Though many paranormal investigators are excited by contact with the supernatural, site visits reveal just as much about those still working within the mortal coil. It is fascinating to note the reaction factor of those who host the SPIRITS in their pursuit of otherworldly phenomena.
Home and business owners display a range of emotions when it comes to having an investigation. Some are terrified, despite the passivity of the entity residing with them. There are those who have the nagging sensation that something is there, but are not certain of their perceptions. They leave it to us to determine proof, or lack thereof, of ghostly presence. The same procedures, to those who have already acknowledged and learned to live with their spectral company, enthrall others.
While all three reactions are more than valid, there is a sort of refreshing attitude in working with the final of the aforementioned groups. Their relaxed philosophies show a certain understanding of the world and the way it works. They are not afraid of the dead but simply learn to live with unusual encounters from the other side.
The investigation on 55th Street housed one such family. The homeowners had lived there for over 20 years. They knew the quirks of their building, and had come to deal with it. When they contacted the SPIRITS they held an interest in the investigation and were open to discussions on various psi-abilities.
The SPIRITS visited the home on multiple occasions, each one with a different mixture of teammates, and producing unique results. The first trip through revealed a myriad of entities, all desiring attention. Many appeared curious about the group trooping through, EMF meters in hand.
All visits responded to phenomena in the hallway. Homeowners complained of feeling followed or watched walking down the hall. They installed a mirror at the end of the relatively short hallway as a comfort, in order to see what might be following the family as they moved about.
The SPIRITS confirmed this as an area of activity. Orbs appeared in photographs. Members reported feeling cool breezes blowing by them, as if someone was rushing from one room to the next.
The guest room hosted "Lizzy," a cigarette-smoke smelling entity that could be sensed throughout the house. She caused two strong spikes in the guest room, and may have been whispering to the homeowners. Lizzy may have been present for two of the investigations, but did not always prove to be cooperative. When the group specifically tried to contact her for information, she simply did not respond. She decided that she would "do it in her own time."
Departed family members also made an appearance. One of the more remarkable ones was "Uncle Joe" who was related to one of the homeowners. He was frustrated because he wanted to communicate with the family, but knew he should not interfere. One sensitive thought that "Joe" was not his name, but picked up "Dan" or "Stan", and saw him as a brother-figure. The homeowners clarified that his real name was "Stan" and that "Stan" was his uncle.
Some of the sensations began to dim, as the weaker entities appeared to lose interest and depart. Several strong personalities still remained, and to concentrate the experience the team switched to a new technique for the SPIRITS. Using the trifield meter as a guide, we asked the entity to "push or spike the needle to the right" to indicate 'yes', to the left for 'no'". We combined this with the psi-sensitives abilities to have a "dialogue" with the stronger personas in the room.
One message concerned the homeowner's son, serving in the military. There was something about a trip, and Michigan or Maryland, not to go, and don't trust it. Though this was May of 2003, when hostilities were tense between the Middle East and America, the Persian Gulf War had not yet begun. Yet, when asked if there would be a war, the needle again spiked.
We later learned that the son, in his travels, had been assigned a plane transfer in Michigan through the military, which had run afoul in scheduling. He was temporarily stranded in the city.
A message came through about their other son, who resided with the homeowners. The entities, as reported by the family, always seemed drawn to him. He would complain to the others when his sleep, or schedule, was interrupted. The entity that bothered him most, possibly an acquaintance from childhood, picked up on that behavior. Though the phenomena were not violent towards the son, it did bother him. It became a form of bullying; the entity liked getting a reaction out of the son.
To alleviate the behavior, the SPIRITS advised him to pause before reacting, then very quietly ask the entity to leave him alone. It may take a few tries, but we hope it will be successful for him.
Some of the entities appear to have more messages for the homeowner. However, they would not cooperate with the SPIRITS. Our suggestion for the family is to leave a sound-activated tape recorder in a quiet room, invite the entity to leave a message for them on the tape, and to see how that works for them.
The family also plans to ask the entities to pass over into the light; they do not wish to hold anyone earth-bound. They are willing to work with the entities to get them to cross over through repeated, polite but firm, requests.
Overall, the results of all three investigations are quite remarkable. The patience and willingness of the homeowners to cooperate and participate in working with the SPIRITS (and the spirits) is immensely helpful. It is households like this that makes the investigations more meaningful as we continue to quest into the ideas of life after death.

Saw old man with big belly in hallway - at night son awoke, opened door to hallway from 2nd bedroom and saw big belly, son was about 6 or 7 (1985-86) This happened 2-3 times

Summer 2001 someone checking up on older son who was working on homework - door opened and closed on its own.
Same summer, older son experienced an evil reflection in the mirror - he was in the large bathroom cleaning his teeth
February 2002 - not wanted in Florida room - when Allen is in the room by himself he feels like someone or thing is telling him he's not wanted.
June 30 2002 Allen's name was spelled backward on the shower curtain-he was taking a shower in the large bathroom
February 14 2003 older soon experienced evil visit - electronics off - heard a shriek - got more prominent and came toward him-he felt like there was more than one presence or one presence that changed identities
1999 - My mom saw a shadow of a man walking down the hallway - she came to drop something off - there were no cars in the driveway - she called out and no one answered so she left- when she recounted the event we realized that no one was here.
Periodically throughout the past 23 years - Dennis feels like someone is behind him watching, Dana saw a red glow on the Florida room ceiling late at night when everyone was in bed, the hallway has always felt like there is something there
February 2003 Dennis experienced a visit that resembled a black orb - on the same night Allen also experienced a visitor explained above - like a shriek
March 21 2003 just before midnight- after using a cd in bed Dennis has a dream-he was trying to keep the closet closed not ours - and a face popped out of the open side - it was a young boy or girl - only saw the face. He was making a whimpering sound loud enough for Dana to hear and after it went on for a while she nudged him to wake him.

Report written on May 14, 2003 after reviewing the video.
This will be a (relatively) brief report, as I don't have much more to say than what's already been covered in everyone else's reports. On this investigation, I was the "camera guy," continuously filming the entire investigation from start to finish. Although many others seemed to have caught orbs on their still pictures, nothing appeared on my film. There were a few false positives, but I don't believe they were anything supernatural.
In the beginning of the investigation, my camera panned around and moved past the "sitting room." At the time it was still dark in there. Centered above the couch on the far wall was a framed picture. In the dark, it reflected a strange blurry white image. At first I thought it might be something, but upon further review later in the tape (when we returned to that location), it was evident that it was merely the glass frame reflecting light from the living room. Aside from that, my camcorder often picked up lights and other natural effects from everyone's digital cameras and devices. For example, a person may have taken a digital picture of something, which immediately showed on their LCD screen. In the distance, my camera caught the unfocused light. At first glance it looked like a possible orb or something, but again with further investigation, it turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary.
I found it interesting, almost humorous in a way, when several people experienced "technical difficulties" with their cameras. One person's digital camera froze; another person's camera inexplicably wanted to eject its tape. Fortunately my camera didn't experience any problems, but it was unusual how others had problems all around the same time.
The Tri-Field Meter, used to measure electromagnetic energy, displayed some unusual behavior at different points. I wish I understood more about electricity in power lines. The house was surrounded by fairly low hanging power lines, and was only a short distance away from a transformer. I wonder if a neighbor might have turned on a large appliance, for example, which caused a sudden draw surge in the power lines, which triggered the EMF reader? The device also had some rhythmic and repetitive readings. Again, I wonder if it was just an effect of AC current along the nearby wires. And towards the end of the investigation, the meter tended to give higher readings. Could it be because of the excess power demands, now that people were turning on lights and televisions at home? I'm not sure... Because during the daytime, air conditioners would be running too. I would expect that to have a heavy electrical demand too. All in all, I really don't know enough about power lines and AC currents to draw any decisive conclusions. There were plenty of instances of abnormal spikes in the EMF reader, which coincided with something we were talking about. Does that denote spiritual activity? It certainly implies it, but in truth, we know far too little information to rule out all other possibilities.
However, despite all that, it was clear that at least some "contact" with spirits was made. The sensitives in the group were able to gather a lot of information--including names--which turned out to be very accurate once verified with the homeowners. There were a couple items or names that didn't make sense, but the vast majority was too accurate to be ignored.
As for my own personal conclusion and assessment, I feel I can't speak with much certainty either way. I was more of an observer this time, filming the entire investigation, without drawing too many conclusions of my own. I think, in reflection, that some of the occurances (such as some of the unusual EMF readings) could have natural explanations. But I can't ignore the accuracy of the information the sensitives had gathered, either. The orbs that appeared on their film are fairly convincing, as well. So in my final conclusion, I'd have to say "something" is going on at that house, spiritually-speaking. I'd like to learn more about naturally-occuring electromagnetic fields generated by power lines, though, so I can better predict and understand EMF readings on future investigations.
And as a final thought, I wonder if those power lines could be a factor in encouraging spiritual activity. One person suggested that it served as a "beer on tap" for spirits, having so much energy readily available. In the past, I've heard people suggest that areas of high or constant EMF can affect people psychologically as well, possibly making it easier to sense spirits. Could it be that areas like this (surrounded by high voltage) in fact draw in and attract spirits? If so, could we humans create a designated space intended for spirits, using controlled high levels of EMF? Could we make a normal place "haunted" by wiring it with high voltage? If given enough focused energy, could the spirits use it to manifest themselves and make contact with humans more easily? Just a thought...
Sue K.'s report of the: 55th Street Paranormal Investigation on Saturday, May 10, 2003
A warning from beyond? That's what the S.P.I.R.I.T.S. group may have received during this investigation. The homeowners will contact their youngest son in the military and pass along the warning our sensitives received.
We arrived at 6:30pm to investigate this 3-bedroom home. The homeowners purchased their home 23 years ago and now live there with their eldest son. The S.P.I.R.I.T.S. members present for the investigation were: Denise, Sandy, Susan, Brandy, Cindy, David, and Sue. This was David's first investigation since re-joining the group. The sensitives present were: Denise, Sandy, and Susan.
We conducted our initial walkthrough utilizing various equipment such as EMF readers and temperature gauges. My E.L.F. Meter didn't register any EMF except near the refrigerator which is normal. We then re-convened in the living room, and everyone shared their findings from their first walk through.
Denise told us she had felt a male following her around the house during her walkthrough. She felt it was possibly the brother of one of the owners. Susan told us she felt sick to her stomach in the laundry room. She also had gotten the name THOMPSON, THOMAS, or THOMAS' SON. In the kitchen, Sandy said she had felt a faint vortex. She also said she felt an impression of a cat in the house. We then decided to re-visit the three bedrooms and the sitting room again.
LIVING ROOM: When we re-convened after the initial walkthrough, Denise told us she sensed entities waiting to talk to us in the living room. Susan told us she sensed something that was attached to 'things' in this room. Brandy told us she had developed a headache in this room. Sandy told us she kept hearing the 'Precious Memories' song running through her head. Out of the corner of her eye earlier, Sandy saw a person crossing in front of the living room windows outside twice.
BACKYARD: Brandy's EMF gauge spiked rhythmically during our initial walkthrough. We noted that there are poser lines around the property, but have not seen such behavior in an EMF gauge before. David told us he felt there was a weak vortex near that site.
MASTER BEDROOM: When we re-convened after the initial walkthrough, Susan told us she had heard rattling in the master bedroom. Her feet felt cold and clammy in the room. Sandy said she smelled aftershave in this room. When we re-visited this room as a group, Susan said she felt someone attached to the person who sleeps closest to the door and bathroom. She felt it was an older female. Perhaps it was the same female from bedroom #3. We later found out the female homeowner sleeps on that side of the bed. Her mother is alive, but her mother's sister has passed. David then told us he felt some motion behind him.
BEDROOM #2: After the initial walkthrough, Susan told us her feet were cold in this bedroom. David had felt a weird vibe in this room's bathroom. When we re-visited the room, Sandy said she sensed someone sitting on the bed.
HALLWAY: After the initial walkthrough, Denise told us she found the hallway to be extremely dark. She couldn't breath in the hallway and had captured possible orbs with her digital camera. Sandy said she felt a male pacing the hallway. He was perhaps in his 40s or 50s. She also felt a male looking down from the attic access door.
When, as a group, we entered the hallway to leave bedroom #2 to enter bedroom #3, Denise's camera shut off and got stuck on a picture. She said the guy in the hall was laughing. When we left bedroom #3, Denise said she heard more laughter in the hall from an older male when David made a joke. Denise said she felt drained of energy in this hallway and that there was a lot of energy here. Susan said she got dizzy and claustrophobic and then heard the name ELIZABETH. We later found out that the male homeowner's father's favorite sister was named 'ELIZABETH'.
BEDROOM #3: When we re-convened, Susan told us she had sensed a woman on the phone in this bedroom. Brandy said she had a sensation of the woman in the picture. Later, we were told she is the female homeowner's mother and is still alive. Cindy said she set up her camcorder in this room to video tape the room in our absence. During our second visit to this room, Susan said she got the name GERTIE. She felt she was an aunt, but the vibration wasn't very strong. We later found out that the female homeowner did indeed have an aunt that passed. Her middle name was GERTRUDE.
SITTING ROOM: After the initial walkthrough, Denise told us there were entities waiting to talk in the sitting room. Brandy told us when she first entered this room from the living room, she had a brief pain in her sinuses. She also got spikes on her EMF gauge while standing in the middle of the room. Sandy told us there was an older female sitting in the middle of the couch. She felt lots of people in the house.
When we re-visited the sitting room, Denise said the house offers a re-charge for spirits. She again felt the male entity in his 50s. Susan said it was maybe the THOMPSON she sensed earlier. Denise said she got the names DANIEL, DOUGLAS, WALTER, and UNCLE JOE. She felt he died of heart failure and had a pot belly. We later found out that the male homeowner's father was named 'WALTER'. He was 54 when he passed from a heart attack. The homeowner also once had an uncle named 'UNCLE JOE'. Susan got the word 'railway' and speculated that the entity had been connected to the train system when alive. Denise also got the name GEORGETTA. Susan sensed an older female attached to the female homeowner.
Sandy told us she was standing between the sitting room and living room holding entities out so we could talk to them one at a time. She said she felt this was a weigh station. Susan said they feel comfortable here. Denise said they're here for the son. Susan felt the son wasn't here. That he was north and travels. She said this room has more activity than any other room. Denise told us the male says the son is having trouble or that he's afraid the son will get into some life-altering trouble. She got the word MICHIGAN. Susan said MARYLAND. Right then, Brandy's EMF gauge started fluctuating. Susan said the entity was concerned with the son and some damage. Denise said 'BE CAREFUL. DON'T GO'. Susan added 'DON'T TRUST'. Denise felt the son may be transferred for his job. She said the older male paces the hall for energy. He recognizes the female spirit ELIZABETH. He's content. Susan added that he liked being alive better. She said he doesn't have access to the son. The homeowners need to call their son. Then Susan got a flash of the military. Denise added that the old woman is the grandmother. DANIEL is the son's name. Susan added 'DANNY'. Brandy asked if he was predicting another war and her EMF gauge spiked. Denise said the man is the brother of the homeowner.
OWNER INTERVIEW: The home owners told us the activity worsens in October and November and can last through January. This year, the heightened activity lasted through March. They told us their younger son is in the Air Force stationed in Germany. He would always sleep with a baseball bat because of the ghostly visitations. Of all the family members, he's the most sensitive. They were concerned about the possible 'message' for their son. They said they would call him to pass the warning to him. Homeowners Dennis and Dana also present. Homeowners filled out the interview form while we did the investigation. Homeowners also turned off a/c, lights, and sat outside on the porch as we investigated.
Pre-Investigation:
Bedroom 1: EMF .6, Temp 73-75 degrees
Bedroom 2: .7 EMF and temp 71 -73 degrees
Bedroom 3: .7 EMF and I didn't get a temp reading.
Felt a strange attraction to the picture of an older woman on the wall.

I did experience a tightness in the throat, though it was very mild and fleeting.

On second walk through, I felt a sharp pain behind my right eye (sinus area) that lasted for a second or two as we entered the Florida room.
Dining room:
EMF bleed from open kitchen area was the only EMF reading recorded. (Off the scale on the 0 - 3 setting).

As we entered this room and left the living room, I experienced the pain behind my right eye.
Outside: We had some unusual phenomena. We walked the perimeter of the house to the back yard. I set my meter down on the table. I had four large spikes from .6 to 2 EMF on the 0 - 3 scale. Then, the spikes dropped back to 3.6 to 1.5, and finally we experienced some pulsating spikes from .6 to 1.0, before EMF stopped all together.
When we gathered in the living room to discuss areas of phenomena, several felt that there was something in bedroom 3 which focused on the photo of the older woman. Denise heard the name Gertie, and Susan had written on her paper Eseling or Esling.
Denise mentioned that she had felt a swarm of people coming into the house, and that a male presence was following us. She thought it might be the deceased brother of the
husband. She felt that entities were excited and said "They're here!"
Hallway was dark with energy everywhere. Sandy felt this was a piercing experience.
Susan thought the Master bedroom had a rattling noise, and a coldness. She felt a coldness in her feet in the second bedroom, and again was attracted to the photo of the older woman in the bedroom.
She felt a sick feeling in the living room. She heard the words "Thomas, Thompson, or Thomas's son.
Cindy felt an attraction to the woman's picture on the wall.
David thought that there had be something in bedroom two, the living room and study. He thought there might be a mild vortex outside, and also noted that the home was surrounded by power lines on all sides outside.
Sue sensed nothing, but felt that things were very consistent, at least temperature wise, in the house.
Sandy felt things were happening in the living room and the sitting room. She sensed curiosity as two why were where here, and also sensed someone twice walking outside the house to the front door and in front of the living room window. She thought someone was pacing outside, He was a middle aged man in his fifties and was worried and anxious. She felt something by the attic access, and saw someone looking down at us. She thought the kitchen might have a cortex, and while walking through the living room, , the song "Precious Moments" played through her mind.
We decided to focus on the back bedrooms, hallway, and sitting rooms for the rest of the investigation.
INVESTIGATION
In bedroom 1, Denise thought that there might be an entity attached to a person that sleeps on the right side of the bed It was noticeably cooler in the back part of the house, though the a/c was off She saw a smaller female, older, in the bedroom. David saw motion behind him. Denise's camera shut off, despite new batteries.
In bedroom two, most felt it was colder in there.
In bedroom three, we had "Stuff" which includes an EMF spike of 1 to 1.5. Cindy set her camera up in the room and recoded. During the investigation, Cindy noticed her camera shut off and a light for a new tape came on, though this was the first time that had ever happened for her.
In the hallway, several kept sensing an entity, particularly near the entrance to bedroom 2 and bedroom 1. It was the male entity. Several also felt that there was something going on in this area. Orb images were appearing on digital camera display screens, including in the area of the attic access.
David felt very strongly that there was something going on around the area of the hall nearest to the entranceways of bedroom 1 and 2. He sensed activity around the mirror posted at the end of the hall. We opted not to remove the mirror as it seemed secure to the wall.
Walking through the living room, Denise and Susan thought that there might be entities attached to some of the antiques in the house.
The back of the house, again, remained remarkably cool despite the amount of people and activity in the house.
We moved into the sitting room. I placed my trifield meter on the ground and left in view of all. Denise and Sandy sensed areas where activity would be greatest to the left hand side of the room (sitting in the room and looking out to the living room).
The male energy followed us in there. The name Daniel came to one person, who sensed the man had died of heart failure. She said he was in his 50s and died of heart failure.
EMF spiked from .6 to 1.2. EMF started to continually register at a higher rating.
Entities were invited to utilize the EMF meter to give "yes" or "no" answers; this was an experiment that we carried with us from the prior two investigations. For "yes" the entity was to push the needle "up" or create a spike, for no, the meter was to drop its EMF reading.
A balding male was sensed, he was taller, and in Denise's words, "frail up top", and Denise hear the name "Uncle Joe" and then "Walter". Again, several of the sensitives felt a very crowded in feeling.
The older female appeared, attached to the female house owner.
We asked if there was a message that the entities wanted to pass through.
At this point, some thought the other entities were "leaving" or retreating. Several dominant personalities came through.
The messages "woman, man, son, boy, not here, North" started to come through.
There was something with trouble with the=e son, the son having trouble, or the son getting into trouble with work. This was a life changing or altering event. The name Marilyn or Maryland, Michigan, came to mind.
I asked if the entity was here because of the house. EMF spiked.
I asked if there was damage to the house that was connected with the trouble: spike
Emotional damage? Spike.
Was the damage life threatening? No change.
Is there a message to pass on to the son?
Denise heard "Tell him to be careful. Don't go. Don't trust . Transfer(?)
Denise thought the son might try and transfer for a new job.
Sandy sensed this was the entity that was pacing the hall.
The energy vortex seemed to be strengthening.
Susan said that the entity said to remember "Elizabeth, his favorite."
The entity knew he was peaceful and content, and that he knows he's deceased. He died of heart failure, but he's frustrated because he watches over the family, but can't get involved.
The homeowner was to call his son, one in the military (there were, as the sensitives acknowledged, several pictures of a man in military uniform in the house which might have influenced their perceptions of the military).
Trying to narrow down the messages, I started asking questions again.
Were we getting the message through? Should we focus more on the son for future questions? Spike.
Susan picked up Michigan, Middle East, and heard "army"
I asked if there would be another war? Spike.
(Me) Syria?
Denise heard "don't go."
For a moment the needle appeared to "freeze" (which it has not done to my knowledge before).
Me: Do we need to talk to the homeowner? Spike.
Me: We need to tell them to be careful? Spike.
Denise sensed that the entity wanted us to urgently talk to the homeowners, and that this particular entity might have referred to the homeowner's son as his grandson.
We ended that session to move into the living room and called the homeowners in with us.
INTERVIEW
We were told that the homeowners have two adult sons, one who has recently graduated and is currently looking for a job and another who is in the military.. In October, the son in the military has a choice to make regarding his career in the military.
The homeowner, Dennis, does not have a brother, as Denise sensed, but has a male relative, an uncle named Stan who was called "Uncle Joe." The name "Daniel" or "Dan" started this discussion. In Dennis's words:
I thought I heard it may be Dan or Stan-that's when we got intothe discussion of me having 2 uncles named Stanley and we called one Stanwhose close family name was Joe so the immediate family could separate himfrom the other Stanley when talking about the family. Stan/Joe died of aheart attack while walking in snow across a field in the Phila. Navy Yard. (5/24)It was Dennis's father, Francis Walter, who had a favorite sister Elizabeth. The homeowner recent put together a booklet detailing Walter's activity in the armed services.
Walter was also the first name of Dennis's grandfather. Dennis showed the group a picture of his grandfather.
The history of the house included a series of homeowners. It was built in 1959. N Two of the four homeowners were known. One had died n the house of natural causes and it was rumored that there was a possibly murder/suicide in the house with later homeowners. They believe that our description of the man in the hall may relate to one of the homeowners, possibly the one who had died.
Dennis mentioned that he had sensed on several different occasions an entity walking outside of the house when he would go out to get the paper in the morning. He said he felt someone following him from the corner of the house (where the sitting room was) to the front door.
The family also said that the sitting room belonged to "them" - the entities-at night. They did not feel comfortable in the room.
When discussion about the hallway came up, Dana mentioned that it was she who had put up the mirror. Whenever she walked in the hallway she felt there was someone behind her, so she wanted to have this mirror up in order to see behind her.
Dennis is a Civil War collector and wondered if some entities might be attached to some of the antiques he bought and displayed in the home that were from the civil war and the Civil War period. Several thought that was a strong possibility for some of the activity.
When they asked why the entities were here, Susan thought it was because they were surrounded by power lines, which the entities could "feed" from. Denise added that they wee also at peace here. (Homeowner) Dana agreed that the home was peaceful and that she thought it felt good.
Post investigation: The homeowner used his Canon Powershot G2 4Meg digital camera and took a series of images outside at both 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Of the first attempt, he took 5 photos. Two had orbs, one had a mist. Three also had lines in them, reflections caused from the flash reflecting off of the cars parked in the area. The next day, he moved the cars and tried to take another picture in the morning. This time, he did get another orb image, in the same area as the other orbs the day before.
CONCLUSIONS
Images taken via my digital camera appear to have multiple orbs. It is interesting, because there are multiple pictures that appear to have an orb cluster of three orbs appearing in various formations with one another.
Other images appear to contain a singular orb with a similar dark white outer "shell." Could these orbs be traceable and traceable individual entities?
I believe that the family, which open to the ideas of ghosts, may experience some guardianship of deceased relatives.
I also believe that the stories of the sons, as children, and the experiences of the homeowners themselves (see Homeowner's document above) indicate the presence of a male entity unrelated to the family residing in the home. There are enough similarities among the descriptions of a male entity, located in the hallway, from both the family and the SPIRITS team to indicate a connection.
Also, the home's history with prior homeowners may bring further validation, and revelation, to who this entity is.
I found it interesting that activity I was not even told of, such as the entity following someone to the front door, was picked up by the sensitives. The sensitives also managed to nail pretty much all activity reported by the homeowner, and reviewed during the homeowner interview.
Other factors of interest include the continual sensation of coolness provided by the home, the cold areas and drafts, and the EMF fluctuations. The EMF, which initially was very low, rose, and even surged with activity.
The house is surrounded by power lines, which, I believe, may account for high entity activity. Several sensitives thought the house was a through way for activity. While I am not sure about that, I also hesitate to rule that out as a possibility. The energy could be utilized as a source of power for entities.
Also, I found it unique that Denise got an orb near my head. We were talking earlier. She said that orbs liked my hair (noting that several appeared around my head in prior investigations -- ah, at least they have a good sense of fashion in the afterlife!) She brought that up as we did the walk through.
As an aside, as the SPIRITS did the initial walk through, we were in bedroom 1. I was noting EMF readings central to the room . I made some little comment about having recently gotten my hair cut.
Denise asked any entities to "touch" my hair and she prepped her camera. I bowed my head down and she snapped the picture. I thought I was humoring her. When the pic came back, sure enough, there was an orb by the front and side of my head. This is interesting as it means that *IF* this is not co-incidence that a) orbs may have a fascination with my hair b) that an independent entity or consciousness heard our conversation and Denise's request c) knew *I* was Brandy and d) decided to follow through.
We have been invited back during the "active time" to investigate the home again. The homeowner did mention that activity was low, but often started up again during the fall and lasted through the winter. I look forward to a repeat visit and to see if activity has changed at all.

On our walk thru at 7:33p.m. checked on camcorder there was a symbol flashing
that I had never seed before asked David if he knew what the symbol ment and he said it was the "eject tape" I ejected and reset the camcorder.
Developed my film saw nothing on my film out of the ordinary. Except that 1 roll of film did not come out at all there was nothing at all on the roll of film.Everything on the film was pictures of the hallway, and the bedoom with the woman on the wall, the front bathroom, and the family room. The pictures that were taken throughout the rest of the house came out fine.I am listening to the tape for a 3rd time because there is someone whispering off and on, on the tape and I am trying to figure out what they are saying.I haven't watched the tape yet but I will watch it tonight and will email you with the results from both.

As my sensitive abilities grow so does the list of questions I have about the information I receive. How do I pass on information that may be concerning to the home owner? How do I know that the information I receive is accurate? What should a home owner do with information that may cause some alarm to them? Well, the answer I came up with is quite simple. I am a non-certified hobbyist who is still developing my medium abilities and although I am relay some accurate information to the home owner, the information I receive should be considered as "Informational purposes only" Therefore, the home owners may do with the information as they please knowing it may or may not be accurate. This leads me into the activity I picked up on this hunt.
When I first arrived and walked into the home I felt a rush of energy and faces pushing towards the door waiting to see and speak with us. It was as if they had gathered for a family reunion. I distinctively heard the words "They're here!" One energy immediately stood out and followed me around during the entire hunt. He was a white male in his 50's. He had passed away from heart failure. I saw the entity as having a beer belly. He made it very clear that he was a relative (possible brother) of the male home owner. At this point I received two possible names for him, Daniel or Douglas. I later met several other family members, Walter and Uncle Joe. Both were confirmed by the home owner as his deceased relatives. I will discuss them a bit later.
As I conducted my initial silent walk through of the home I was over taken by a negative strong energy coming from the hallway. It was so overwhelming that I could not stay in the hallway for more than a few moments before I would loose my breath and go weak in the knees. One or more times I fell against the wall or on the floor, drained of energy and air. Although I hated the way the hallway made me feel I was completely drawn to it as if the energy was forcing me to pay attention to it. My digital camera picked up many, many orbs in the hallway and on the attic entrance.
The bedrooms and hallway temperatures was consistent during the first walk through. When attempting the second walk through, it was noticeably cooler. While in the back bedroom I sensed the male relative that had been following us around standing in the hallway next to the bedroom door. I took several photos of the hallway and did obtain orbs exactly where he was sensed. Another sensitive, David, felt that there was an entity in the bathroom. I took a photograph of the bathroom and found an orb sitting on the toilet. How funny. My camera stopped working and froze while I was in the hallway, something that it had never done before. I found that most of the activity in this home came from the hallway and the enclosed garage, which was now the family room.
In the family room I again felt many energies of the family members. They were Walter, Uncle Joe and other's that I could not get accurate names for. I also felt there were other energies there that were not related to the family, one possibly being a prior home owner. Brandy and Sandy used the EMF meter to start communications with the entities. The male entity that followed us around stated that he was there due to being concerned about the home owner's son. There was a life altering decision that was going to be made and some trouble that he felt was possible for the son. It also may have involved a trip somewhere. When asking specific questions the EMF meter would spike significantly when the answer was yes and drop when it was no. Please see Brandy's report for exact details on the questions.
In conclusion the entity wanted us to talk with the home owners and relay the message to their son that he should carefully think about any future decisions he may be faced with and look at all possible options before doing anything major with his life. This is as clear as I can make the message without promising accuracy or frightening the home owners. Again this leads us to the initial questions I had in the beginning of this report. I do believe that some of the entities there are protecting the home owners and watching over them. I also believe that due to the home being surrounded by power lines, it is a stopping point for energies to re-juice. As Susan interestingly put it, "Beer on tap" for them. I believe that is why the homeowners have experienced some of their problems. The entities make it their home while re-juicing before moving on. The home owners can take back their home and suggestions were given to them to do just that.

being analyzed at this time. Possible voice
interaction with EVP noted. Also, I felt a strange
tightness in my chest, as if a large amount of
pressure had been directed towards me. The
pressure/tightness came and went a few times during
the session. Cold spots were detected by several
members in this one room. Air flow from A/C was found
to be on side of room, opposite of the detected area.

Front yard: several members reported either chills or cigarette smell and emf activity at front corner of house. There are power lines that run between the houses on that side although no emf picked up directly under lines.

1St Bedroom. That is where it got exciting, folks. Digital voice recorder seemed to pick up something which will need to be further analyzed. To the naked ear it sounded like someone talking but we could not make out what was being said. We asked entity to interact with the emf meter by pushing the needle and in response to several of our questions the needle jumped. Again the smell of cigarettes was noted usually after a needle jump. When we first entered the room the emf meter was registering ~1.5 on the middle scale and as we were gathering data the energy level increased to almost 2.
This definitely was one of the more exciting investigations.
June 12, 2004
55th Street Recheck
Sitting Room: My team began in the sitting room, which was a former garage. EMF activity fluttered in here, with the middle of room registering activity as if something kept walking by. Temperatures were between 74-82 degrees.
Backyard: With power lines above, EMF activity was surpisingly light, registering intermittently. Temperatures were between 85-87 degrees, with a solid 90 degrees in one corner.
Screened Porch: Constant 85 degrees, with more EMF flickering.
Dining Room: This is where my group discovered a "hot spot". When facing the front door, immediately to the left of the dining table, constant EMF was recorded. Brandy captured an orb on film in this area also.
Guest Bedroom: Immediate smell of cigarette smoke as we entered the room. My first reaction was to think the homeowners smoked (which we learned later that they do not), or that a guest had been in the house that smoked (also not the case, according to the homeowners). It was quite pervasive in that room, as if someone was smoking at that moment. The smell also came and went, as if someone was walking by, his/her clothes permeated by cigarette smoke. Later, in this room, when we all convened to speak to the spirit, the smoke smell was back, as was a waft of sweet smell, like perfume. When the team re-assembled in the guest bedroom, strong EMF activity registered when Brandy asked the following questions: "Is someone here?" "Do you smoke cigarettes?" "Were you here last year in May when we were here? and "Do you have a message for the homeowners?" John used his EVP device to record while Brandy addressed the spirit, and upon playback, something was definitely heard by all of us - as if someone was talking far away.
Front Yard, Driveway: Lots of activity in area of the yard by the pallet of mulch. EMF activity was in a straight line down one side of the driveway (where the homeowner lated related he felt a "guard" walked up and down). Again I smelled cigarette smoke, outside, in this area.
Family Room: When the team reconvened to talk with the homeowners, the cigarette smoke was back, as was the perfume. As we were listening to Dennis at one point, I felt as if someone walked by me with a lit cigarette. Later, a sweet smell, like gardenias, wafted by. Cindy had gotten the name "Lizzie" earlier, but the homeowner didn't know of anyone in the home's history of that name. However, he did relate an unnerving story involving a spirit standing next to his bed, and then getting on top of him, trying to kiss him. It's interesting that Brandy and John both felt "tightening" feelings in their throats and chests, particularly in the guest room, and Dennis also had this experience of someone lying on top of him. A striking, clear orb was captured by Brandy in the master bedroom (where Dennis' incident took place), on the dresser mirror.

We attempted an EVP recording using my digital camera and John's digital recorder. My digital camera did not record anything; playing back the EVP in the room, John heard muttering voice on the playback. We asked "Lizzy" to record her message on the tape.
(As of the writing of this report he is still analyzing the recording).
We were getting very tired and felt the energy of the house had shifted. We did not recheck the other areas of the house.
Homeowner interview:
Homeowner reports that the husband sensed an entity the Tuesday before we came to re-investigate. He was dreaming and making noises in his sleep; wife witnessed that. He "saw" a bakcl form bending over as if to kiss him. She was nice, but it was starteling.
It had been very quiet in the home since the prior check. The son told the entity to leave him alone
They did do some research on the home. In 24 years the house had 1 former owner who died of breast cancer, and one homeowner whose name was listed with his wife's on buying the home, but was not listed when the home sold. Current homeowners feel that this is because he may have died in between the times.
They noted that the home was bought and sold many times between 1973 and 1979. They have owned the home since 1979.
Investigator's thoughts:
The activity of the home has died down considerably. However, the house had a lot of activity to it when the SPIRITS were present. Gladys may relate to a name that Denise mentioned the year before; and Lizzy was also mentioned in the prior year's report. (The homeowner informed us of this; they had printed out the website entry which I had not read or printed out at the time of the investigation).
Linda may have had the only brush with the former hall residentshe was touched in the hallway by a strange wind.
I was glad to note that the rest of the activity has died down to a comfortable level. The family remains comfortable and the home retains its positive feel.

Jeanne's report:
The investigation began at 6:30pm. Six members were present. We divided into two groups. Beth, Cindy, and Linda started at one end of the house, and I went with Brandy and John to the other end. We started in the back bedroom. There was nothing unusual there. Next, we went to he smaller bedroom. Brandy got an EMF spike near the bed. I took pictures with both a 35mm camera, and a digital of Brandy's. We checked the master bedroom, bathroom, dining room, and kitchen, and got no unusual EMF. At this point my digital camera died, and we changed the batteries. We resumed in the living room, and the camera quit working again. I gave up on it, and continued with the 35mm. We went outside, and got some EMF spikes in the front yard around a pallet of mulch. My compass was a little erratic in this area also. We went inside to meet with the other group. Several people reported a strong cigarette smell in the small bedroom. Also, Brandy and Cindy reported chills or breezes in several areas, and Brandy's digital camera had captured orbs in these areas. We decided to re-check the small bedroom and the front yard. In the front yard, both Brandy and Cindy felt a chill at the same time. There was a lot of EMF activity near the mulch. We don't know if the power lines over the driveway had anything to do with this. Inside, we went to the small bedroom, where some members reported smelling cigarettes again. Cindy heard the name Lizzy. The EMF was higher near the bed, so Brandy put it on the bed, and asked if anyone was there. We asked if it would communicate through the meter. John turned on a digital recorder during the questioning. We asked a series of questions, and got some needle activity on the meter. It was exciting. It spiked when we asked if it was Lizzy, and if she smoked. The EMF started to die down, so we stopped the voice recorder and played it back. It was difficult to tell if there were voices on it. It sounded like quiet muttering. This will have to be analyzed later. We met with the homeowners at this point, and heard their stories. Later, when I got my 35mm photos developed, I found nothing unusual in any of them. Brandy told me that the digital camera that I had borrowed had captured one orb image before it died.
