Only the temperature flux and the one spike on the natural EM meter.
5. What technical observations did you note during the investigation? For purposes of categorizing data, please post your first name, followed by your response.
1.Brandy: This was a very interesting investigation, though very few results manifest for our group. I am not sure if it was the mixing of teams, the discomfort of being ill, or the lateness of the event, but the only thing that was observed was the fluctuation of the thermometer. This is fairly unusual for the thermometer, but the temperature flux was not enough (really ranging mostly between 1 degree; only twice did it drop down further to 3 - 4 degrees) for it to be of viable resources. The Natural EM meter went off only one time on the question "Did you travel with us?". It was a short spike, barely registering. Otherwise, neither meter was very useful that night.
2.Beth I noted unusual, rapid, temperature fluctuations of 1 to 4 degrees in the guest room. Sun, 5/11/08 4:44 PM
3.Kimberly: None.
4.Mary: There was none of my own, however, the team did experience temperature fluctuations while in rm 211 as well as one brief EMF tone during an EVP questioning session
6. What sensitive observations did you note during the investigation? For purposes of categorizing data, please post your first name, followed by your response.
Brandy: None. Again, I felt very uncomfortable that night and was not really with the investigation. Had we started on time, without the 2 hour delay, I might have had more observations. The only other information that was new that night was the "US soldier", though that is going to be hard to verify and really could be just suggestion or guesswork. At that time, I think the whole group was rather on edge and tired. The fluctuations of temperature were the only real sensation. At one point, I felt as if I were sitting in an a/c draft. Even after another participant turned off the a/c, the sensation continued so that I had to ask again if they had turned off the a/c. Another participant suggested that I was feeling air from the door. That was most certainly not the case. I know the difference between a breeze coming from a door crack and feeling as if I were sitting in a full blown breeze from the a/c. I did get up to test air currents by the door (nothing) and climbed upon a chair to test the a/c coming from the vents. Neither were emitting air. When I returned to my section of the bed, however, the cold breeze sensation was gone.
2.Beth Feeling of pressure in my chest during the evp session in the 2nd floor hall/stairwell. There was a sensation of a breeze and a chill (goose bumps) on my left arm in the guest room during an evp session. No changes in temperature were shown on the thermometer at this time.
3.Kimberly: Smell of bergamon at the west end of the second floor hallway. During the evp session in room 211, when the question was asked if the WWII soldier was sent there to convalesce, I got such extreme tightness in my chest that I had to leave the room.
4.Mary: While the team was investigating the 2nd floor hallway, I began to get tightness through my shoulders followed soon after by a cold sensation on my right arm and across my back. This happened just before 10 pm and lasted for most of the time we remained in the hall near the stairs. Also I could smell, only by taking deep breaths, a faint scent which only lasted about 60 seconds. Returning to rm 211, I began to get chills while sitting on the bed near to the window. The air conditioning was off, but I could feel a definite cold breeze around my right arm and again across my shoulders.
7. What researched/historical information did you learn about this location? For purposes of categorizing data, please post your first name, followed by your response.
1.Brandy: See prior investigations. The only new information for me was the advent of the US soldiers.
2.Beth The hotel was originally a private residence. At one time it also served as barracks for World War II soldiers.
3.Kimberly: No research.
4.Mary: The hotel began as a boardinghouse and was purchased approximately 1928 by Charles Helt and his wife Elizabeth. It was named Hotel Martha Washington shortly afterward. The hotel underwent several renovations with a major one in 1937. Some years later the hotel was sold and financial troubles began. The hotel went through several owners including the Holiday Inn chain. It is now privately owned. During WWII the hotel was occupied by trainees from the Army Air Corps as were almost all hotels in St Petersburg.
8. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the haunting of this location? Note on scale: 1 represents "no haunting", 5 "moderate haunting" and 10 "extremely haunted"?

9. What issues does the review team need to address with the occupant (homeowner, business owner, resident)? What aspects of the investigation need to be re-addressed, retested, or clarified?
1. I have been to the Heritage several times over the year. The most active I've seen it was in August. However, again, with the late arrival of part of the participants and my own sense of illness (I was sick to my stomach for 3 or 4 days after the investigation) I do not think that it was truly a valid investigation. The EVPs have to be dismissed as there was walking and talking in the hall by other participants and nonparticipants alike. Noises came from above us from other rooms. Video revealed nothing.
2.Research WWII soldiers that may have died at the hotel.
3.The hotel's use during WWII.
4.There is another room reported to be haunted where the team should also try for EVPs.
10. Is there any other information that you would like to add about this investigation? For purposes of categorizing data, please post your first name, followed by your response.
1.Brandy: I would like to return before the conference with just SPIRITS members. I think that the group may work better earlier in the evening and without the stresses of other influences.
2.Kimberly: Morgan's team did get what appears to be an evp of a gentleman identifying himself as "Mike." 3.Mary: This investigation is one that the SPIRITS started almost a year ago. We have also investigated the adjoining restaurant over the same time frame. We did this investigation tonight with a team that we had invited to share hosting responsibility with us for the Florida Ghost Gathering to be held next month. We usually conduct hunts alone and so this was a rather unique situation.
