Some investigations are more memorable than others for a variety of reasons. For the old building on 66th Street, there were moments of strong spiritual contact that are rarely encountered during such group investigations.

Though unmercifully hot, the SPIRITS underwent the investigation without the air conditioning in order to maintain the integrity of the group procedures. At least one member of the team captured an unusual aroma, like a cough drop, while others smelled cigarette smoke. EMF was not particularly unusual for the location, nor were there an abundance of images on photographs, film, or sounds captured on tape. However, the sensitives themselves were quite busy through out the session.

Activity started outside of the building. Upon arrival, several people sensed a fight between two men, one of which was fatally stabbed. The inside of the building included a male entity attracted to women, a woman who died of a cocaine overdose in the ladies room, a cat who roamed the office area, and a few drop-in entities.

The most powerful event, however, was during the collective portion of the investigation. The SPIRITS went to the back of the building where a male entity was sensed. Instead, two female ghosts were strongly drawn to interact with the team. One was a strong dark-haired woman named “Ginger.” She had a dubious past, but liked men. She did not want to work with the female investigators, so the men present attempted an EVP with her. Unfortunately, the results were negative.

The other entity who wanted attention was the woman who died of an overdose. She had quite a moody temperament and was upset at the attention that “Ginger” garnered. The SPIRITS team moved closer to her proximity (the ladies restroom). Sitting in the lobby outside, a most remarkable thing happened: a stream of cold air snaked its way through the group. One sensitive, sitting in the middle of the room, suddenly burst into tears. She was unable to stop the emotions and had to be removed from the area. We learned later that one of the building owners experienced the same thing nearly a year prior to our arrival, and in the same location, though he experienced a visible white mist coming towards him before the emotional outbreak.

The entities present to the SPIRITS were reported by others, or verifiable by research. The man who liked women was possibly a former patron of the establishment who was hit and killed crossing the street right outside the building. His body came to rest just outside the wall to the back of the building where sensitives “felt” him. Others who came through the building also reported seeing the auburn haired lady (“Ginger”). A young man hung out by the pool tables and was spied as a shadow figure by employees.

Oddly, one “standard” entity to the location did not show up for the SPIRITS team. Many years ago, a bookkeeper was killed in the building. The owners often felt her presence, and several oddities were attributed to her. She was not “felt” by any of the SPIRITS team.

YES. My partner was sleeping at the business and dreamt that a man and a dog

were walking toward her from an actual location in the business, she thought

it was "cool" that she finally saw the "ghost" and then realized she was

dreaming and that in fact these entities were coming at her and made herself

wake up. The most unusual part of this was that she dreamt that she was in

the business (which she was), and that she was sleeping on the couch (which

she was) and that the two were coming at her while she was sleeping on the

couch.

*Old Hag Syndrome: The sensation of feeling held down and suffocated by an

entity, usually during times of rest or sleep. Often, this "entity"

manifests as an old woman, or "hag," and is a menacing presence. This is a

type of paralysis dream and may or may not be related to the paranormal

phenomena experienced in an area.

*Paralysis Dreams: One wakes up, but cannot move for a period of time.

This may be related to chemical imbalances or pressure in the brain.

*If animals are in the vicinity, have they been observed acting strangely?

Animals often posses instincts and abilities more in tune with their

surroundings. Have you noticed your pet having abnormal behavior, such as

suddenly becoming aggressive, fearful, or agitated? Does your pet lick the

air, follow unseen movement with its eyes, or track something you cannot

see?

*Seeing a shadow/shadowy figure (s)?

*Peripheral vision manifestations? Do you see movements out of the corner of

your eye, turn to look and find there is nothing there?

shadowy figure.

*Full manifestation of an entity?

Oh Yes. Employees have actually had conversations. One employee ran out of

the building after seeing this and never returned.

Are there cold drafts or cold spots found only in a certain location?

(Barring drafts created by the a/c or heating units, fans, and windows).

Are there areas of the location that are abnormally cold? Centralized

locations, or columns, of coldness that won't go away, or appear to move

through the house? (These also manifest as pockets of heat, or warm

sensations).

*Do you experience the apportation of objects? Apportation is the

manifestation of foreign objects into a location. This may also relate to

small household objects that disappear, cannot be found, but "reappear" in

either the exact location first searched or in an area where it will be

easily found. Metal objects, including keys, coins, and jewelry, seem to be

most often affected.

*Have you visual confirmation of objects moving?

YES. Have seen bottles move across the bar.

The phone would ring at midnight every night. And also not be on the charger

when we leave it there.

*Abnormal behavior of electronics and computers? Does phenomena seem to

happen more near your computer, or when you are working on your computer?

Yes. Our sound system in the busines is effected all the time when there are

only one or two peopl in the building.

*Do you hear any unusual sounds in the house? Are there any unexplained:

*Expression of SLIder phenomena: SLIder stands for "Street Light

Interference". This is paranormal activity relating to the living.

Theoretically, SLIders are emitting a low grade of PK (psychokinetic) energy

which interacts and interferes with electronic devices. SLIder phenomena

includes street lights going off as a person walks by them, electronic

devices constantly breaking when a person is near them or attempts to use

them, watches dying, batteries dying at an abnormal rate, etc.

*Premonitions (future events), clairvoyance (sensing or knowing things that

are going on in the present at an entirely different location), or retro

cognition (seeing events that took place in the past)?

Cold Spots:

All temperature readings remained consistent. Cold spots were felt physically around the dance floor areas, the stage room, and in a sitting booth in the corner.

EMF:

No spikes on my EMF meter throughout entire investigation.

Photos:

75 digital pictures were taken. Only picture of significance showed 2 orbs while Scott felt there to be a spirit present.

We started the beginning of the investigation on the north end of the building and immediately went to the back office. I felt that this room had spiritual energy, but am not able to identify as to what extent. No EMF, photo, or temperature changes. I did note smelling something like eucalyptus or a cough drop. No one from the team had either one. Noted that there was a ticking of a clock that hung above the door in the office.

From there, we went to the VIP room where I did not have any type of sensation. Scott was feeling that an energy was present and also felt an animal (cat?) run by him from the office, through the VIP room and towards the game room. Took a picture of Scott shortly after and caught two orbs near him.

We then went towards the game room. On the very north end of that room I smelled fresh cigarettes (not a stale smell that you would expect in a bar). Nothing else unusual feeling about this room.

Next, We headed towards the dance floor and bar area. I felt cool spots in this area and smelled fresh cigarette smoke again. This happened a few times while in the area and several minutes had gone by since the first smell. Nearby vents were check and nothing was found. Checked outside and noted that nobody was smoking outside. Susan did state later that one of the owners was previously walking through the area with a lit cigarette.

From there, we went into the ladies room. Scott felt a presence there and asked to have pictures taken under the stall. Nothing visible was shown. Noted that vent in the ladies room was fairly loud.

Last, we went to the stage area where cold spots were felt and the smell of a lit cigarette again. Several minutes had gone by again since the last previous noted smells.

After all investigators meet up in the stage area where several voice recorders were used. Scott, Susan, Denise, and Kathy felt a few entities. One named Ginger was believed to have been at the sitting booth. She did not communicate well with the females and was communicating through Scott and an EMF meter while the other males looked on. Ginger was believed to have previously been a dancer.

Scott had also felt an entity of a man named Bruce (Bear) in his 50's(?) that liked watching the women and seemed aware of his non-existence of life.

After what the females believed to be a spirit summoning us to pay attention to her, we all went into the bar area. Denise was attempting to make contact along with an EMF meter. Both positive and negative feelings came from this spirit. Denise asked the spirit if there was a child that was taken from her. She had asked if her mother or sister were watching her child. My eyes were starting to get watery and I felt a slight coolness. I was sitting about 20 feet from Denise when she felt this energy go through her and behind her. This went about 15 feet behind her where Kathy sat and channeling started occurring for about 2 minutes. Kathy broke down in tears without saying much. Susan and Chris immediately went to Kathy. Susan was telling the entity to leave Kathy alone and to speak with Denise. Kathy was still crying and the spirit kept apologizing through her stating that she was sorry and she doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Thankfully, after quite a few minutes, Kathy was fine and we all meet in the VIP room along with the owners. They shared stories of moving objects, cold spots, apparitions, voices, and so on.

I believe that the S.P.I.R.I.T.S. members took an unfortunate incident and handled it with safety and professionalism, especially with 5 new members present (myself, Anthony, Chris, Kathy, and Jen). Although, I hope this doesn't happen too of the in the future, I am confident that if this were to happen again, every single member would treat it exactly as this.

49th Street Investigation: July 31, 2005

Equipment used: Sony digital camera

Investigators present: Jeanne, Scott, Bobby, Brandy, Susan, Anthony, Denise, Chris, Cathy & myself.

I arrived at 5:50 PM to greet Scott and Jeanne who were already there. When the others arrived we began the investigation at about 6 PM. It was a typical Florida summer day, hot and muggy. Cloud cover was typical, almost none. No precipitation at the time. It did rain as we were closing the investigation around 9:30 PM.

As Scott, Jeanne and I waited out in the parking lot for the others I began to "see" a heated argument around a car in the parking lot. It consisted of a group of men and it was a loud boisterous event. In my notes I wrote "hit by car/car fight/argument." I also sensed a younger man who looked of perhaps an Irish descent, thin with a shallow face and red blonde hair. He seemed very frustrated. Frustration seemed to be the main factor with most of the entities throughout this entire investigation.

Once inside the building, my neck began to hurt. It also hurt around the lymph nodes, like they are sore when you are ill. I did not know if this was connected to the car fight, as that was fresh in my mind when that pain began. The right side of my neck was very tender by the end of the night. That painful sensation did not leave me until I was half way home that night.

During the initial walk through I really was not picking up on much. I did feel that the couch area by the dance floor area was a potential hot spot and I also captured several orbs in that area. Brandy's and my camera both shut off in that main bar area. They came back on like nothing ever happened when we turned them back on.

I got a nice shot of an orb by Brandy in "Ginger's " area as her EMF went off during our initial walk through.

On our second walk through as a group, we settled in the audience area by the stage. I captured a few orbs there and at one point walked into (or it walked into me) a thick mist at the edge of "Ginger's" room, goose bumps and all. I called out for the SPIRITs to check it out and indeed, Scott found "Ginger" in there. He stated that "Ginger" did not like women as they were competition. I am sure that is why she was misting up to keep me out. Scott and the other men sat in there with "Ginger" while she shouted profanities and conversed frantically with Scott. Scott did his best to calm her down, yet she made it quite clear that she wanted no women around her area. After the mist incident, my sinuses acted up (nose runs), as they usually do when something paranormal physically touches me.

For my first investigation, I felt this was very productive. I learned a bit more on how important it is to trust your own judgment and go with gut instincts on these investigations. It is hard to clear your mind of what others will think and just open up and go with what you feel. I tried this last night, and as far as I am concerned, I hit on a few key factors according to what the owners told us after we shared our data.

Some examples follow:

1) The car fight and neck pain. There was indeed a fight outside the bar with a murder by stabbing. He was stabbed in the back AND THE NECK.

2) The frustrated skinny Irish like man I saw. Was this the same man Scott was seeing? Pip?

3) The mist came from an area of the building that had been the area of a homicide before renovations. Was Ginger attracted to that area since it was a cozy cubby or from the residual energy from the murder that took place in that area?

4) In my notes from outside before entering the building I had written "hit by car." Was this part of the parking lot fight or was it connected to the fact a man had been hit outside the bar on his way home?

We concluded the investigation and I left around 10 PM, at which time I felt highly irritated which began while we were dealing with the blonde girl in the bathroom. Just to note, I had no asthma problems that day, when I came home and went to sleep I woke up several times to use my inhaler as my lungs were sore and my chest was heavily congested. It is a little better the day after????

During the initial walk through I sensed an unidentified presence in the dressing room behind the main band stage. It was nothing threatening in nature, only letting me know it was there. We toured through the bar area then through the bathrooms (nothing notable felt by myself.)

I noticed an uncomfortable sexual energy in the office while touring though the VIP/office area.

After group discussion it was clear to me why I felt that way based on the Gina/Ginger spirit in the main band stage area and the general residual sexual energy left from the bar's (formally a strip club) past.

Later, after discussing "hot spots," we went back to the audience area for the main band stage, where the Gina/Ginger spirit was present. We sat in the booth with an EMF detector and had what appeared to be a conversation with "her" where she responded by spiking the meter. When other women in our group approached or attempted to ask any questions the EMF activity would stop. Once the men began addressing her again the EMF detector became active. Very interesting!!! (Unfortunately my video camera was set up in another room while this was happeningfigures.)

The main bar area proved to be equally exciting when we attempted to speak with, what the sensitives called an angry/jealous/sad blonde women, possibly from the 80's.

She became angrier as we addressed her and attempted to get EVP's. She became so aggressive at getting her message heard, that she lashed out at a member, upsetting her greatlythe message being."Mom, I'm sorry"

This was my first investigation with SPIRITS and it proved to be an exciting evening.

When we started this hunt, there was an feeling that we were not there at the right time. As the sun went down the ghost came out to play. There were four spirits that I came into contact with while investigation the 66Th St Bar. The first I will call Jake. Jake is a very shy and weak being, which I am sure was his personality while in life. He was hanging around in the Office area and only didn't leave much of an impression. He is a very thin man with brownish hair and I felt had died in a knife fight out in the parking lot. Jake spends most of his time here away from the other more aggressive ghost although at times will get happy feet and take a walk around the bar.

The second ghost was that of a middle age woman in the ladies bathroom. She was very upset and I got the images of her crying in the corner and also doing coke. This being would appear again later on when the whole group had moved into the main bar area. The best words that I can describe this ghost attitude and behavior was a tantrum. She was upset because we hadn't focused on her before talking to another member of the not-so-living. I don't think she is a bad person, just someone that took her mental issues into the after life. She had lost her children to her husband or sister, something I couldn't firm down. At one point her behavior became so unruly that she had to be pushed back and left to relax a little.

The third ghost was on of my favorite. He gave me the name Bruce or Bear. He is large man with a thick beard. A good old boy that spent most of his life just hanging out in bars. Is there a better place to be when you move over to the other side? I wonder if this is his version of Heaven. Bruce the Bear is always picking on the other ghost in the bar. Not in a bad way mind you. He is more like that big brother that likes to hit you now and again. While the Bathroom ghost was about to have her break down, I could hear Bruce saying "She is about to blow". What a gentleman.

The last ghost was sweet and salty at the same time. Her name, which I think is a stage name, is Ginger. Ginger was a hooker and a strip while this bar was once a stripe club. Ginger tends to hang out in the corner booth and men should watch their wallets. Ginger had a very hard life and I believe took her own life. I left that Ginger had lost her children and was addicted to drugs. A theme it would seem in the female ghost that now live in the bar. I felt cold spots and the back area was filled with mist. When we set the EMF back there she was talking a mile a minute that the EMF was having trouble keeping up. She made it very clear that she only wanted to talk to men and whenever a woman got close to that area the EMF would stop.

Four very different people in life and in the afterlife all spending their time together in a bar on 66Th street.

This was my second investigation with the group. Upon arriving we were

informed of nothing of the hunt. We split into 2 groups, I was with

Brandy,Susan, Denise,Jennifer and Anthony. We started the first walk-through I had a

hard time with this investigation ,so much residual energies felt like I was

being pushed and pulled in different directions it was hard for me to pin point a

single feeling, I did have certain areas I was pulled to such as the second pool table and

back corner of the stage area were we gotten a strong E.M F readings. But I

couldn't sort out all the other energies I was feeling. After our walk-though was

finished and the 2nd group of investigators finished their walk-though, We meet in the

V.I.P room to discuss and to walk though again, now we all were together as we walked though Scott, Susan,and Denise all were picking up on three entities 2 males and 2 females, they were that of a older

gentleman we called Bear(Bruce?) a Harley Davidson style person, a younger man more timid-shy we called(Jacob?) and young female maybe a dancer we called(Ginger?)and a strong blonde female(possible drug overdose)that was in the bathroom area.When we were in the Stage area

where (Ginger?) was present she didn't like the females in the room around her only the males Scott got great E.M.F readings at table in the back when all was guys present he was able to ask questions with

E.M.F peaking with answers,I also kept feeling for my wallet as if someone was touching it, I felt as if I needed to place money on the table.As we entered the Bar Room area we were trying to make contact

with the blonde woman that was in the bathroom and we got more then we were expecting the entity was strong and was focus at my wife whom was overwhelmed with sadness,crying and had to be shielded by Susan and myself, Denise and Scott and to ask the entity to hold back some of

her feelings back while we helped Cathy outside for air and away from the feelings she was feeling. After about 15 minute or so we entered the building again. At that time we all gathered in the V.I.P Room for

a discussion of the establishment.

With group-II, We began our initial walk through in the back office

area, I sensed a male presence, possibly named James or Jimmy,a small

EMF spike was reported at this time , EVP was attempted at this time

with no recorded phenomena noted on playback of recording. I had

strong impressions of several paramedics kneeling on the floor of the

room, no other anomalies noted at this time.Our next room was the VIP

lounge which had thick residual energies present, however I was unable

to obtain any specific information about it's history. Next was the

front entrance pool room. I was drawing a blank to anything more than

residual impressions, However,while I was passing by the front door I

felt drawn to the parking lot , where I started getting impressions of

a physical confrontation among several men, and suddenly had the

feeling of being cut with some type of sharp object. Upon re-entry to

the front entrance pool room, we proceeded into the inner pool room

and sound stage/ lounge. I had an Impression of two separate distinct

energies on either side and slightly behind me. EMF and temperature

readings consistent with initial baseline upon entrance, no spikes or

temp changes were reported. On going into the woman's bathroom, I sensed a

dark blond female in her late twenties to early thirties standing at

the sink to my right, she wore a pink colored blouse and a mini skirt

and she appeared to be snorting cocaine. the bathroom seemed to feel

like a well of deep confusion, sadness and anger, I felt also that she

was hurt from a possible recent breakup which in turn added to an

increase in drug behavior, which may be why I also sensed that she had

accidently over dosed . On the main dance floor we had a sudden odor

of someone smoking which was confirmed to be caused by someone outside

the group.Again I sensed only residual energies but the fleeting

presence that was in the inner pool room briefly strolled by,

watching us with curiosity even as we were trying to observe him!! WE

continued on then in to the main bar room through the hall to the back

stage and bar room where I picked up a mix of chaotic residual, no emf

fluctuations were recorded at this time so we concluded to regroup as

a whole where we met in the VIP lounge to discuss observations and

impressions and it was decided to take a second walk through in the

dance stage room to try EVP, however as two of the members felt cold

spots which traveled to a booth in the back of the room,thats when it

started to get interesting, consistent large fluctuations of EMF began

and coincided with questioning from one of the psi-sensitives in the

group, her name was ginger ( possibly a stage name ) who use to be a

stripper in the club before it was sold, she was very chatty and would

only communicate with the male members of the group, seeing as she

felt that other women were competition .I had a strong sense of

illness possibly from needle drug use, and she had a young daughter (

Emily or Amy ) who had been taken from her by the father of the child,

becoming so despondent she committed suicide, a fact which she didn't

wish to discuss obviously because she suddenly became quiet, however

impressions were that she harbored a resentment to the father of her

daughter, mean while the other pressing matter at hand was the blond

woman from the bathroom who was furious at not being the focus of

attention came to the doorway of the stage room demanding to be heard,

telling ginger that we needed to deal with the disturbed blond woman,

the group moved into the main bar and set down attempting an EVP to Denise's

questions I had the sense that she was wanting to let possibly a

mother or a sister know that she was sorry for what happened, then I

had an immediate pressure sensation that just seemed to slam into me,

the next thing I remember is being walked outside and I was feeling

weak, shaky and confused. at this point after a brief respite outside

we regrouped again in the VIP lounge . however from this point it all

seems a little foggy so I had to conclude my share of the

investigation and reported no more after the incident.

Mend and lady's room: both had 1.5 EMF. Temps, low 90's.

Pool room: 1.6 EMF, with flux.

Pool room 2: 1.6 EMF with flux.

Cooler area: EMF 1.8 (except near cooler unit, where it went off the 0-3 scale).

Office area: 1.5 EMF

Discussion:

Scott: 3 definite entities detected. One is in office area. He's a younger man, Jake or Jacob. Smells of medication, swabs. Always trying to fit in, felt left out. Got the date of the early 80's, 1982. He followed us out. Scott's group got two nice orbs. Images: cold sensation, circulation around arm. Felt a cat, or an animal, jumps on the stools, possibly hit in the road.

Game room: 0

Women's bathroom: 1983 86, a woman. Died of cocaine overdose because her boyfriend broke up with her. Closes doors and rattles it.

Burly man, out on dance floor; followed group. Appears over in the corner in back room. By front door, drawn outside, fight outside. Jake/man involved in this fight (brawling).

Sensed something by the chair in the office.

Jeanne: None

Bobby: Near office, smell of eucalyptus or cough drop. Smelled cigarettes, not stagnant.

Anthony: dressing room, back of office; felt pressure.

Susan: a lot of residual stuff in dressing room; light headedness. Bathroom: upset stomach. Not much EMF. Main stage room; small flux in curtain area near chairs. Small spikes; sense of uneasiness near bar area. Felt a blonde woman who felt threatened. Dates: 2001- 2003 important. There was an argument between two men, one with black hair. One woman here, Sheryl or Shelly.

Jennifer: Outside, sensed a skinny male figure. Frustrated. Reddish hair. Fighting and cars. Voice weaker: felt like being grabbed by throat. Girl's room: Good orb, audience area, dance floor a few orbs.

Cathy: office area: small EMF spike, cold spot felt. Game room: sudden sense of outside activity; got out of hand. Burning/cutting sensation, something sharp, metal. Energy surrounding building, fight. Name: James, Jimmy. Pool room: corner, brief change, residual. A transient figure. Cigarette smoke. Ladies room: sink: blonde hair pulled up, late 20's early 30's. Cocaine/accidental death. Name: Emily.

Chris: so much energy, felt bar area, feels like crowds of people on and off, residual energy. Orbs by pool table, certain areas felt stronger, but so much stuff it's too hard to distinguish.

Brandy: Cooler areas in back and front of building. Orb caught in area of main stage. EMF flux in stage area.

Denise: stage area she got a Charles or Charlie Schroeder. Ladies bathroom, someone laughing at us. Every so often, a guy stumbles after one of biz owners. Biz owner senses him and looks around. Ghost is scrawny.

Scott: Comment: too early for activity. Place starts to hop around 10 and 11 p.m. Entities drawn to crowds. More active with crowds, or when they leave; sexual energies also awaken them.

Second walkthrough:

Dance floor: (Scott): Male entity, burly guy, attracted to breasts. Destructive but controlled. Female present. Not blonde but with auburn or red hair. Jeannie or Ginger. Heavy energy with emotion. Succubi. Very slender. One of dancers. Wears a bracelet or charm bracelet. "You'll know me by my jingle"

Susan added that she so strongly sensed this entity that "saw her arm" and at the top a thin blue spaghetti strap.

Tried EVP at 7:45. (Nothing on video).

Diane or Dana, prostitute, doesn't like women, likes men, cash wallets disappear. Her arms and hands and joints hurt. Cooling sensations. "Ginger" appeared, died of drug overdose.

Susan sensed a drummer, Reno (stage name?)

Blonde woman standing in door, not happy that she was being ignored. Men gathered for blonde woman. Biz owner tried an EVP.

Afterwards, we went out to the blonde woman. We sat in the area of the auditorium, next to the bar. We tried an EVP at 8:25. Suddenly, the sensitives picked up on the great sad emotion. She had something to pass on. Cathy very quickly started to cry; she was overwhelmed by the emotion. Sensitives had to block her from the entity and we removed her from the area.

Afterwards, we moved to the couch area and discussed what happened. Read articles relating to site. Went over homeowner reports. They added quite a bit to the reports, including:

One incident where one person saw a white mist. As he watched it, he was suddenly over come with emotion and began to weep (similar to what Cathy experienced). Shadow figure which was seen by the cigarette machine. Young man seen by pool tables. Auburn haired woman seen wearing a sundress with spaghetti straps by several.

They wanted to know about a "Theresa" who wasn't present. They can usually sense her.

At the end of the session, they invited the SPIRITS to come back after the club has been open and is ready to close.

Discussed a recent discovery; one man died on the property. He was a good old boy (probably burly man) who was drunk and was hit crossing the street. Died instantly.

8/1: Reviewed digitals (2 orb images), video (nothing), and 35 mm photos (nothing).

Conclusions: Entities are active and do interact. The emotional ghost shocked me; to have the same incident happen twice within a year and a half to two different people is incredible. Why she is so sad is unknown; she wants help but is so difficult to work with that she cannot be helped. I've never seen anything quite like it.

I am actually looking forward to returning. I hope to see more ghosts, a bit more interactive next time. I also hope to be done with some of the projects that I'm working on so I can concentrate more.

Jen's report

We had a large group for the investigation. There were five SPIRITS members, and five potential new members. We divided into two teams. I was with Scott, Bobby and Cathy. We started in a back office, where Bobby and Scott both noticed a medicinal smell. Scott got the name Jake or Jacob, and the date 1982. When we left the office, and entered the VIP room, Scott felt something brush against his leg. He said it felt like an animal. He still felt a presence there, so we took pictures. I got a photo with an orb above Scott. Next we went into the pool room, but Scott and Cathy were drawn to the front door. They said that they both sensed some violence in the parking lot. Cathy thought someone had been cut or stabbed. We went to the dance floor next, and Scott and Bobby both smelled strong cigarette smoke. Scott also smelled strong men's cologne, and got the name Andrew, or Anderson. We went into the ladies room next, and Scott immediately felt the presence of a woman, and extreme sadness. He got the date as 1983 or 86. He said that she was doing cocaine. We then went to the far end of the bar where there was a stage and a large seating area. We got no unusual EMF in any of these areas. At this time, the two groups joined to discuss our findings. We returned to the stage area, where Scott felt the presence of a woman he called Ginger. She was in a back booth, and Scott sat back there to talk to her. She let all the men come back, but when women came near, she got very angry. I gave Scott my digital recorder, and recorded his questions to her. I got a photo at this time with a large orb over Scott. Meanwhile, Denise and Susan said that another woman was in the doorway, and was very angry that no one was paying attention to her. After the Q and A in the booth, we went out to the bar area to talk to the other woman. Denise questioned her. She was very sad, and angry. She said that her children had been taken away from her. Suddenly, during the questions, Cathy started crying. Denise said that the energy went through her, and to Cathy. Susan and Chris took Cathy outside, while Denise and Scott talked to the woman, and told her to back off. She was very strong. Finally, when things calmed down, and Cathy came back in, we all went to the VIP room with the owners to hear their stories. They had several old newspaper articles about the bar. One was about the murder of a female employee. Another about a stabbing death outside the bar. The owners had many stories about sightings, and other odd occurrences. They said that most of the activity is late at night. Scott had made the comment earlier that he thought that we were too early. It was suggested that the group come back to investigate again sometime after closing time. I hope that this happens, because it was an interesting night, and I'd like to investigate it further. I'd also like to mention that I think that all of our potential new members did a great job, and I'd be happy to work with them again.
