While 5 members of the SPIRITS went upstairs, Brandy interviewed members of the home.

Eldest son, 19

First person in the house, stayed in house one week before everyone moved in. Started to happen periodically. Walking around, hear the sound of newspaper rustling, furniture moving. In bed, felt like a small animal in the bed. Looking around, nothing there. 3-26-09, felt something in the bed, nothing there. Feels comfortable with the phenomena. Seen “things” twice, never saw the features.

First night -- something grab my leg. I saw a short person, no face, no nothing. I knew that they were looking at me, that they turned their head to look at me, and then they were gone when I turned on the light.

The most recent that happened at the start of the month, I was on the phone, I felt someone near me. I turned around and there was a big figure next to me. There was a dark figure behind me. A shadow figure (“as if a shadow could stand up“). Felt that it was more from next door.

Closet lights being on when they are not supposed to be, closet doors opening.

[Hall closet light had been on, despite closet being barricaded, the cubby closet in the guitar room. The closets that he is talking about, he had music on the computer, and when he went back up there the closet doors were open. They were not open when he first got there].

The bed issue is every night. Shut the door, and lie down and it happens. It is only if I am in the bed by myself. If someone is in the room with me, it doesn’t happen. Keeping door open stopped it for a time, then it started even with the door open. TV on, stopped it. Got adjusted and started.

Closet doors opened on their own. Came down to first floor to talk about it. Heard furniture moving upstairs. No one else present except for two of us [me and Mom], both downstairs. [First time heard things together].

[Cheryl: Sounds like things dragging along?

Home owner: Sounds like footsteps and then a dresser getting drug along. The first time I heard it it was 3 a.m. We had never discussed it the three nights we had heard it, until I got locked out of the “blue room”. I got up in the morning and the kids went to school. The door to that room doesn’t lock, it sort of bounces. I had an armful of laundry and it would not open. I had to kick the door in and the lock flew off. I don’t know how it locked as it was a latch lock on the inside -- how does a room lock with no body in it?]

Might be an animal or a child pulling on the bed sheets trying to wake you up. Feels like something tugging on the bed. Sometimes feels like something walking on the bed, or on my back.

[The night that he saw the face, he was terrified. When it grabbed its leg, he opened his eyes. It has no features. When he gasped, it darted away. It moved towards the TV and stopped, turned towards him. When he turned on the light it was gone. He was trying to turn on the ceiling fan light to see it and it was gone.]

Acts likes a younger sibling. Creepy closets (family title) in his room. Even though door closed and barricaded.

3-26: Trying to go to sleep. It was about 5 a.m. He was trying to get to bed and he felt the presence with him. He was very annoyed with it, and swatted it. Got his Mom to come up with him. She went up to sleep on the couch in his room. She didn’t see anything in him. She was resting and he had started to rest. He suddenly jumped up and said that he could hear whispering. Asked where the sound originated; said aboce the ears….could this be clair audio (whispers behind the ear).

Self-described: Musical, spiritual.

Other houses that are haunted: nothing that I can recall.

Wiring: Called electric company, Progress Energy did survey and it was fine. Survey done in 2008 (?)

Son, 12:

“The little room” [the pink room] making ninja stars out of paper, TV turned on its own full blast. Image was a red face, yellow teeth.

One day, I came down and Mom asked “do you smell that?” and I could smell roses, flowers, in my face.

One night I was in my brother’s room, with my brothers and sisters in my room, and I saw a figure out of the corner of my eye, I could see a man, stared at me for a second, walked past and disappeared.

[Home owner: He pointed to a picture of a man -- black and white photograph; he could see the mustache, hair, and everything].

[Home owner: he had been bugging me for an hour straight for a necklace. He had looked in many drawers and had every drawer open. He said that when he turned the radio down, he heard the dresser drawer slam]. In Lance’s room [guitar room]….had radio on, semi-loud….heard a huge noise….a plant that was on the dresser was shaking. The same night or the next day, outside on the computer, out of the corner of my eye I saw the dark figure again, darting up the other staircase.

Son (12) was in (semi-share the room, plays video games, music, but won’t sleep in there) Lance’s room, feels as if he is being watched.

I think that the figure that I saw was Warren Church, the figure that I saw outside was somebody from the other house.

Shadow figure darted through the wall and through a telephone. Looked outside to make sure there were no cars and there was nothing there.

This is the only house that I’ve had this experience. Music, art and sword collection.

Daughter, 5: (as reported by Mother)

First one -- we had moved in and she had said she had seen a dead man on a hill. She was terrified on that. Lance said to show him, when he walked her onto the sidewalk she would not look but only pointed. A couple of months went by and she was walking with a neighbor in the green house, she made a comment to a neighbor about a man on a hill in black boots. With questioning, she would close up. She would not talk about it unless she wanted to.

She was in the hospital to see the doctor and she said that there was a dead lady in the hospital….described her as having an “owie” on her leg.

Dead girl in the house that she liked. Does not like entity outside.

Doing dishes one night (Mom and Trinity) and she came running in and said that there was a kid on the front porch. I saw something out of the corner of my eye and there was a kid standing there.

Won’t go into her room. All the boys must be there, and her friends must be there, and she won’t go up there. Moved from another room on the first floor where she kept getting sick.

House has been blessed with holy water.

Noelle (friend):

In kitchen with son (19); facing hallway….saw the light turn off, on, for a few seconds, on and off….it stopped doing it when I could finally speak.

Kim and Noelle: discovered a Bible marked with passages relating to the plague….radio came on with the theme from “Ghost”.

Kim thought she saw Noelle walking up the walkway but the woman (with long hair) had vanished. [We had no furniture in the house, Noelle had left her son with Trinity, and went to get food. I saw a girl with a cape, and brown hair parted hair, wavy, coming up. I went to the door and thought it was Noelle coming back, but when I got there, no one was there.] Neighbor saw the same girl same spot….

Heard noises as well. Heard about man in the tree from Trinity.

Walk through discussion 1:

Cheryl: Didn’t like the hallway upstairs. Ominous male figure in guitar bedroom at the end. Standing there staring down at someone. Hands clenched. Wanted to have his way with anyone in there. In the kitchen, it felt very clinical to me. I had a weird taste (iodine) in my mouth. It felt like a doctor’s office or mortuary. “Mediciney.” Abortion clinic for very rich girls. They did things here that no one talked about medicine wise. Waiting to see the doctor is the strongest feeling that I have.

Mary: the guitar room: KII meter, which rarely does anything, towards the middle, end and center of the bed went off (spikes) and other EMF meters spiked as well. Walking out of that room, I felt that there was a definite temperature difference in the hallway. I was behind the others when I came out of there. When we went into the blue room (first room to the right outside the guitar room) there isn’t a good feeling in that room. I started to taste a metallic taste (not really, but as close as I can come). There is something there….I felt like I could smell cigarette smoke followed us around. I smelled that again; in the girls room I could smell it as well. The room upstairs, right by the loft, don’t think that was always that way. It may have been sleeping quarters at one time. Something doesn’t feel quite right about that end of the upstairs. I am intrigued by something up there. There is a window up there that was disturbing. The brides’ room (downstairs towards back) much cooler. There is no window that air is coming through, but it is most deficiently cool. The coolness stayed with us in the hallway moving down the stairs. The kitchen is remodeled in the 1930s, not like it was originally. The Masonic picture, third guy from the right sitting down, something about him.

[Homeowner: All Children’s Hospital is behind us]

Beth: When I first walked in, I felt like that there was someone frightened of something in the house -- hostile….possibly unwanted. When we went into the guitar room, I was drawn to the cubby area, I felt a lot of area in that side of the area. That area of the house had the bathroom and the window. Upon exiting the blue room, I felt as if I was stabbed in the back of the right shoulder blade. That feeling stayed with me for the time that we were upstairs. I felt that someone was behind me. I felt that someone wanted to communicate with me and followed into the pink room as well. In the hallway I felt a cool breeze, though temp was reading at 90 degrees. After coming downstairs, I heard “rental” I wrote “apartment” and then changed it to “boarding house”. In the Bride’s room, reading was 87, but felt cold breeze. In the kitchen I heard a loud sign. At the window in the dining room, I see a woman sitting there looking out. I look out and see the creek, and the stairs leading up to the house are leading there. Someone watching and waiting at the stairs. I am thinking closer to the 1930s, I don’t think that it was any earlier than that. One thing that I found really interesting, Les and I had traveled through this area a couple of months ago, I heard someone say “You commented on this house” referring to our trip through this area. {Les: I think that what we commented on is that you couldn’t even see that there was a house up there.} I think that this is the “peeling potatoes house” -- a vision of a woman peeling potatoes (modern day woman, dark hair, hair down, shoulder length or longer, jeans, no shoes, peeling carrots or potatoes. The vision changed to a woman from the 1950s doing the same thing).

Erin: This house is very overwhelming. There is so much energy from everywhere. The upstairs had a really heavy feeling to it. The Ovilus wasn’t working. The only time that it said anything was at the top of the stairs in the guitar room, it said “Upstairs” twice, “mercury”, “art”, “air”. That was it until we changed the battery. In the hallway, I was standing in between the blue and pink room looking at both rooms, I felt as if there was a heavy feeling pushing against my chest. I didn’t want to go into the pink room when I first looked in there. I didn’t get anything else until the kitchen, I heard the sigh. Everyone else thought it was someone else. Three of us heard it. Mary did not and Les was not in the room. Changed batteries in the Ovilus, dining room said “light” porch it said “art”. Don’t feel much in here, more upstairs.

Les: EMFs: Guitar room, very high, on bed and on the floor. Electric must be running in the floors. The kitchen and back porch had lowest EMF in the house. The whole house base was 2.5. Felt a cold spot in the hallway and in the bride’s room. Double checked windows upstairs and in bride’s room.

Brandy: Interview with homeowner and younger folks and friends. Cold spots behind me in the dining room and verified that room was closed. Puck read 89 degrees and it did not change. EMF spike at 9:43 from 1.5 (approx. to 2. 5). Only word to repeat was “grandfather” and doctor and a few religious terms. Several sexual innuendos.

Where to investigate: Hallway, middle of hallway. Between closets and doors. Kitchen and bride’s room.

Downstairs: High EMF recorded on PP, and a lot of words spoken. No EMF really registered before. Left room, EMF went down. Went back in and EMF went back up. Determined that the EMF was related to the wall plug that was supporting the computer.

Cabinet opened on its own; after further study, we determined that the cabinet would not close on its own. Discovered that some of the pans had shifted, possibly while we were walking in there, and had opened the door.

EVP session:

Beth: A woman made him very angry. He is possessive. He walks the hallway into the guitar room. He wants to go after her, his shoulders are up. He is angry, it’s a possession. I am getting a playback, not a communication but a memory. Name: John, (BETH), (Mary): Ja name. Angry feeling….arms clenched at his side. Big shoulders. Hands clenched at his side, shoulders are determined. He wants to have his way with her; powerful domineering figure, very angry. Would he communicate with men or women? Unknown?

Mary: Feel as if a small child is involved, a young boy. Is that where I am getting “hiding”?

The area that he is walking in was open. She knew that he was coming and she knew that he was angry. I don’t detect a child but I detect something being hidden.

Cheryl: Military uniform? Dark blue? Business suit? Short hair, tall guy not heavy.

Rage fills this room, almost marching back to the room. I don’t think that he is interacting with people, more of a memory.

Cheryl: I had the feeling that something ran around the corner and under the pink bed. Not a solid form, it zig zagged to the bed, then to the side, then to the bed.

Beth: something here wanted to communicate here with us. Felt that it was being prevented.

Beth: Admiral.

History of the house: Church sold it to Goldner? Prior to both owners?

Downstairs. Beth: Lady by the window: Has an “A” name; Erin asks -- is it Anna? Ahnna?

First moved in: Lights flickered. In the living room, the flicker would follow them from room to room.

Daughter smelled roses in house. I was here in the dining room and I smelled flowers by the window (noted by Beth).

Lights came on and strobed on and off on their own; esp. with people family doesn‘t like.

Another son (C) saw the faucets turn on full blast on their own.

Friend visiting: Saw in a mirror reflected in the stairwell, two black figures dart into the wall.

Upstairs: the bed, closets, the footsteps, hearing them pacing at the top landing. Hear three steps, then the dresser….always on the right side. I had carpet there at one time, and could still hear the footsteps.

Houses on either side express signs of haunting.

Research building family; families on either side of the house.

Post-investigation conversation with homeowner resulted in the following info:

Beth: The vision that you had might have been true. Around Feb. 25th the homeowner at Roser said that she was in the kitchen making potato salad (had 40 people so a lot of potatoes) and she never wears shoes in the house....! When did you have the vision? (Her answer: the time of the 14th Ave. investigation, 3-13).

Erin during the start of the experiment (above). The window where Brandy felt cold (readings did not deviate from 89 degrees), Beth sensed a woman looking out, and homeowner later told us that she had sensed the smell of roses.

Mary: The KII meter spiked in the room known as the guitar room when placed on the bed. The KII does not usually show much response, but on this investigation it had fairly high spikes when placed anywhere from the middle of the bed to the foot. Other EMF meters also recorded high spikes at the same place.

Mary: When leaving the guitar room, I noticed a significant cold spot. Going down the hallway, the first bedroom on the right (blue room), had a definite unfriendly feel to it which extended to the door of the next bedroom. At the end of the hall and just past the stairs, there was a large open area, now made into a sitting area, which did not seem to me to have been original to the house, at least not as a totally enclosed area. I It had the feeling of maybe being a porch or sun room at one time, and I had the feeling of a lot of greenery there. At the end of this space and just behind the stairs was a window that was virtually impossible to get to, again making it seem like this area had been modified from the original structure. There was a smell of cigarette smoke that came and went sporadically throughout the house. Just outside the kitchen door, in the dining room, there was a the odor of what I thought was cherry pipe tobacco. There was a noticeable coldness in the bride's room. I did have an almost metallic taste in my mouth that first appeared upstairs and would periodically return throughout the investigation. When the team revisited the 2nd floor to check what we felt were hot spots, the atmosphere was totally different to me and I picked up nothing else.

Mary: This house, located in an historic area of St Pete, was platted in 1916 and built in 1919. From records that were obtained from city records, cross reference directories, and censuses, it appears that there may have been a bit if turmoil within this house. The residents of the home, a couple in their 70s who may have been the owners, lived there with their married daughter and son-in-law. Their daughter was quite accomplished and also quite a bit older than her husband (She was born in 1886 and he in 1893. They were married when she was 25 and he 18). Her parents moved from NY to St Petersburg first about 1926 followed by their daughter and son-in-law in 1928. For several years the younger couple do not live with them. Their daughter returned alone for a couple of years, then was joined by her husband in 1935 when he returned for his "7th winter season in the Sunshine City from Denver, Co." After her father died in 1938-1939, her husband seems to have lived there permanently. (Some of his absences may have been explained in that he was a salesman or manufacturer's rep, during part of thta time). At some point the house was converted to a multi-family dwelling according to property records.

Since a lot of activity was felt on our original walk-through in the upstairs hallway, it might be beneficial to leave a video camera running while the recheck is being conducted to see if there is any phenomeona that is recorded either visually or audibly. Also the review team could double check where the orb was gotten just outside the guitar room to rule out any reflecive surfaces.

Mary: The oldest son who sleeps in the guitar room has reported some phemonena. It is a possiblity that the high EMF reading that we obtained on the investigation may be influential in causing some of the occurences. Activity also seems higher when he is present.

Beth- I had a vision of a young woman sitting in the dining room looking out onto a park. (possibly an A name) She seems to be watching and waiting for someone. In the red room at the base of the stairs I heard "rental" then "boarding". In the upstairs hallway I had a vision of a large, broad shouldered man in a blue uniform. He was angry and going toward the guitar room to find a woman. He gave me the sense that he was outraged and felt that he possessed the woman and she had betrayed him in some way. I do not believe that was a married couple. I got the name John for the man. I think that the pain in the shoulder that I had felt earlier was related to this man. He seemed to have haunched and tight shoulders. In the kitchen, I heard a loud sigh. (female) I asked if it was any of the other team members, but it was not from them.

Les High EMF readings in Guitar room on the bed and at floor level also seemed to higher readinds at the floor level throughout the upstairs. There very high readings at various times in the Kitchen but later realized that it was from the wall plug that the laptop was plugged into. Also noticed that high readings were at the ceiling level downstairs which we now assume means that the house wiring must run through the floor/ceiling between floors.

Brandy: The Paranormal Puck was quite active that night. It came up with words that I noted during the EVP session: ghost, haunting, coffin (as well as "bunny boots"), incarnation...homeowner noted "Walter" showing up quite a bit (perhaps instead of "Warren", the name of the homeowner that she thinks is haunting the home). Computer went through a lot of power/battery drainage. I felt a cold spot during the investigation but the Paranormal Puck did not register any temp flux; it recorded an even 89 degrees the entire time. It also got one EMF spike (1.5 to 2.9) at 9:45 p.m. while I was in the dining room, post interviews with the family.

At one point, the Puck did register HUGE EMF flux in the kitchen. We disproved that was a haunted activity as we realized that the EMF was not there when the first team walked through, returned when we were there, and came from a wall that had a disconnected phone (decoration). We noted that there was one power plug (the computer, having lost nearly its entire battery supply, was plugged in at the time) that was active. When we were in the room, I would plug in my computer setting off the power. When we left, I would take the computer with me, unplugging it, and thus the EMF disappeared. However, it was neat to see the EMF readings (they looked like the "sails" on the Skyway Bridge!) We also noted that a door to a cabinet appeared to open on its own. However, we quickly disproved that as paranormal as the door would not close; when opened we saw a dish had shifted out and was partially blocking the door. The movement in the kitchen and the old floor likely did allow for the dishes to shift slightly, knocking the door open and blocking the door. Upstairs, the EMF was a bit higher than average. It read a 2.5 as a base reading, where as new houses usually get a .02 or so. I wonder if that would affect homeowners at all. EVPs = null Digital images = null Film currently being developed.

Cold spot felt while first team was upstairs. I had finished interviews and was putting up misc. unused equipment. Cold at my back yet no registered temp flux. Also, Beth noted that there was a sensation of a woman sitting at the window looking at. Homeowner confirmed that she had an experience of a flower smell (never said where) in front of the window. Second floor I felt a little dizzy.

House built in 1919 and a part of the old Roser Park area. The family in it, though, is strange. They owned the home until 1970. Apparently a mother and father co-owned it with their married daughter and son-in-law. The daughter married a man 7 years younger than her. The father's name was John (verified during the third EVP session...I asked Beth if she got a name with the entity. She answered "John." Mary also added that she had picked up a "Juh" name). Home changed hands two more times since the original family.

Brandy: I am curious about the following: The eldest son reports the most phenomena. Without being told, and on the EVP session in the second room, Mary notes that she picked up activity was mostly with this son. Many of the reports of phenomena focus on the son or his being present, a middle child, or the youngest child are also witnesses. The mother is also sometimes present. However, during the first walk through, in which I interviewed homeowners while team was upstairs, the children were present. Team felt a lot of energy on the second floor and Beth reported that an entity wanted to communicate with the team on the first team discussion. The second time we went up, the children were gone and whatever "it" was was also gone; Beth felt an entire energy shift, there was nothing there able or willing to communicate. We had no EVPs, physical phenomena (other than the one experiment with Erin lying in the bed to see if she sensed what the eldest son reported -- a presence behind him in the bed. She did). Honestly, I do not expect to find any images in the film camera, either. When I spoke to the homeowner this week, she said that things were calm until the eldest son came home. Then a closet door opened on its own (as witnessed by the middle child). If the eldest son is a catalyst for activity, i.e., a power source, I suspect that he will grow out of it (as typical per similar reported cases). However, would like to check the second floor again with the eldest son present. Activity seems to center around him. While it is not hostile, it is annoying and I wonder if, while he is present, it will be able to communicate with us, thus ending activity. If the son or children are part of the haunting, it is quite likely that he/they will outgrow this with time (as reported through other similar cases). However, the children did report living in other homes and NOT having phenomena present with them. This remains a bit of a puzzle.

Also, trying to piece together the family history of the original home builders is pretty difficult....suspect that the other entities in the home are related to the ghosts of the first owners. The oddness of the parent-daughter relationship, her marriage to a younger man, and his lack of citations through historical documents is rather remarkable.

Cheryl's Report:

I investigated using my digital recorder, digital camera and digital camcorder as well as an EMF meter.

The house was very impressive and seemed to have a personality of it's own. During the initial walk-through, I felt an ominous presence in the upstairs hallway and had a feeling of a large man standing in the doorway of the back bedroom. He seemed very upset and almost as if he was intending to overpower someone. The kitchen seemed very clinical to me, as if it was at some point used for something other than a kitchen, maybe a doctor's office of some sort.

While we were doing EVP work in the large upstairs bedroom, I noticed something in the hallway that darted into the pink bedroom, zig-zagged around the room and went under the bed. The best way I can describe it is a "shadow critter" as it was about the size of a guinea pig. It was light gray in color and I could not see specific details as it moved very fast under the bed.

I reviewed my digital pictures and did find a orb in the upstairs hallway by the door of the larger bedroom. The orb appears to be inside a silk flower arrangement which is something I've not seen before.

No evidence was found in the EVP sessions from my recorder, nor did video produce evidence.

On a scale of 1-10 for being haunted, I'd say this ranks as a 6. However, this house, and it's story, has crept into my subconscious as I have even dreamed of the house since our investigation. The house includes a lot of antique pieces which could also harbor energy from past owners, as well as the house itself.

Erin- When we first went upstairs, the Ovilus said a few words before the battery either drained or just died and it didn't say anything else for the rest of the walkthrough. It did say "upstairs" twice before it died.

Erin- My chest hurt in the upstairs hall, while standing in between the pink and blue rooms. A very heavy feeling, like someone was pushing on my chest. In the kitchen, a few of us heard a sigh. When Beth asked if anyone had sighed, everyone said they had not, but they had heard it.

Erin- The house was originally owned by John G. Bly and his wife, Jennie. Lena Church inherited it from her father with her husband, Warren. Jennie Bly died in the house. In the 1935 Florida census, the property owner is listed as John Bly, and the other occupants of the house are Jennie Bly, Warren & Lena Church, and Warren's mother, Nellie Church. In the 1930 FL census, the occupants were John & Jennie Bly, and their daughter, Lena Church. Her husband is not listed. In the 1920 New York census, Warren and Lena Church were living in Franklinville, NY on their own. Warren was 26, and Lena was 34. They had no children. Lena was very socially active and popular. She held many events as the 10th Ave residence, as a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority through Florida State College for Women.

Beth: When I first walked in, I felt like that there was someone frightened of something in the house -- hostile….possibly unwanted. When we went into the guitar room, I was drawn to the cubby area, I felt a lot of energy in that side of the area. That area of the house had the bathroom and the window. Upon exiting the blue room, I felt as if I was stabbed in the back of the right shoulder blade. That feeling stayed with me for the time that we were upstairs. I felt that someone was behind me. I felt that someone wanted to communicate with me and followed into the pink room as well. In the hallway I felt a cool breeze, though temp was reading at 90 degrees. After coming downstairs, I heard “rental” I wrote “apartment” and then changed it to “boarding house”. In the Bride’s room, reading was 87, but felt cold breeze. In the kitchen I heard a loud sign. At the window in the dining room, I see a woman sitting there looking out. I look out and see the creek, and the stairs leading up to the house are leading there. Someone watching and waiting at the stairs. I am thinking closer to the 1930s, I don’t think that it was any earlier than that. One thing that I found really interesting, Les and I had traveled through this area a couple of months ago, I heard someone say “You commented on this house” referring to our trip through this area. {Les: I think that what we commented on is that you couldn’t even see that there was a house up there.} I think that this is the “peeling potatoes house” -- a vision of a woman peeling potatoes (modern day woman, dark hair, hair down, shoulder length or longer, jeans, no shoes, peeling carrots or potatoes. The vision changed to a woman from the 1950s doing the same thing).

[The house next door is scary; originally a doctor’s office at first. The other house had pentagrams all over the doors when they moved out. She was a nurse; two girls and they would not say hello to them].

The area that he is walking in was open. She knew that he was coming and she knew that he was angry. I don’t detect a child but I detect something being hidden.

Cheryl: Military uniform? Dark blue? Business suit? Short hair, tall guy not heavy.

Rage fills this room, almost marching back to the room. I don’t think that he is interacting with people, more of a memory.

Cheryl: I had the feeling that something ran around the corner and under the pink bed. Not a solid form, it zig zagged to the bed, then to the side, then to the bed.

Beth: something here wanted to communicate here with us. Felt that it was being prevented.

First thing that I saw was a young girl walking by on a front porch. She was looking down, half way past the door and then she was gone. She had brown hair; late teens/early 20s.

I was sitting on the long couch in the living room; looked up at a mirror and saw a huge black thing went shooting by. It went towards the wall where the windows are. It was a large black object; I couldn’t tell what it was. Happened several months ago.

I smell flowers one day; I kept asking what the smell was; gardenia smell and very strong. Asked if they ere burning incense but no. Thought it might be next door but their windows were closed. Was toward the kitchen windows.

I was about to get into the shower and turn the shower on. All of the sudden I heard the sink come on with water coming out it; turned off the shower and saw the knobs were on full blast.

Cheryl: Ovilus: It said a name twice -- “Peter”. I have never noticed that it do that again. When I got the thermometer it said “meter” as you handed it to me. While we were upstairs it said “upstairs”, it said “drink” and “fit” quite a bit. When I came downstairs it said “stairs” and “step”; “Apple”, “art” and “ax” came up. I didn’t notice from the last time that the EMF field still goes down the center of the room but the bed is out of the field more than it was last time we were here. Didn’t notice any odd feelings or sensations. Pictures showed orbs outside but likely humidity and dust.

Kathy: We started outside; I got orbs outside, too. The little steps that come up from the brick road, I felt a child sitting on those steps, waiting. When we came in, I felt a negative energy around the table in the kitchen. I was very drawn to the drawn closet by the bathroom. I had to look in it as it just bothered me. Upstairs, the Blue room, the little door at the head of the bed freaked me out. Walking toward the guitar room, walking towards it, I got a weird feeling but drawn to go in there. I felt like when I walked in there that there would be someone in there. Kneeling next to the bed and it felt like someone touched the back of my neck. That is when I took the picture and there was the orb behind me.

Mary: Nothing. Not the first thing. The only thing is with the KII meter, the high spikes are down the center of the floor where the bed had been before. It stopped where the middle of the bed was the last time we were here.

Beth: Coming when we first came in I smelled a flowery smell in the dining room. I didn’t get anything outside, when we came in the first floor hallway, I heard a whisper in my ear, it was male, but I couldn’t tell anything that it was saying. Went up to the guitar room and I thought my husband was touching the front of my shirt and I said “Stop that”. He wasn’t touching me, his hands full. (Kathy: She said to “stop that” and we had no idea what she was talking about”)…. Upstairs again, I still have the feeling of hiding and in that area, at first it was the guitar room in the cubby area, but the more I think about it, I think it is the first closet out in the hallway. When I go there, I hear the word “hide” and that is twice now that I have had that same feeling. I didn’t feel the same things that I had last time; I didn’t see the same vision from last time. Going upstairs with Denise I got the “stab in the back” feeling and got the scenario that was going to play again; it’s a place memory (something that played out).

Les: Confirmed all of the EMF readings that we had; low downstairs, high downstairs. EMF was only in the foot of the bed. Outside there was very little EMF except where the street signs were.

Denise: I really didn’t get much at all. I don’t think that there is an entity present here. I don’t like it upstairs, it scares me to death. I don’t want to be up there alone. Basically, the only partial name I got was male name “Andy” “An-something”, “Andromeda”, the other name was “Slider” or “Snider”…there is a masculine energy that has been in here. You can feel like the sense of the boots walking. Not creaking, but actual walking from this energy. Couldn’t use EMF upstairs. That’s it.

Beth: We did hear the sound of a mister going off in the bathroom…

Kathy: Do we know if this is a boarding house at one time? Upstairs feels like it could be a separate area; feels like a boarding house at a time.

While sitting with the group a sweet air freshner; flowery smell came out. We checked the surrounding area; a/c was on, but various members reported the scent and some got it before the a/c was on. Homeowner says there is nothing fragrant here.

Brandy: Homeowners reported that they saw a brown hat moving on its own. I went in and did a video and I saw nothing. I did hear that as soon as I walked in it stopped moving.

Beth, Kathy, Brandy, and Cheryl stayed upstairs for about 10 - 15 minutes after the EVP session. We stayed with the lights off. Beth on bed, Brandy at the foot of the bed, Cheryl and Kathy in the love seat. Cheryl heard a voice; Brandy heard a voice saying “Mama”, “Mama” and then “Ma-ma”…sounded as if the voice came from outside. About two minutes later Beth heard a click behind her, then a voice say “Get out.”

Brandy had a “vision” of a man with messy white hair and a mustache storm up and hunch down as if screaming.

Cheryl saw a black shadow moving out in the hallway.

H.O.: What would cause my daughter to get sick? Moved in and got chicken pox, rashes, ringworm….

Daughter had chicken pox; Beth: immunity is down for about a year after that. It could be that her immunity was just down.

Beth: I think it is interesting to note that Kim felt drawn here. I had the vision before we came here (2 weeks before). A year before, Les and I were driving here and I saw the house and felt drawn to it then.

Homeowner: The house next door they saw a man in the kitchen a little girl upstairs.

Items missing: an iPhone went missing; bracelets; two days ago we found the bracelets shoved under a lamp and a week after the phone went missing it was found in a drawer. I tore the room apart and never found it. My daughter’s hairbrush went missing, but it’s common stuff that we might misplace. Andrew: Lanzt’s friend Andrew stayed here for the first few days; Andrew would lose things here. We’d find his things lying out in the lawn; the memory cards outside; found a picture under the porch. And we found a silver ring.

Very unusual events for me: 1) While sitting in upstairs bedroom with 3 other SPIRITS members, I "heard" a small child call "Momma", "Momma", then "Mom...ma!" About a minute later, I had closed my eyes and "saw" a man standing over us and yelling. He had white hair, a black mustache, dark pants, white shirt. He had disheveled hair and looked very frustrated with us. A short time later, Beth told us we had to go; she heard "get out". On EVP by Cheryl, there is something being said. It sounds like "Get UP". It happens right before Beth announced that she heard "Get out". This is very strange for me as I'm not normally prone to hearing or seeing things. However, earlier in the day, I was at a haunted location. Sitting by myself with the EMF meter I asked if anyone was present. At the moment the EMF meter spiked I HEARD "Yes" in a feminine voice. I don't know what was different about this day except for extreme fatigue...It was very odd.

Beth's Report

My role in the recheck investigation was as a sensitive. In the first floor hallway near the bathroom I heard a whisper in my left ear. It was quite loud, but I was unable to make out any words. The two other team members with me did not hear the sound. I was seated in the love seat in the guitar room when I felt something touch my chest. While giving our initial reports in the dining room I smelled a floral scent, very strong. The smell was strong and reminded me of gardenia or magnolia. Windows were closed and there were no flowers or potpourri in the area.

During an EVP session in the guitar room I was lying across the bed. Shortly after entering the room I heard a sigh that was heard by but did not come from the other members of the team. For several minutes there was complete silence. I then heard a clicking sound behind me (coming from the corner). I turned to see where the clicking came from and heard in my ear "get out". I then turned off my audio recorder and told the other team members what I had heard and that I was leaving the room. Upon reviewing the audio findings, I heard a rather loud "umm" sound that I am sure I did not make.

Kathy's report

I was not on the first investigation but I did go to the recheck.

I had my digital camera and I am a sensitive.

My team investigated the outside first and there I felt the energy of a child sitting on the steps near the street. When we went inside I felt a bad energy near the table in the kitchen. I was very drawn to the closet in the hallway near the bathroom. As I was walking toward the guitar room I was a little freaked out but I was also drawn to it. I felt like I was going to walk in and find someone already in there. While I was in there I felt someone touching the back of my neck.

EVP from Roser II. There are some strange murmmers (Unknown), some hear "momma" repeated, and then Beth, our sensitive will say "uhm" -- right before the "uhm" there is "Get" -- Uhm -- "Up!" I had to slow the EVP down a little bit to get the words clearer. Then, Beth says "I have to go -- I heard "Get Out"....

Homeowner reported finding a map in the back of her pantry. She and friend were sealing and repainting the cabinets and had pulled out the drawers. Stuck behind one was a map that said "John was here" and pointed to a spot in Ohio.

The house is getting quiet again. Son reported seeing his "sister" outside alone in the rain -- mother pointed to sister who was asleep on the couch. No one was outside.

Verna: Saw two men standing in front of the fireplace. Appeared to be talking to each other; older dress (1920s. 1930s, 1940s). Ouija board have a lot of energy; might not want to have it in the house. Upstairs to the guitar room; very uncomfortable in there. The second bedroom was a porch at one time; I brought up a person that my parents stayed with when they were buying the house -- because this house feels as if it was rented at one time.

Second Team:

Erin: the first thing that came up in the Red Room, a lot of energy that comes from the sewing machine. We found out that the EMF goes up when the puck is placed on the machine. Upstairs, a feeling of doom; tense feeling in the hallway and to the guitar room. (Spike up to the 4th light).

Kathy: When we started out in the bedroom where the wedding gown is; I felt OK, then the left side of my head started to hurt; I didn’t feel anything in the kitchen or dining room; tightness in the left shoulder in the sitting area toward the front. Red room; shoulder started to hurt more as did my head. Upstairs, it went away, and I didn’t feel anything again until we went into the guitar room. Dizzy feeling right outside the door; every time I stood outside the bed, I had pain in my left shoulder and head. I felt ill in that room. I thought I felt the bed vibrate a little bit. When I walked away from the bed, I felt a little better. I got severe pain in the shoulder.

EMF readings remained the same as before with very high readings at the floor level upstairs and at the ceiling downstairs. Temperature from 80 to 87 but no cold spots found. I did however, for the first time, smell flowers in the diningroom next to the windows and the door that leads to the kitchen. Erin- Witnessed Mary's K-II meter light up many times while sitting at the dining room table discussing the investigation. There was no rhythm to this, and seemed to happen in collaboration with the conversation we were having at the time.

Downstairs, while Beth, Kathy, and I were sitting at the table discussing some things we had picked up in the house, we kept feeling as if "someone" was coming into the room, and it would get very cold in there. We all got chills several times, and felt as if we were being watched while we talked. This went on for a period of 15-20 minutes or so until the rest of the team came back downstairs.

I saw two fingers trace down my pillow; I will be on the computer and hear something behind me -- whispering.

One night I thought that I heard the door creaking; looked around, but then heard a very clear voice ask “What are you doing?”

One of my friends saw the little girl at the bottom of the stairs. The friend asked if there was another kid here; he said that he was at the top of the landing (around 9:30); he saw a little girl who was coming up. She looked straight at him; I moved to get out of the way. Brownish brown hair, black dress, bob haircut. The ankle boots were really shiny black. The dress is really long. He said that she went into the room on the other side of the staircase. Age: 7 - 9 (Looks like Trinity but looks older).

My TV turned off and my door locked; it does not lock easily. The entity locked him in the room.

Bed had been rocking again; does this every night. Used to be when I was asleep, but now it’s doing this when I’m awake.

Homeowner had her bed rocking; I looked to make sure that it wasn’t the cat or the dog; put my palms down and the whole bed vibrated. It was really rocking…

I would see something that looked blurry, like a heat apparition; like someone walking up the stairs. I saw it in the dining room; I don’t see it any more.
