Notes from investigators: Discussion after walk through

Mary: (Blue room) First room was the child’s room: as soon as I walked in was a pressure in my neck. There was something that struck me about the red riding toy; wondered if it moved. Back in the room and into the hall was the feeling of an older man. The brown room, wondered if from there back was an addition; closet felt like an outside room at one time. MA bedroom had the most; cool spot, look at the bed at the left hand side. A/C is off (verified with homeowner). On the other side of the bed Mandy said that she noted that the temp was getting hotter. I felt colder, colder all around. Hallway had a coldness all around. The far side by the closet was a cold area that spread into the hall and the hall bathroom; male presence still there. Then we went to the pink room in the front. Wondered if the closet had been an outside door due to the lock on it -- wondered if it had been a closet at one time. To me, I didn’t pick up much more there. The screened porch outside, I didn’t have a good feeling with that. There is something that took place out there. I noted that, not a good feeling out there. I wouldn’t want to spend much time there. Other than that, nothing really.
Jeanne: Low EMF everywhere except for the MA bedroom. Other than that, nothing.
Cheryl: I got here a little late. The first thing that I had was when I was typing in the address, I got a high pressure in my ears (like an airplane). I felt it again when we were in the hallway. The first room that I went in was the MA bedroom by the sewing basket. It felt apprehensive in the back corner. I wondered if there was a connection there to the outside. Someone stares inside or outside of the window. I do feel that no one wants to be outside in the screen room. I feel like people have to go in there but they don’t do it unless they have to. I didn’t feel much into the hallway except for the ear pressure. Bathroom, cooler but Coming into due to tiles. The baby’s room, I felt that I should knock, though I knew that it was empty, because there was someone there. Outside, except for the screened room, I felt that was fun.
Mandy: When we first went back into the blue room, but as soon as I walked in I got “Charlie”. The temp spiked from 75 to 83. That was all that I felt. The brown room, I didn’t get anything, but the temp went from 83 to 77. The MA I felt that it was the old original part of the house. I felt an older male presence in the corner by the closet. I sat in the bathroom. I hate the shower curtain; felt that there was something behind the shower curtain (felt that there was something behind it). When we were leaving there, I felt cold spots, then it was funny because when we were talking where the cold was the temp spiked from 75 to 82 and I got chills. When we left it was up to 85. Pink room, 73 degrees. When I was in there, I felt that someone was rubbing my neck. I did not want to open the closet door. As soon as I opened it it was creepy. It was 71 degrees (normal). Screened in back porch, I didn’t like it. I felt a pain in the right side with a pain and heat in my right arm. Stayed with me with the toy room (French room). Backyard felt good in it -- like a party.
David: Using the EMF meter, when we first walked in I got a few spikes by the MA. When we walked into the back it was really low. When we got back and went into the MA bedroom it went up to 1.2. Tried to repeat it and it would not do it. Stayed on 0 until the end when it started to flicker in the living room. Feelings, I didn’t feel anything except going near the bathroom in the MA bedroom, goose bumps. Cool feelings; thought that the a/c was on but verified that there was no air on and no draft. No trees next to the MA.
Beth: Started outside, didn’t go into the screen room. Don’t know why. That might be notable because where people feel something negative I don’t tend to go in. Nothing in kitchen, but drawn to the toy room, but could be a toy room. Got the sense of a male. He was very proud. Not proud in a family sense but of that of a creation or a building. I also felt a lot of energy by the arch going into the back. MA bedroom a feeling of being watched. Also it felt very cold near the closet by the corner. It was much colder in the corner by the closet. I really didn’t feel anything going to the other bedrooms. Going into the baby’s/pink room I felt cold to the bone. I wondered if someone has been frightened in this room. I had the sensation of a nightmare. I do need to add that while I was getting ready to come here, I got the name Suzette and picture of a women (modern) at the sink peeling as if I were standing at the sink watching it going on. It changed to a woman who was at her 50s peeling potatoes or carrots.
Kathy: Outside the only thing that I really sensed, I felt that there was something watching me from the front door. Felt like a male. It is the first time I got the sense of a male or female. When we got inside the kitchen felt happy. Then we went into the MA bedroom and I felt the closet and I didn’t want to go near it. The temp gauge didn’t change the whole time, though it felt very cold. The tween room (brown room) felt as if we were going down. Near the back room (blue room) I was drawn to the old bike. Didn’t know what it was as we were in the dark; had to take a picture to see what it was. Front room (pink room) it felt much cooler but the temp only changed by one degree. No draft (hanging objects on ceiling). Felt as if I was being watched in that room. In the hallway going back into the house, bad feeling in that general area.
Les: EMF reading was 2.5 to 3. Around appliances and fireplaces, back bedrooms were almost non-reading.
Erin: As far as feelings, I didn’t get a whole lot except when we were outside I looked at the screen porch and thought “No” and went into the house. I walked into the bathroom and turned to face the door and I thought to myself “heck no” and left. I went to the windows that faced the porch I looked out 2 seconds and felt creepy. The room with the crib was very cold (pink) and I’m still chilled. The only feeling was that it was very very cold. As far as the Ovilus it would not stop talking. I had to shut it down to get it to stop talking. Outside: cars, team, apples. It said nothing in the house. In the playroom: Mercury and upstairs. Nothing until between room, favorite, hallway fell through. Les: Power lines across the street which pegged the meter.
Brandy: Observed the EMF flux, temp moved up one degree. Voice capacity repetive. During the third EVP session in the pink room, the laptop suddenly went black without any warning. On the audio recording I was making, everything suddenly stops. I took the computer out and plugged it in. I was pulled aside by the homeowner and then I went outside with the group. During this time we had the "shadow man" incident, in which one team member actually saw a man in a hat manifest for a brief second. After about 30 minutes outside we came back in. It was then that I discovered that the computer was back on and had been recording. The audio recording picks up with the sounds of quiet and pug noises (animals came into the house when we went outside). However, the recording is quiet except for that. It's very strange and I don't know why the computer shut down then came back on. My only assumption is that the battery drained, but I am curious why the audio recording stopped and then picked up again -- why wasn't Audacity interrupted by the power disruption? Paranormal Puck picked up a series of words over and over again (see notes from the night). These included orb, dog, passed, thin, key, land. Natural EMF moved from .9 - 1.09 and EMF moved from .96 to 2.8.

I felt very dizzy in the pink room. I know that I felt dizzy in another part of the investigation and I wrote it down, but I can't find where I put the note. I want to say it was outside. The next day, I felt horribly drained and exhausted, sick when I first got up. Could just be pollen and allergies.

Homeowner reports SLIder, animals follow movement with eyes, cold drafts, abnormal behavior of lights or doors, doors opening or closing without assistance, doors locking, unusual sounds (popping, swishing, rustling, sizzling), and discomfort. Phenomena happens primarily around her child. Time line: Friends stated that they saw something in one of the bathrooms and won't go in that bathroom; weird cold feeling. Son (2 1/2) wakes up screaming. When mother goes to sleep with him, he goes to sleep without trouble. Son speaks to someone who isn't present. When the family was gone they returned to find a door that has a hanger on it (thus blocking it from closing) closed and locked from the inside. No explanation. Son's alarm clock went off at 5 a.m., though son is too young to set it and family did not set it. Noises from ceiling. At location: "Every time I sleep in the room with my son, he sleeps, but a constant cracking or sizzling sound is heard, a knock by window is heard, and the area (pinpointed by the SPIRITS over a bike -- three wondered if the bike moved...) by the corner has a sensation of movement. They hear son talking out loud then hear him say "No, I don't want to play." Asks about "Daniel" or "Danny" and who this person is. This isn't like other games with him where he names his characters. When questioned he says that Danny has red hair, he's not nice and he's not mean. He is "sometimes funny." In the front bathroom, a man in a hat was seen during the first week the family moved in. This was a tough teenager who saw the ghost and he was very shaken. His mother also saw the entity. Later, when homeowner told a friend of our investigation, friend voluntarily said "because of the man in the bathroom?" (No one knew that she had seen him). [Beth, SPIRITS member, felt that Danny was a spirit guide for the child). Husband has tried to engage the entity. He has envisioned (without suggestion) a man in a hat with a sharp nose -- which is the exact description Beth gave when she saw the entity. Homeowner notes do NOT include either a hat or nose entry....this was totally new. There is no way that Beth could have gotten the information from me or from the homeowners who did not mention it during the investigation. A month ago, the heard someone in the hall making a mocking sound of their son. The son made a "whoo wooo!" (train) sound, which was echoed a moment later from the hall. No one was in the back of the house. Homeowner noted that the puck kept picking up on ceiling, which she thought was interesting as that is where she hears the noise. Though the SPIRITS picked up activity in the pink room, the only thing that was known was that the prior homeowners had a large gun collection which they kept in the pink room closet. Though nearly every SPIRIT member identified the MA bedroom as a location of activity, the homeowners felt comfortable in it. (It is near both the bathroom, the hallway, and the blue room). The male homeowner uses the pouch quite a bit without problems, though the SPIRITS felt uncomfortable there.

*Homeowner needs to take possession of the home. Do not leave, talk firmly but politely to the entity. Teach little boy to tell it to leave him alone as well. *Check into wooden beams as an explanation for the pops or thumps heard on the ceiling.

Stunned that entity manifested, naturally while I was not present as I was in conference with the homeowners. Was very pleased that the SPIRITS were as accurate as they were!

Les EMF measured from 3 to non-existant thoughout the house. At times I checked the battery to make sure it was still working because of the low readings. There were no spikes during any of the EVP sessions in the house. However in the back screen enclosure during the EVP there was a large spike immediately after the question--"Are you the entity Beth saw?" Spiked from 2 to 6. I had the meter set on the 0-3 scale but was reading the 0-100 scale so I would not have to guess about the numbers.

Erin- I had the Ovilus with me during the initial walkthrough of the house. There were a lot of words coming from it when we were outside, especially in the backyard and on the side of the house near the street. We later correlated this to the very high EMF coming from the power lines across the street from the residence. Inside the house, the Ovilus said "mercury" and "upstairs" in the playroom/porch, "favorite" in the brown room, and "fell through" in the hallway.

Erin- I felt strong energy coming from the screen porch, both when I looked at it and when I was in it. While I was in the master bedroom, I looked out the window overlooking the screen porch and got a very creepy feeling. I felt a bit uneasy in the master bathroom. I felt extremely cold in the pink bedroom, almost cold to the bone, and that cold stayed with me for quite a while after I left that room.

Erin- The house was built in 1949. The current homeowners purchased the property in July of 2007 from Charles & Beth Hickey. The Hickeys purchased the property in March of 1998 from Shirley V. Wyatt, the widow of William O. Wyatt. The Wyatts purchased the property prior to 1957, and may be the original owners of the property. William O. Wyatt died on January 25, 1986 in the 14th Street residence. He was 75 years old at the time of his death. He was also a Colonel in the United States Army.

Since two team members are acquainted with the former homeowner, maybe she could be contacted to see if she experienced anything while living there. Also, encourage the homeowners to continue talking to the spirit, and laying down rules for him should he stay in the home. Also, Beth should definitely go back for the recheck. Since she has already seen the spirit, he may be more willing to interact with her.

Beth- I observed changes in temperature in the screen room. The temperature went from 77 degrees to 93 and back again.

Beth- I felt a sensation of energy upon entering the hallway. There was a male energy in the toy/french room. While in this room, I felt that the entity was proud of handy work (possibly an addition to the original house). In the master bedroom I felt a cold chill near the closet and bathroom area. I had the sensation of being watched. In the pink room I felt a cold chill and had the impression that a child was frightened in the night. I could not determine if this was in a nightmare or when the child was fully awake. During the evp session in this room I felt like I was unable to speak although words were forming in my mind. During the second walk through as a large group, I saw an apparition standing behind a team member when another team member flashed a camera. The entity was in profile, very dark, wearing a hat, and had a sharp, pointy nose. While the homeowner reported that her child spoke with a child Danny or Daniel, I heard "spirit guide".

Mary: There were signiciant temperature changes in the master bedroom. When the coldness started spreading, the temperature actually shot up several degrees. The KII meter responded more than normal (see question 10).

Mary: Immediately upon entering the blue room, I had pressure in my neck which is how I perceive energy. Just as I moved past a dresser on my left, I saw what appeared to be an antique child's red riding toy. I felt that toy might move by itself. There was nothing more significant for me in that room. The next room that I felt had activity was the master bedroom. There was a noticeable cold spot next to the closet. No air conditioning was on. There was a presence of an older man who was benign, but he seemed to move from that room, into the hallway and into the hallway bathroom. Just before exiting the bedroom, there was an enveloping coldness that surrounded me that carried into the bathroom as well. The windows were tightly closed and there were no drafts. The other place where I picked up activity was on the screened porch. This was not a pleasant place to me and I felt as if something negative happened there. It was disturbing enough that I did not want to spend much time there. Later when the team returned to the master bedroom, and the question was asked in an EVP session, what was the last year you remember, the year 1963 came to me. Beth picked up 1961 and that the man was 63.

Mary: Research is just beginning. Erin has researched online and has traced the ownership back to the sale of the house in 1998. The owner at that time was a widow. Her husband (born 1/13/1911) had died in January 1986. A trip to the library may lead to additional information about other occupants of the house.

We need to use a level or other means of testing the floor to be sure that there is no slant that could cause doors to shut, etc. Re-do EVP sessions without others present and preferably with lights out.

Mary: When other team members were in the screen porch trying to recreate Beth's sighting of a man (solid, dark grey and black) wearing a hat. Kathy, Cheryl and I sat just outside and listened to an EVP session they were also conducting. My KII meter was wedged on when Cheryl noticed that it had spiked greatly. Further tests showed it was her cell phone powering up. However. one that was determined and the cell phone no longer a factor, we began to notice spikes in the KII in response to some of the questions being asked in the EVP session. Flickering occured on the following questions: 1. Were the entity that Beth saw? 2. Do you interact with the family? 3. Did you live here at one time? 4. Do you go into the master bedroom? 5. Are you sad? (higher spike) and 6. Do you go into the blue room (question was about the blue room, but am not sure of the exact question).

David I noted a spike on the EMF reader when entering the master bedroom. After that, the meter stayed on 0 the rest of the night.
