Brandy digital: I have no idea how to interpret this (!). Twilight fans unite! Attempts to replicate failed.
Whispering heard by 4 of 6 people present, checked outside and no noise, no noise inside the house; unknown source and unable to determine what is being said. Both: Brandy digital recording.
Scratching sound -- unknown as to why. May or may not be paranormal, though the digital was untouched and observed by those in the room.

Mary: When in the back bedroom, I noticed a key ring that I felt would move inexplicably from one part of the house to the other. This was later confirmed by the homeowner. I also was one of several who heard a murmering while in the master bedroom. It sounded like a man's voice, but the words were not intelligible. The phenomena lasted for many seconds and all attempts to recreate it were unsuccessful. Two team members went outside and talked softly, but that was definitely not the same as the voice we heard. There were no TVs on or radios on within the house. Also when we first started the investigation, I had a feeling of energy by a handmade work table that is just inside the entry. The homeowner stated that they had gotten it about 2 months ago which was when the activity had began increasing. It is unknown whether or not it had anything to do with the events currently happening in the home.

Cheryl: Felt an overwhelming sadness in the living room and wrote "sad child" on my notepad. Heard a male voice during EVP session that seemed to come from the hallway outside the bedroom door. I could not make out specific words. Near the end of the "white light" session, I again felt very protective of homeowner and confrontational toward whatever has caused the issues with the homeowner.

Temperature was strange in the house. It registered between 68 and 72, though the a/c, which was shut off a short time before, was set to 76. Temps dropped in the MA bedroom and the living room, primarily. See EVP entry below fo rmore info.

In MA bedroom, during EVP session: During session, someone asked, "does anyone else hear talking?" and described a faint voice, male, speaking. Sound was as if it was at a distance. I did not hear it. We tried again with EVPs. Again, folks heard the voice (I did not). Finally, during one of the last questions asked, I DID hear the male voice. I honestly thought that this was a radio that was being played loudly outside, with sound seepage into the house. This is what I thought the others were hearing. We stopped the EVP session to investigate. Nothing was turned on in the house -- no radios, TVs, iPods, etc. Most of the team stayed in the bedroom while Cheryl and I went outside to check. I was CERTAIN that I would find someone somewhere with a radio on in the distance. It was totally silent outside. No noise, no radios -- the only sounds were, quite literally, the crickets. Cheryl and I walked around the outside of the house and spoke loudly and normally in front of the windows. While the team inside could hear us speaking, nothing was picked up on the EVP from us. The odd thing is that the male's voice -- a whispering sound that is unclear but audible without manipulation of the digital -- CAN be heard on EVP. It is recorded long before I "heard" it. The second EVP attempt found NOTHING -- no one heard anything and there is nothing on the digital recorder. I cannot explain the noise. I find it odd that I, too, heard it (though I wonder if my sensitivity is higher than normal because of reduced stress levels). Several members of this same group had a similar experience at another (unpublished) investigation. We had 6 people in a room doing an EVP, 4 heard speaking, 2 -- myself included -- did not. As with this case, checks inside and outside found nothing, though the muffled sounds of talking that the four heard were caught on the recorder. Attempts to replicate failed, and attempts at talking and making noise in various parts of the building also produced no results. I am puzzled by this phenomena and curious to see where it will go.

Home owners are interested in the paranormal; wife is a sensitive. Husband hears nothing (though has seen a manifestation before of one of their deceased pets) and most activity centers around the wife. Entity comes in at night and does not respond to requests to leave. Entity described is a white man, dishwasher, who died of a drug-related issue. He is desperate to find someone to tell them not do do the same thing he did. Homeowners DO have a halfway house next door to them, but no contact allowed with the home via the half-way house's policies. My thought is that the half way house may have a man who is recovering who has the spirit, or that there is someone related to that location that has noted the home owner's sensitivity and visits her.

Because the homeowner is a friend, we did attempt to do a white light meditation as a group to shield the house and protect the homeowner. We do not usually do this. I would like to see the results of a group meditation at pushing the entity out....or at least protecting the home owner from unwanted drop ins.

Verna Master bedroom- fely a minute amount of energy Kids room- A lot of energy in the kids room. It was very strong and I was uncomfortable. Post Investigation Report from home owners:
Some very interesting things have happened within the past few days. Could be absolutely nothing paranormal, but I can't help but think that it is the result of the meditation we did as a group. I take it as a sign that the meditation was successful.
First, I had a dream two nights ago...... Someone was knocking at the door and just before I answered I stopped and decided that it was best not to let him in. He then began pounding on the door, yelling let me in, and kicking the door with a cowboy boot. I woke up.
[My sister] told me of a very similar dream that she had just a day or so ago. Someone knocking and wanting to come in.
On two occasions in the past two days I saw my dog Belle (who passed about two years ago) in the house in two different locations. She has visited often, but I have not seen her for several months.... until now.
Lastly, my dog Beau who never goes in the hallway near the bedrooms came to the threshold of the master bedroom. I know that this is no great accomplishment, but Beau NEVER ventures down that hallway. He sits at the bathroom door and watches us as we pass.
Whether psychological or paranormal; who can say? But, I thank you so much for your help!

There has been some activity since the SPIRITS have done the first investigation. A few weeks ago I awoke in the early morning and saw a radiating orb of light over my dresser in the corner of the room. This is the same location where I’d previously heard pops and cracks quite routinely. The orb was about the size of a football. The room was completely dark with no light at all outside. I still tried to play with the curtains and the alarm clock to see if something would make the orb change but there were no changes. I got bored with watching this thing and went to sleep after about an hour. The next night, my husband and I tried to recreate the orb with light and were not able to.
A few times I have been reading on the couch in the family room. I heard my husband walk up behind me and started to talk to him. When he did not respond to my questions, I turned and found that he was not there at all. When I called to him, he was in the bedroom at the back of the house.
My husband has heard the dogs bark and then the door handle being turned. He went to the door and opened it and there was no one around anywhere.
Just today while my husband and I were installing a new light fixture in the family room, I noticed a bank that is located on a shelf above the couch was pushed about an inch off the shelf. I brought the bank to my husband’s attention and wondered out loud how the bank moved (as it does from time to time) without anyone opening and closing the door to the bedroom that shares the same wall. I noted to myself that I needed to adjust the bank so that it did not fall on someone. Less than a half hour later (while still working on the light fixture) I noticed that the bank was returned to its’ original position. I said “ Oh, you’ve fixed the bank for me) and my husband responded “I’ve never touched it!”.

Kathy: I felt an energy of the corner of the MA bedroom, over the red lights by the window. Energy by the back hall closet. Just an energy feeling that I get, near the closet in that area, I feel like I am being watched.
Erin: In the blue room with the cut out, I felt like something hangs out in there. Got a couple of orbs in pictures. In the MA bedroom, I felt energy on the side of the bed by the window. Pressure on back on shoulders, took the EMF pump out of the room to make sure that was why I wasn’t feeling weird. The feeling didn’t change. The longer we stayed in there, I started to feel ill.
Arly: Going into the MA bedroom, I hesitated, my stomach dropped. Over by the small side of the bed close to the wall by the window, I couldn’t stay there very long.
Jeanne: I got nothing. I got several orbs in my pictures. No EMF by the pump.
Mary: we started out in the pool area; I had my back to the screen door and I felt behind me a female energy. I felt that after we got outside when we got to the shed. The next thing was the MA bedroom, looking at the bed, right hand side by the window; energy, headache, I felt a headache across the sinus area. It was not the EMF pump. I got the feeling that there might be a moving energy that goes through the room, and through the diagonal corner where the red lights are.

Homeowner: After the last investigation, when we did the meditation, I hadn’t noticed anything. But it has picked up more in the past few weeks.
Discussion: Beth: Verna thought that the entity might not be from a prior investigation; that it had been here and I had not noticed it before. We also know that Verna had mentioned something about drug use; at the building where I work there is a school and a community room. The community room, when the school is not in session, sometimes is used for narcotics and alcoholics anonymous. [Last investigation, we wondered if the entity had come from a halfway house].

I am under-impressed with the EMF pump. It barely registered on the EMF meters. My only thought, as I took the pump out for another try the day after the investigation and it EASILY registered on my trifield, is that the entity may have been using the EMF pump to gain energy.

We did do a second meditation in the home. Once again, the energy was totally different. This time, however, I did not hear any phenomena as I had the first time. EVP got nothing.

Brandy: We replicated the meditation session that we did the first time to protect the homeowner. Sensitives reported that they "saw" the entity kicked out of the house and furious to come back in. Mary: My team started our investigation on the outside of the home with the pool area. I could feel a sense of energy (female) behind me, but outside of the screened in area around the pool. I could not sense a specific person. The same energy was near the shed in the backyard. It is not at all threatening. Inside I could feel an energy that was on the right-hand side of the bed in the master bedroom. This presence was near the window and I felt moved between the master bathroom and the dresser in the diagonal corner. I did not get a sense of male or female with this one. Both energies were benign.

Kathy-I could feel the energy of a male in the master bedroom. I could hear him in my head telling us to stop.(the investigation). He feels he knows the homeowner from "school" and he feels she is the only one who can hear him. After a session of meditation, I could see him in my minds eye and hear him. He was shouting and kicking at the field that we put up around the house. He did not want us to send him away. He seemed very angry.

Erin- In the master bedroom, I felt an energy coming from the side of the bed by the window, felt that the entity was there. I felt a pressure on my back and shoulders, and a headache. The longer we stayed in that room, the worse I felt. I saw in my mind's eye the spirit, he is military-looking, short light-colored hair, buzz cut, small build but muscular, sharp/angry features, wearing jeans and no shirt, tattoos on arms and chest. He knew why we were there and he was not happy about it.
During the meditation, I saw the same spirit as before, standing outside the "bubble" of white light, in the street. He walked toward the bubble and then ran into it, not realizing it was a barrier. He then punched the bubble, and walked off swearing, and pacing in the street angrily.

MISSING REPORTS: Arlie
For the holiday season, we feature an article about how family can work together to help one of their own. This case, as with many of the SPIRITS' cases, is unique. The home owners are friends of the team. When the wife was accosted by a spirit whose nervous energy made her uneasy and her requests to leave were ignored, she called in the SPIRITS of St. Petersburg.
The home seems to have a few entities around and inside of it. As the wife is a sensitive, she has met several of them. In her backyard she has met a Native American woman, also felt by SPIRITS members. There is an older woman who also appears from time to time. However, the troubling aspect to this investigation did not involve the females, but the young male who constantly appeared to the wife.
The entity would appear to the wife particularly in the bedroom. He wanted attention and wanted her to pass on a message to someone important to him not to do what he had done in life. The problem was that the home owner had no knowledge of this individual, who he was, or why he was there. His requests were vague and attempts by both the home owner and the SPIRITS to find out more about him were in vain. He alluded to knowing the home owner from school, but attempts to trace which school failed. The home ownerr had one person in mind but in researching him, found him alive and well. So who was he and what did he want?
The home owner reported that this entity spoke to her frequently. At one point during the investigation several SPIRITS members heard this themselves. In the master bedroom as the team gathered together for an EVP session, the audible sound of murmering could be heard in response to the questions asked. A description of the phenomena is like hearing a car radio on outside of the house; the noises are evident, but the words cannot be clearly distinguished. To rule out any possibility of natural phenomena, the team verified that there was nothing electronic on in the house. Two members went outside, one fully expecting to uncover a neighborhood party, to find nothing louder than crickets chirping. Home owners confirmed that they had no known sound conduits into the room. The unknown noises, picked up at various times by various people, cannot be explained. Team members attempted to stand outside of the house at various points talking in normal and then loud voices. None were picked up by recorders. In order to be heard inside, the tested voices had to stand directly outside of the windows. At the time of the noises, no one was discovered outside or on the property by the pair that went outside.
A secondary event is worthy of note. The SPIRITS were experimenting with a newly ordered EVP pump. This was the first night and the first investigation of the pump's use. The idea behind the device is that it provides EMF for ghosts to consume, or to attract entities to a location. As the device belonged to Brandy, she measured, with disappointment, how little EMF the pump appeared to put off as it was set up at a station in the bedroom. The Trifield meter set next to the device showed few readings. Yet, the next day when the EVP pump was used on an urban legend investigation it registered fully on the Trifield meter stationed a few feet away. Nothing on the device was changed, so why the difference in readings? One possibility to consider is that the device is used by entities to gain additional energy. Only time and more testing with the EMF pump will verify this for certain.
Because the home owners are friends of the SPIRITS, the team did something unusual: a white light meditation. As a group, we focused our energies on protecting the house, the home owner, and on casting the unwanted entity out. Oddly, the home owner reported that phenomena dropped after the meditation. She had a dream that the entity knocked to get into the home, but she chose not to let it., despite its protests.
After a few months, activity again started up. The home owner witnessed the entity at various times, and it showed up as a glowing orb in the bedroom one night. She called the SPIRITS again. The second investigation showed no talking or EVPs, but sensitives certainly picked up on the male -- the same one from the first investigation. Again, the group did a meditation and two sensitives present noted that they sensed an entity on the outside of the house trying to come in.
Though this case was unusual, the SPIRITS was not going to let an entity harass a friend and supporter. The team came together to try something new, but possibly successful. The white light meditation may be a combination of phenomena -- psychic strengthening and suggestion -- but if it keeps harassing entities out, then it may have some validity to it.
