Dirty clothes strewn on the floor, unclean dishes in the sink, milk drunk from the carton:  these are a few signs of a bad house guest.  What happens, though, when the disturbing party is not a part of the mortal realm, but remains the source of disruption?  That is when the SPIRITS of St. Petersburg  are called in to investigate.

An apartment in Tampa is our focus this month.  The two young women who dwell within live varied hectic lives, but have one thing in common:  the sense that they are not alone.

The first clues to the phenomena began when both ladies experienced a series of paralysis dreams during a multi-week period.  Paralysis dreams are classified by scientists as biological; certain areas of the brain experience internal pressure during sleep, causing the participant to feel alert mentally, even awake, but unable to move physically for short periods of time. 

In paranormal investigation, however, dreams are but one way in which entities can attempt communications with the living.  Even the most ancient ghost stories record the dream state as containing messages from the dead.  Many modern investigations include inquiries into unusual dreams, as part of the alpha brainwave state, with homeowners across the world reporting possible supernatural intrusions during sleep.

In conjunction with the strange dreams, one roommate reported finding a simple "hi" scrawled on a steamed mirror as she exited the shower.  She hastily wiped it off.  Another time, she emerged to find water pouring from the sink faucet, though she had not turned it on.

The household pets, both cats, also appeared on several occasions to chase or follow something invisible through the area. 

While setting up for the investigation phenomena began; one SPIRITS teammate felt chills on her legs while another reported intense pressure in her ears. 

Several members recorded roving cold and hot spots.  One cold spot lead to a master bedroom, where temperatures dropped nearly 10 degrees.  The second temperature fluctuation was in the bathroom where a condensed area registering 15 degrees above normal room temperature, traveled around this section.

All involved in the investigation began to pick up a disorienting sensation, which some likened to drunkenness.  One woman felt a young male presence staggering from the bathroom to the bedroom.   One person got messages of "I can, I can, I can." 

The SPIRITS attempted an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recording in the master bedroom.  The assembled group heard, and recorded, a very strange yowling sound.  It appeared to come from the room itself and sounded similar to a baby's cry, or a cat's howl, though the roommates report no children or other animals in the area.  Several people felt it was an unearthly sound, unmatched by anything heard before.

During the interview, the SPIRITS learned that one roommate had known a young man several years before.  He had become addicted to heroin, but went through treatment.  His motto was "I CAN beat this."  However, the addiction was too strong for him, and he succumbed to a drug overdose.  As we waited, the woman confirmed through phone calls to mutual friends, that he had felt very strongly for her. 

Several sensitives believe that it is he who has, somehow, found and followed her to the apartment.  The area, itself, may be conducive to supernatural entities; later research revealed that several other families in the building report possible supernatural phenomena.

This raises interesting questions:  How would death through drug use, which creates an altered state of mind, affect death and the afterlife experience as altered states of existence?  Is this entity crying out for the help it could not find in life, or is he trying to find comfort with someone he regarded as a friend in the afterlife?

Denise S.:

Wow!  This is how I would explain this investigation.  I experienced many new feelings

and obtained some interesting information.   Once I walked into the apartment I heard the word

"Negative" over and over again.  I did not think it meant negative as in mean or violent, but

instead sad and overwhelming.

Once starting I felt chilled on the inside as if someone was trying to communicate with

me.  My body temperature dropped almost ten degrees.  I sensed a young white male in his early

twenties.  He was approximately 5'10" and had brown to dirty brown hair.  He would follow us

around during the investigation.  I sensed he had the attitude of "Catch me if you can."  He was

some what cocky, but not in a mean way.

When in one of the bedroom closets, we attempted to make contact with him and retrieve

an EVP reading.  I again sensed him standing there watching us and being bewildered on what

was going on.  He was communicating with us until we asked if he knew he had died.  His

presence immediately disappeared.

We then entered into another bedroom and once inside the closet I felt as if the male

presence had returned.  He was standing in the corner of the bedroom watching us.  While there,

I began feeling as if I was watching how he died or how some other  young white male died.  To

me it was as if he was reenacting his death and the scene I was watching was what he was trying

to get me to see.

I  felt the male intity was in a bathroom and began staggering out into the bedroom.

When he reached the bathroom doorway he wobbled back and forth against the door frame and

then staggered into the bedroom and fell to the ground.  I felt drugged as if drugs were the cause

of his actions not alcohol.  I believe the male had an accidental drug overdose and died. 

Before leaving the room Susan felt as if  her cheeks were getting numb.  She then stated

that we needed to try automatic writing.  After two interrupted attempts we made contact with an

intity that stated he would talk with us.  I kept hearing and writing the words "I can, I can."  A

third interruption stopped our communication.

Some comments made by Sandy were that she felt a peeping tom sensation as if someone

was looking in the apartment.  She felt heavy sensations  and experienced an older male's

presence.   Susan felt light headed and asked if anyone had been missing a wallet or keys.  Susan

stated a male presence was saying "I am hiding.".  She also connected  with an older woman by

the name of Rosa or Rose. 

When Susan experienced the numbness in her face, her body temperature fluctuated from

the 70's -80's.  Numerous orbs were retrieved from both my digital camera and my 35 mm.  The

orbs are consistent with where we felt the intities.  I do believe there is a lot of spiritual

connections with this apartment complex, both inside the apartment and out.  There was at least

three separate intities believed to be in the apartment.  Several of them do not seem to interested

in leaving.

Report of North Himes Investigation

December 7, 2002

Arriving at the apartment I felt a strong connection to both Aja and Melissa.  Throughout the entire evening I continued to have a feeling that I knew them from somewhere  but couldn't place it.  I felt very comfortable in the residence  not the normal feeling of being a little uneasy being in a stranger's home.  This feeling stuck with me throughout the investigation.

The investigation started after a quick introduction to the two other residents  two cats.  One was a Persian who seemed interested in what we were doing  but for the most part stayed out of our way.  (He did end up in a few photos)

After proper introductions we readied our equipment and took a short meditation break to clear ourselves from the previous dinner/member meeting.  It was after this that we moved out on to the balcony three at a time.  Sandy, Susan and Denise ventured out first. Sandy picked up on a peeping tom  someone watching the apartment.  It was later noted by Aja and Melissa that they keep the blinds drawn all of the time because they feel that someone is watching them.  They did not, however, register any unusual EMF while on the balcony.  Once they concluded their investigation of the balcony Brandy, Sue and myself headed out.  Brandy was drawn to the outside storage closet (where the Persian was hiding)  and took several photos.  While standing out there she registered several caution spikes.  Coming very quickly.  I did not register any unusual EMF  and temperature readings were normal. 

We then moved into the area just inside the balcony doors where the computer was  there were no unusual EMF readings.  The first group was now over by the pass through portion of the kitchen and it was here that Susan began to get an earache.  Our group slowly moved around the living room  paying close attention to the corners after Denise and Sandy both mentioned possible activity "hiding" in the corners.  Several times they mentioned that the entity was playing "hard to get" and found it pretty darn funny that we were trying to find them.  I did not register any unusual EMF in the living room however when Brandy and I made it over to the pass through kitchen (very close to where Susan experienced the ear ache) we both registered a caution reading at the same time.  Other than this I did not experience any other unusual EMF readings in this area. 

The kitchen did not produce anything unusual.  I noted that the cabinets reflected a lot of light while taking photos.

We then moved into the hallway and the bathroom.  I noted a few quick caution spikes and as we moved into Melissa's room Brandy immediately felt a cold spot  I hit it with my infrared thermometer and found my lowest reading at 65.5 degrees  whereas the rest of the room was closer to 71.  Almost immediately after I registered the low temp  the cool spot seemed to go around me.  (I was kneeling down to take the reading) We quickly announced to the other group that the cool spot was moving out into the area in front of the front door.  Almost immediately they were responding with "we found it!"  they were all ready "locked on it".  It was then that it dissipated.  We looked around Melissa's room for a bit. I did not register anything unusual.

  We moved into the hallway leading to Aja's room.  Brandy and I both registered several caution spikes  making sure not to point at the circuit breaker box located near by.  I noticed Sue's meter registered one caution spike.  Brandy also registered several caution spikes in Aja's room.  Once in Aja's room I was drawn to the bathroom  almost as soon as I opened the door I heard three quick knocks in the bathtub.  (As if one had literally knocked on the side of the tub)  I asked Aja if she has heard that before.  She mentioned that the plumbing will knock  but it's a deeper sound coming from inside the wall  not from the tub itself.  I was unable to find anything unusual in the bathroom.

We moved back into Melissa's room where we attempted some automatic handwriting with Denise.  The first two attempts were immediately interrupted by the phone ringing. The third attempt yielded a few results  before AGAIN the phone rang.  Then we heard a howling outside of the window.  Shortly thereafter we heard sirens  is that what we heard?  It sounded to deep to by sirens.  It was thought that there was an entity here that seemed "intoxicated" in some way.   We later found out that one of Melissa's good friends (Matt) had recently passed on due to a drug overdose.  One photo I took in the room produced a small orb over the window. 

We then went outside to go investigate the tree outside of their balcony.  We were all drawn to this tree and wanted to investigate it more closely.  On my way down the steps I was drawn to take a very quick snapshot over the parking lot as if something had said to me  "Hey over here!" in my head.  I didn't think anything of that shot  until I was going through everything  it had produced a RAIN of orbs.  We investigated the tree thoroughly  I was able to capture a TINY orb next to it.  One of my photos produced a false positive.  I thought I had caught a face in the second floor window  but after further investigation found it to be the ceiling fan.  Also I noticed that in several of my photos looking back up at their third floor balcony produced two tiny eyes reflecting back at me.  None other than those belonging to the Persian kitty!

After returning to the apartment we closed our investigation with the interview with Aja and Melissa.  Again  as I sat there listening to them tell their stories I felt as if I had known them from somewhere.  Or there was a connection.  During the discussions one of their cats began to play frantically with a cat toy.  An action that apparently is rare.  It was also apparent that as we all sat there finishing up  our energy literally drained out of us.  Not only due to the long evening and the earlier dinner/meeting  but from the investigation.  It was confirmed the next day when we all expressed fatigue  headaches or otherwise difference of energy. 

I personally believe that there are several different entities surrounding Melissa and Aja's home, not just the ones we encountered inside.  In my opinion  its not unusual for entities to gravitate towards those that are full of life  as Melissa and Aja are  so I am not surprised to feel that they are here.  There is also a pretty good chance that one of these entities is someone known to Melissa and who thought very fondly of her.   He (Matt) obviously does not want to be far from her.

N Himes Paranormal Investigation

on Saturday, December 7, 2002:

We began our investigation of this apartment at 7:45pm by convening in the living room/dining room.  Because we were a team of 6 investigators, the group broke up into 2 teams.  One team consisted of:  Susan, Sandy, and Denise the sensitives of the evening's overall investigative team.  The other team consisted of 3 non-sensitive investigators:  Brandy, Amy, and myself.

BALCONY:

While the other team began on the balcony, I took some notes of what was said.  Sandy felt heavy and asked that a picture be taken of the tree in front of the balcony.  A small orb was spotted in one of the pictures Brandy took of the balcony screen looking toward the tree.  Sandy had a sense of a Peeping Tom looking into the apartment.  During the interview later with the tenants, they verified they have often felt watched by a Peeping Tom.  As a matter of fact, they make sure their blinds are always closed and have recently begun to feel uncomfortable sitting out on the balcony.  Susan mentioned she felt light headed.  She also got the name Frank or Fred (an 'F' name).  Once the first team left the balcony, our team went out there.  I didn't pick up any EMF readings with my E.L.F. EMF reader, but Brandy did receive some spikes with hers.  Brandy felt drawn to the storage area of the balcony and took a number of photos.

LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM:

Next, our team went into the living room.  Susan was standing near the pass-through window to the kitchen.  She mentioned that her right ear started hurting.  Brandy had mentioned she had felt a cold spot on her leg earlier in the living room in the same are before we started our investigation. 

MAIN HALL:

In the hall that connects the living room to the front door, a few of us got an EMF spike to 'caution' in the middle of the wall connected to the kitchen.  Upon investigation, I found a phone plugged into an outlet at the exact spot of the EMF spike.  In the hall, I overheard Denise say she sensed a young male entity.

KITCHEN & MAIN BATHROOM:

We went to both the kitchen and main bathroom next.  I didn't get any EMF readings in either room.

MELISSA'S BEDROOM:

While the other team and tenants were in Aja's bedroom, our team went to Melissa's bedroom.  Brandy felt a cold spot in the hallway leading into Melissa's bedroom.  We found that the bedroom window was open and Melissa closed it.  Again, I found no EMF readings.  The other team finished up in Aja's bedroom and joined us in Melissa's. 

Susan felt heart palpitations when she entered the walk-in closet.  Someone said 'he' died from an overdose of cocaine.  There was a strong feeling that a young man died while disoriented.  It's possible he doesn't realize he's dead.  Susan said he may think he's still having a bad trip and wondering why he can't come out of it.  Susan said she felt chest pains and kept getting 'corners'.  When we interviewed Melissa and Aja afterward, they told us that a neighbor said a man died of a heart attack 5 or 6 months ago in the apartment downstairs.

Susan also sensed an older woman, a grandmother connected to Melissa who was very protective.  She got the name Rose, Rosa or Rosie.  Ironically, my paternal grandmother's name was Roza.  However, she died when she was still in her 20s.  I had been told by a psychic nearly two years ago that she was with me.  I don't know; however, if she is with me often or just at that particular time when the psychic sensed her.  During the interview with Melissa later, she said she had a paternal grandmother named Ruth who died when her father was 10.

AJA'S BEDROOM:

Next our team of Brandy, Amy and myself went into Aja's bedroom.  In the hallway to Aja's bedroom, we took numerous pictures based on Brandy's suggestion and many EMF spikes she picked up with her E.L.F. EMF reader.  I noticed one spike and believe Amy received some on hers.  In Aja's bathroom, Amy heard 3 knocks coming from the tub when she looked in.  One of the tenants told us, from time to time, the pipes knock.  However, when Amy described what she heard, it sounded to the tenant to be different than what she's used to hearing occasionally.

MELISSA'S BEDROOM (Again):

Both teams went back into Melissa's bedroom.  Here, Denise attempted automatic writing.  She wrote and sensed CAL and CAL LA.  She felt a young man might want to make a phone call.  Perhaps to Los Angeles?  I believe the other team mentioned the phone rang twice when they were in this room earlier.  While we were in the room as a large group, the phone rang again.  While Denise was doing the automatic writing, we all heard a howling from outside.  Brandy checked her recorder and found she had caught the howling on it.  Right after we heard the howling, we started hearing police sirens and a helicopter circling overhead.  Sandy felt there was something about the land on which the building stood.  Susan said there had once been a different building located on the land. 

OUTSIDE LANDING:

As a large group, we then went outside to the landing.  I didn't get any EMF readings out there.

DOWNSTAIRS:

We then all went downstairs and walked around part of the building.  Sandy felt there was a person on the balcony of the apartment right below Melissa and Aja's.  She also sensed someone in the balcony doorway of Melissa and Aja's apartment.  Amy said she believes she caught a possible face in the window of the apartment below.  Upon further inspection; however, she believed the image was a ceiling fan.

TENANT INTERVIEW:

After we finished our investigation, the team talked with Melissa and Aja.  Aja told us she once experienced a paralysis dream.  Since then, Melissa has had paralysis dreams on three occasions right after returning from out of town.  On the last occasion, it happened three times in a row.  In these dreams, she feels she's being held down.  Sandy said she believes it unsettles one of the young male spirits when Melissa is gone overnight.  Susan felt he was jealous of Melissa.

Melissa said she talked with a few neighbors to see if they had ever experienced any 'ghostly' phenomenon.  She was told 'not recently'!  Melissa was told that a neighbor's iron keeps plugging itself into the socket.  This neighbor found a big black handprint on the wall after returning from out of town.  I wonder, could it have been made by a careless maintenance worker?  That neighbor also told Melissa that the thermostat lever keeps moving up and down on its own.

Brandy asked Melissa and Aja a number of questions to try to ascertain if they have any psi abilities.  Melissa told us she has had dreams with vivid colors of purple and green.  Susan said she had seen purple earlier during the investigation.  Aja said she has had lucid dreams where she realizes she is dreaming.  Aja also had a premonition of a medical condition that was confirmed a week later.  Aja told us she felt someone stroking her head the previous night.  Sandy told her it was Melissa's grandmother Ruth.

As we were talking with Melissa and Aja, Sandy asked us to take pictures of the front door.  She felt one of the male spirits was standing there listening in on our conversation.  Brandy captured an orb by the door with her digital camera.

Sandy told us she sensed a young man in his early 20's during the investigation.  She felt he unintentionally committed suicide with a drug overdose.  She felt depression and darkness.  At first, she thought he hung himself.  She said he's stuck.  She mentioned chanting 'I can, I can'.  She felt he's trying to break through the fog.  Sandy also sensed another young man in his mid-20s perhaps 23 or 24.  Melissa then told us that her friend Matt died of a drug overdose.  He was interested in Melissa when alive.  The group thought it was possible that his spirit was one of the spirits.  There also appears to be an older man that was picked up in Aja's bedroom by Sandy.  Sandy felt there were also two more spirits that were attached to the land the apartment complex is built on.

CONCLUSION:

This was my first investigation of an apartment rather than a house or hotel.  I was surprised at how many spirits were encountered by the group in such a relatively new apartment complex.  Since Sandy felt some of the spirits were attached to the land, I suppose you never really know where you'll encounter spirits!!

Other unusual or new equipment:  Amy used her new IR thermometer.

Investigators Present:  Brandy, Susan, Sandy, Denise, Sue, Amy

Others Present:  Homeowners Aja, Melissa, cats:  Tesoro, Fedora

Investigation:  Group initially split into two groups, Sue, Brandy and Amy on one, Susan, Sandy and Denise on the other.

Back Porch:

My camera experienced a delay in taking images, as did Amy's.

Sandy sensed an entity that was a peeping tom.  It was a male, and came inside the apartment.

Susan reported feeling lightheaded.  She sensed the entity was Frank, Fred, or Francis.

Brandy got a spike to danger, possibly related to the camera.

Temperature readings were 60 degrees.

Living room:  When the group first arrived, I felt a chill on my legs while sitting in the living room prior to the investigation.

Susan felt an intense ear pressure.

Brandy and Amy both had EMF spikes to caution at the same time in the living room. 

Melissa's bedroom:

Susan felt that the ghost once took cocaine.

Brandy sensed he was a drunk, or died related to a drinking accident.

There was a cold spot in the room of 65 degreees.  It lasted 3 to 5 seconds.  It also moved.

Denise sensed that the entity knew she was a copy, and that it was playing games.  She sensed it was wobbling, a younger man, about 5 feet 10 inches. 

Brandy felt a chill on her leg.

Second trip through Melissa's room:  Denise tried automatic writing.  Several times she asked questions and the phone rang before there was an answer.  These were the only times the phone rang after the investigation started.

Denise wrote "Cala" "Calm", "Can", and repeated phrases "I can can can".

A caution spike was recorded. 

At 8:50 pm an unusual howling sound was heard around the apartment.  It was recorded on Sue's recording device.  I believe, however, it was related to the police sirens heard a few minutes later.  Yet, most of the group felt the sound may have had a paranormal origin.  Both homeowners reported that they had never heard a noise like that before. 

Denise was flushed after her attempt with automatic writing.  She registered 92.5 degrees, where the first temperature readings had her at well within the 80s.

Susan sensed an older woman and the message "look to the corners"she got the name that started with "R"

Bathroom: 

Heat spike recorded up to 81.5 degrees.  It also moved.

Susan had an odd sensation, and likened it to being drunk, and had heart palpitations.

Hallway:  EMF spikes and dizziness recorded.  4 spikes to danger, 5 spikes to caution in hallway on Brandy's EMF.  Amy and Sue also had EMF spikes on their meters.  

Aja's Room:

2 spikes of danger in Aja's room. 

Stairwell:  No EMF

Snapped several images, but no EMF.  Temperature had gotten sufficiently colder.

Outside:

Several sensed something emitted from the trees outside the apt.  Photos taken did not reveal anything, and there was no recorded EMF.

Interview:

Homeowners have experienced:

Unusual dreams:  Yes, both

Lucid dreams:  Aja

Old Hag Syndrome:   Yes, both 

Paralysis Dreams:  Yes, both

Several series of "Old Hag Dreams".Aja was the first to have one.  It was a Saturday, around 4 or 5 pm.  She had just hung up the phone, and felt chills.  Melissa was out of town and she was home alone.  She could not get up or move, and felt someone push her into the bed for about 30 seconds.  She pushed back, so hard that she felt she had knocked over some lamps and fell out of bed.  She "Stood up" and opened her eyes, and for a moment saw a party of people everywhere.   Then she physically woke up and found herself alone.

Melissa returned home.  Two days after Aja's experience, Melissa finished talking to her boyfriend on the phone and fell asleep. She felt an overwhelming evil presence, and pressure on her body.  She couldn't move.  She thought it might be a friend of hers passing through, as an acquaintance named Randy. 

She snapped out of it, and things seemed to settle down.  She fell asleep, and again felt herself freezing up. S he tried to think of her friend's name to tell him that this was making her uncomfortable, but could not remember it.  She asked to see the entity in her mind, and felt that she opened her mind.  She didn't see an entity, but a black moth flying in a side-ways 8 pattern against the wall.  The sensation finally went awak.

The third manifestation took place when she got back from Texas.  Melissa had spoken with me on the phone, and I had told her to imagine white light as a defensive shield around her.   She knew that something was about to happen.  She sensed the strange paralysis, and tried to imagine white light.  She kept her eyes open and felt confident.  The feeling went away.  She fell asleep, and the feeling came back.  She "told" the presence that she wanted to live in peace. 

She saw colors behind her closed eyes:  a kaleidoscope of purple and green, and felt chills.  When the episode ended, she went to sleep in her roommate's room.

SLIder Phenomena:  No

Premonitions:  Aja, possibly, though it may have been a biological reaction.

Reported manifestations:

Shadow figures:  Aja, on the stairs, has seen a shown one time.  She felt as if she was being followed or watched.

Peripheral vision: A and M 

Animals acting strangely:  Cats appear to play with some unseen event.   Melissa witnessed one of the cats follow something around the room, swiping at it.  She tried to find a bug or what the cat was after, but saw nothing.  Then the cat fled the room.

Aja witnessed the other cat sitting in the hall, as if it was interacting with something.  It was unusual because the cat almost always followed her through the house, and for it to stop and stay away from her.

Cold drafts:  No

Cold spots:  No

Apportation of objects:  Lost objects, possibly scattered brained, drivers license lost, credit cards lost.

Full manifestation:  No

Visual confirmation of moving objects:  No

Abnormal Behavior of lights or doors:  Light bulbs burn out rapidly.

Other:   Melissa heard water running when she got out of the shower.  The bathroom faucet was running full blast, though she was alone in the bathroom.  She thought she say "Hi" written on the mirror, but was so panicked that she wiped it off and got out of the bathroom.

Both girls feel like they are being watched on the porch.  They went out there for the first several weeks, but eventually stopped going to the porch at all for the past 3 to 4 months.  During the investigation, however, one of the cats came out on the porch and showed no fear. 

The night before the investigation, Aja reported that she was really upset.  She felt someone stroking her hair in a comforting manner.  When she was sick, earlier in the week, she had the same sensation.  She likened it to her grandmother stoking her hair when she was younger. 

Potential causes:

Any  non-prescription drug use?  No

Any prescription drugs?  No

Drinking at time of manifestations: No; do drink some at home, but rarely.  Usually go out.

Medical conditions:  No

Interview:

During the interview, Brandy, again, felt a chill on her leg.

Sandy read the initial e-mail (a break with normal protocol).  She sensed a young man in his early 20s, tall with dark hair.  He died with a suicide, and it was not intentional.  She sensed a depression and darkness.  Sandy thought he hung himself. 

After the investigation, she felt that this entity was still a young male who died unintentionally, probably on a drug high.  The sensation of wobbling, strange and erratic emotions that she felt, odd colorsshe likened it to a heroine addict, something very strong.  She felt that the entity moved from the bathroom to the bedroom, as he had done in life, where he died. 

Denise seconded that idea with the "I can I can I can" she got through the writing.  Self determined to over come.

Melissa told us she had a friend who died of an overdose.  He was a heroine addict.  He was a friend of a friend, but she had met him.  He was one who believed he could overcome the addiction, though the odds were against him.  He told her that he COULD do it.  He made it through nearly all the program but regressed and died of a high.  He did die.  She got his name confirmed by her friends:  "Matt G."

He also reported likening her a lot.

Sandy talked about a grandmother figure that manifested.  Melissa has a eastern European ancestry.  Brandy noted  that moths are important symbols of the soul to some eastern cultures.   Susan thought it might be Melissa's grandmother present protecting her.  She thinks that Melissa may have psi ability and is attracting entities.  She would be the one comforting  Aja.

There was also a third entity that was sensed as an older man.  The ladies revealed that an older man died in the apt. below them several months ago.  It could be he wandering through. 

Sandy thought that Matt was very attached to Melissa, and gets upset when she leaves because it upsets the routine.  Suggested that Melissa continue to let him know that the paralysis dreams make her uncomfortable and to delineate her own space. 

Results:

During the interview, Sandy sensed an entity near the door. I took three pictures, and captured one orb in the 2nd image.

I caught several orb images, more than I thought I would, on digital.

Denise caught images of multiple orbs:  up to four orbs. 

Conclusions:  The EMF spikes were interesting and seem to indicate that there is something there.  Both homeowners were young.  One is 21 and the other 24.  I suspect that it could be they generate enough energy to attract young entities. 

However, paralysis dreams are not impossibly to have or explain.  It could also be stress related phenomena

Present: Brandy, Sandy, Amy, Denise, Sue, Susan, M and A (homeowners) and 2 pet cats

History:

M and A are two women in their early twenties who both have a history of precognitive dreams.

Activity:

Both report seeing things out of the corner of their eyes but it's never there when they look full on. The water faucets in the home have been known to turn on of their own accord and objects have turned up missing or moved. The family cats often react to things that the girls cannot see and both have reported sleep paralysis on several occasions. They often feel as if they are being watched and both have had their hair stroked in a comforting manner. The activity seems to pick up after M returns home from a trip.

Investigation:

Screen porch: a peeping tom sensation and I feel as if he looks into the apartment from there. The porch is the center kept popping into my head and I felt a great deal of energy coming form the trees beside it.

A's room: Susan picked up an older man who felt as if he had lost something while Denise felt a younger man in the closet. Attempted EVP and when asked if he knew he was dead, the session suddenly ended with him pulling away.

M's room: Felt a younger man leaning against the doorway watching us an din the closet Denise felt as if she were drugged and kept swaying. She saw/felt a young man stumble from the bathroom to the bedroom where he collapsed and died. Attempted automatic writing and Denise kept getting, "I can, I can." Failed EVP attempt in this room.

Living room: Denise picked up a young man and the feeling of "you're not gonna catch me."

Outside: In the vacant apartment below the girls I felt someone standing on the porch looking down at us while an older man paced back and forth in front of the living room windows.

Conclusions:

The young man we picked up is a close friend of M's who died from a drug overdose. In life his motto was "I can beat this." He told M this every time he talked to her. The older man is possibly the downstairs neighbor who died from a heart attack. I feel the activity picks up after M returns because it disrupts the way of things in the house when she's not there. This is the friend of hers who doesn't like it when she's not around. The land itself seems to hold a lot of energy and this may be attractive to entities who seem to roam here.

This particular investigation was very draining as we had a new members meeting the same eveing and many of us were already tired from the long day and drive to the location. 

I began to sense the presence of a young man while going up the stairwell to the apartment.  Once inside I had difficulty trying to center and focus.  This may have been due to fatigue.  We started the investigation in the porch where I felt something that wanted us to stay out there.  I did capture an orb on a digital camera on the porch.  As it turns out, the two girls who live in the apartment had been frightened of the porch some time ago and never set foot out there. 

We moved from the porch to the living room.  I kept being pulled to A's bedroom.  While there both Denise and I picked up the presence of the young man again.  We felt that he was there for some time.  I distinctly heard "I'm watching you" and then laughter.  I belive that the entity was playing a game of hide and seek.  There were also several questionable images in that room captured on both digital and 35mm film.

In M's bedroom I felt the presence of an older, protective woman.  Very grandmotherly.  I sensed the name Rose or Rosa.  M called her parents at that time and found out that her late grandmother's name was Ruth.  For some reason I suggested we try an automatic writing session.  We have never done this and I did not know until after I suggested it that Denise had been working on this very subject for the past several days.  As we started, the phone rang.  We went to center and begin again and the cell phone rang.  We decided to give it one more try.  I asked the entitiy his name and Denise repeatedly "wrote" CAL.  He also kept saying "I can."  After about 3 minutes of questions the phone rang again.  We decided to stop.  Upon that decision everyone present heard a howling sound that came from possibly outside but did not sound like anything that any of us had heard before.  Denise began to sence the entity again very strongly.  All I could feel was a drugged feeling.  I heard "heroin" and "OD" from the area where Denise was getting very dizzy.  My face went numb and my body temperature dropped about 10 degrees.  It was later revealed in the post interview that M did indeed have a young male friend that had od'ed on Heroin some time ago.  He had also repeatedly told people that "I CAN overcome this addiction."

I feel that what ever may be in that home has been there for a while even into the various incarnations that the apartment complex has had.  The young man I feel is looking for some peace.  I do not believe he is aware he died during his 'bad trip.'  I think that M's grandmother is there as a protector and sort of a mentor to her granddaughter. 

This investigation posed an interesting question to me;  IF there is indeed an afterlife and we can be aware of the living after we have passed on what happens if you die when you are under the influence of such as strong substance?  Does that essense that some call spirit, what ever it is that makes us conscious and sentient continue to loop through the drug trip as if it never ends?  Or can the spirit separate itself from the influence of the drug which in its very essence is mind altering?  Interesting points to ponder and a deffinite deterent to drug use.
