the other end of the dining area; temps went from 74  82 degrees, but was not there upon the groups return to the area.

Zsolt:  Lobby:  Possibly orbs; batteries died.  One EMF spike in dressing rooms

Linda;  Room with tapes upstairs:  someone pulled her hair.  Creepy feelings and headaches on the area of the ramp by the stairs.

Avri:  Upstairs:  Something brushed her shoulders
Bathroom and Buffet area, smelled flowers.

We decided to go back to the storage area upstairs (with Jimmy), the lobby, and the section of the dining room with activity reported.

Lobby area:  Orbs caught by Avri and matched by Brandy's camera (later discovered Denise also captured orbs; each camera varies in intensity for the orb).
Room was quiet this time.  Peaceful.

Upstairs:  Brandy felt dizzy, as did Avri, in the same location. 
Brandy had chills in storage room.
Denise sensed a male entity who was upstairs with us.  She asked Jimmy to come with us as it recognized him and wasn't afraid of him.  It was afraid of us.  Denise determined he kept running away from our group.  He may have committed suicide, was attached to a daughter, and didn't know how or why he was in the theater.  No place felt safe to him.

Returned to lobby:  Denise picked up more info on the person she felt before.  He died in the 1960's, was blondeand drown.   He was an acquaintance; a friend of a friend.

Homeowner discussion:
Jimmy's friend, Jay, spoke up.  The friend Denise spoke of was HIS friend, not Jimmy's.  The man was named Don, and drowned in 1968, shortly before his class graduated.  He was a friend of a friend, and his friend had red hair (fair coloring).

Other phenomena that happened in the theater since our last visit:

·Pens still missing and continue to disappear
·Dee-Etta came into the room during a dinner and saw a mist-like fog covering the top half of the room; no one else seemed to notice it and it vanished quickly.
·Theater Asst., Stephen, says he walked through an entity in the area, on more than one occasion.
·Stephen also walked in on a party going on in the dining room, which vanished.
·As we spoke about Steve he called Jimmy (odd timing).

Conclusion:  I find the angelic entity interesting.  It fits with the theme of the theater:  beautiful angels adorn it from stem to stern.  I think it's the first reported angelic manifestation for the SPIRITS team to come quite like that. 

In looking at the images that the SPIRITS have turned in, I find several things interesting.  One, the orbs in the lobby match.  The same bright white orb appears on 3 different cameras in 3 slightly different locations.  I took into account the chandelier and I took many pictures of the lights to see if I could get the orbs to replicate.  I could not.

The clouds of orbs are also odd.  I got one cloud form in the dressing rooms, and two other members got them in the lobby.  Denise told me that this may indicate an angel, as well.  I'd like to get others opinions on the image.  Could it be some sort of strange refraction?

Orbs also appeared where people "sensed" something strange.  Find the repeated orbs upstairs interesting as well as those in the dining room.

The theatre is as peaceful as ever; I look forward to inviting some (living) folks up to see some shows!

Zsolt's report
Well, got a number of orb pics in the lobby, also oneright under the picture of the angel / cherub in the mini-hallway next to the entrance to the dining area. Don't recall catching any orbs in any other rooms.

An EMF reading in the dining area between the guests and where we sat was the only significant one downstairs. Upstairs there was a strange reading on the green steel beam by the costumes,  but it could have been the material or a wire running thru it.

I don't think that I am a sensitive, I didnt get any chills or strange feelings go thru me. I enjoyed the adventure just the same tho'.

Jeanne's Report:
This was my second investigation of the Angel Cabaret. Our six members divided into two groups of three.  My group started in the back of the theatre. We went through two dressing rooms, the kitchen, the buffet line, the bathrooms, and behind the stage. We got no unusual EMF or temperature readings in any of these areas. We went upstairs next, and in a large closet Linda felt like someone pulled her hair. Then we checked the costume racks, the sewing area, and the two dressing rooms, and found no unusual readings in any of them. We went back downstairs, and went through the dining room. Near one table in the front of the theatre, we felt a hot spot. We got a temperature reading of 81 degrees. No EMF there, though. We finished up in the lobby and front office. Both groups then met in the dining room. By this time, a thunderstorm had started, and was getting pretty loud. We all discussed our findings. Denise had captured several orb images on a digital camera. She also saw an angel image in the lobby near the ceiling. She said that she felt like she was being watched through some of the investigation. She felt an older man's presence in the dining room. She said that he likes to watch the shows there. She also felt a younger man there who seemed to be related to someone at the theatre. She said that Jimmy, the owner, had a strong energy around him, like his guides or angels.  Upstairs, she caught a glimpse of someone run across a room. She said that someone seemed to be hiding up there. Avri said that she had felt someone brush against her shoulder upstairs. She also noticed a flowery smell in the buffet room. Brandy had felt chills on her legs in the lobby, and captured an orb image there.  Zsolt said that he had camera problems in the dining room, but got some orb images in the lobby. We decided to re-check the lobby, and upstairs. In the lobby, I took 35mm pictures. Several people got orb images up near the ceiling on digital cameras. Upstairs, Denise sensed someone there who was afraid of us. He seemed to be running and hiding.  Back down in the dining room, we talked with the staff about their experiences since our last visit.  When I got my photos developed, I got an orb image in the lobby near the ceiling.  Also, I got one photo with a bright orb in the dining room near the table where we had felt the hot spot.

On ramp at right of stage in dining room I just had the feeling of a lot of movement, promenading is the word that comes to mind.
Denise was picking up lots of info revolving around owner and friends present.
