Arrived at 9:00 at house in Holiday to investigate a possible presence of negative energy in the home. The household consists of two adults and two male children, one of them a teenager.
We met outside the home and said a prayer for protection from anything negative. Splitting up into two teams, we started at opposite ends of the house and both teams investigated each room and the outside paramaters of the house. After about two hours, we met to discuss our findings with the residents of the home.
Background: Apparently both adults have some untrained physic ability with the father having out of body experiences on a regular basis. Since they have lived in this house, the children have seen unexplained images also. A previous investigation by another team has convinced the adults that a negative energy has followed them from their former residence in another state. The teenage son has been reading books on the occult and black magic trying to figure out what is happening.
Our Findings: None of the investigators felt any negative energy or otherwise uneasy feelings. We did not pick up any abnormally high electromagnetic readings or any significant temperature fluctuations. A couple of the cameras show some orbs. I personally took a total of 38 pictures with a digital camera and one picture had one small orb, other wise nothing unusual. I also had a digital recorder but that too produced nothing unusual
Conclusion: One of the physics in our group feels that the youngest child has a totem that is protecting him. He feels like the images they are seeing is the totem. It was recommended to the adults that they discourage the teenager from involving himself with black magic. It was also recommended that the family find a study group or a physic counselor who could work with them and teach the adults to control their physic ability.

I have to say that when I heard about the Holiday Hunt, I wasn't sure what to expect. We were made aware of this very warm and friendly family by another group of paranormal investigator. They had their findings and we were asked to check out the family's new home in Florida. In general, I found the home very warm and comfortable without any feeling of negativity. I had no interaction with any spirits other then Brandy's protective spirit that decided to fellow her on the hunt.
The strongest being I made contact with was the youngest son's animal totem. He was laying on the floor close to the boy's closet and was facing the bed. He had been with the child since birth and appeared in the form of a wolf or coyote. Basically a very large hairy dog. He wanted the homeowners to know that he was there to protect them and that nothing bad would happen to them. The home owner identified many elements that could be connected to the totem. He claws at the earth to release positive energy, which the family reported hearing. He has been seen by most of the family floating about three feet off the ground. I feel that the totem goes back to the family's tie to Native American and will stay with the family no matter what.

2 homeowners, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 turtle
Homeowners had prior investigations done in AZ. They were told that they were haunted by a demon. SPIRITS discussed the demonic nature of this case; Denise and Brandy discussed more in depth.
Group split into two: Denise, Evie, Brandy, Chris on one team, the rest on the other.
EMF is on 0 – 3 scale unless otherwise noted.
Son’s Room:
Noted books on cults.
EMF .2
Animals not affected (cat in room).
Fees cooler, though registered at a steady 74 degrees on thermometer.
Small EMF spoke (.2 - .8). I asked: Is there anyone there? Another spike from. .2 – 1.0.
Bedroom 2 (other son’s room)
Cool spot, breeze.
Detection of breeze; strings on bow moved. Chills on legs.
3 spikes: .2- 1.0 (20 seconds)
.2 - .8 (22 seconds)
.2 – 1.0 (23 seconds; double spike).
Kitchen

Living room:
10 p.m. Homeowner reports heat. Registered at 96 degrees with IR thermometer
Garage: aroma detected, EMF .4
MA bedroom:

.4, up to .6 but no spikes
Headache, coolness in doorway, room felt unusually hot
Outside: Wires noted around house; owner box outside of garage

Son’s room (Bedroom 1) Cold spot in doorway that crawled across him, then Amy, Mary, Cathy. Felt cold spot moving down the line.
Chris: breeze moved past him in bedroom 1. Felt from top to legs to top.
Bedroom 2: Felt something push through wall where bow is at.
In garage, felt anxious, anxiety, waiting to see somebody, voyeuristic
Mary: felt breeze in bedroom , chest of drawers, garage bothered her with banner. Left hand side of door.
Evie: bedroom 1: temperature started to flux a couple of degrees, camera stopped working; area of coolness; waist level to floor. Didn’t register on thermometer.
Denise: orb in garage and in living room. Blue orb; registering nothing for protection not coming through.
Cathy: not getting anything to a paranormal entity; not say out loud
Amy: bedroom #2: cool breeze and bedroom 1; back bedroom window and clock kin corenr
Brandy: no orbs bedroom 1 and 2, breeze spikes, MA bed – breeze by door.
Went back to bedroom 1 (nothing). Bedroom 2 had a large “animal” in it – son’s guardian. Wolf. Garage: nothing.
Family discussion:
Family moved from AZ to Florida. They had a lot of unusual experiences in AZ and were investigated by another team.
Homeowners report: Unusual dreams, lucid dreams, old hag syndrome, paralysis dreams, animals acting up, shadow figure, peripheral vision manifestation, full manifestations of an entity, cold drafts, PK activity (keys moving, lamp and chips moved in AX), Abnormal behavior of telephones (team believes that it could be the result of the use of cable modems). Loud bangs, explosions, scratches. Footsteps, furniture moving, doors and windows slamming, premonitions.
They did have a cleansing done at another home in AZ; it was calm for two days before acting up.
Discussion: The SPIRITS remained in location until 1:20 a.m., when activity was supposed to begin. Nothing manifested. It is the SPIRITS belief that the youngest son has a very powerful guardian animal with him. The family also has high psi potential. Suggesting keeping son in the loop, but guiding him away from self-research on the occult. Suggest meditation and working to build up protection to prevent this from happening in the future.

Settings: Start of investigation was 9:30 PM. The night was clear with a full moon.
After setting up video cameras and voice recorders, we split into 2 groups, alternating between inside and outside walk-throughs. In bedroom #1 which belonged to the older (teen-aged) boy, several orbs were photographed. It was noticed by investigators that he had a book on cults and some other things that indicated his interest in the occult or at least in the paranormal. In bedroom #2 which belonged to the younger pre-teen boy, all members felt a cool breeze at the door of the room which seemed to extend toward the bed. The air conditioning had been turned off prior to the investigation and there was no ready explanation for this phenomenon. Scott sensed the presence of the boy's animal totem (protective spirit) in the form of a coyote near the dresser. I was also drawn to this area, but the reason was unknown. Denise was drawn to the window in the master bedroom. In the garage I was drawn to the left corner, to an area next to the door. At no time did any of the investigators/senstivies find there to be an dark entities. In fact the house had no ill feelings at all.
After the walk-through, the homeowners stated that there was a possible dark entity that had followed them from their former home in Arizona. It turned out that a paranormal investigation group in Arizona had told them that they had a demon. The husband stated that he had had paranormal experiences since childhood and that he was from a Catholic background. He stated that he had felt that "something was hiding" in the garage where I had been drawn. It was not my impression that there was anything actually there, but what I think was actually occurring was reading his thought process. At no time was I ever ill at ease in the home. The wife confirmed Denise's comment about the window in the master bedroom.
Although I took about 26 pictures in all, only one taken in the older boy's room had an orb in it. Other pictures that looked unusual were only camera phenomena and not paranormal.
The group consensus was that there was no dark entity or demon involved. What was sensed was instead a protective spirit that seemed to focus on the younger child, but who watched over the entire family as well.

In this month’s SPIRITS reminiscence, we have a fairly unusual investigation. A family called us to report that they were haunted by demonic entities. They had been checked by another team prior to coming to the Tampa Bay area who told them of the demons. According to the prior team’s report, the male homeowner was a sensitive and he drew entities through his music, which tended toward the hard rock variety. The family was in a panic as they had sensed movement within their new house; the youngest son had begun to study occult books in an attempt to figure out what was going on in the family. Yet, when the SPIRITS went out to investigate, no demons were discovered. The only spectral animal sensed was a totemic animal, a wolf, reported by the primary SPIRITS sensitive.This is a most unusual find for the SPIRITS, who typically deal with ghosts or spirits. However, during the investigation member reported seeing movement near to a Native American bow hanging on the wall of the son’s bedroom; several noted a cold breeze in the area as well. While the SPIRITS cannot say for certain that this was the haunting, and not suggestion by the decoration, it leads to an interesting study. Many paranormal teams believe that in the spectral realm there are a variety of unusual creatures that appear to interact with the living. A totemic being is just one of those which is described by shamanic religions, psychic sensitives, and other spiritual workers around the world. To further clarify this ideology, the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary lists a totem as “any entity which watches over or assists a group of people, such as a family, clan or tribe.” Unlike modern derivatives of the term, totems do not belong to an individual but guard the whole family group. Often, totems have stories that accompany them and explain their inclusion into the spiritual pantheon.Today, with the advent of the New Age movement, single individuals have chosen to seek their totemic helper, which often is in the form of an animal that has special meaning to them. These spiritual helpers are also called “totems”, though they do not relate to any other practices found within the tribal religions.
